The school day had been mostly boring, though Alexis had spent it watching people and listening. Listening seemed to be the key. The rumors had created a breach in the norm, and opening and a chance for change, and all she had to do was take it while she could. And why not? She'd be gone next year, most likely. It had her mind spinning with possibilities and she began to plot, making lists and making notes. She could read the books in Nevermore any day of the week.
