Catchup Before Dodgeball

Who: Alexis and Peyton
Where: Gym Class
When: 6th Hour

"How are things with you and Isaac?" Alexis asked, propping her foot up on the bench to tie her shoe. Gym class had become the place to catch up with Peyton, no matter what activity they were doing. She did realize some sports made it harder to converse, though even dodgeball would work, so long as they got out first.

Peyton glanced at Alexis while she pulled her hair back into a ponytail. "Really good, actually." And she didn't mind saying that loud enough for anyone to overhear. "Honestly, I think it's going to take a lot more than a stupid rumor to cause any real problems." She sat down on the bench next to wear Alexis was tying her shoe and bent over to tie her own. "How's the dance thing going?"

Preparty Gossip

Who: Peyton and Alexis
Where: Alexis's house
When: Evening

It was six thirty by the time Peyton decided to walk over to Alexis's. Tyler had left already to drive to Gabe's to help the other guys set up, and as Isaac was one of the "guys" too, Peyton refrained from calling him to occupy some of her free time before the party. So after eating dinner with her dad, Peyton changed and slipped on her shoes before heading out.

It wasn't terribly hard to find Alexis's house, given Peyton knew the town like the back of her hand, and the street name had been familiar to her. Stepping up to the door, Peyton knocked and waited, hoping Alexis wouldn't mind if she were thirty minutes early.

Alexis had nothing better to do than wait around for Peyton to show up. Her dad was "working", and she'd only been lounging around reading a book she'd found at Nevermore. It was interesting, but not near as nice as actual company. When a knock came from the front door, she hopped up, checking the peep-hole before opening the door. "Hey," she smiled, "You're early. Wanna come in?"

Better Than Dodgeball

Who: Peyton and Alexis
When: Afternoon
Where: Gym class

If there was one thing Peyton was looking forward to, it was the end of the semester. Because that meant no more gym class. She wasn't by any means athletic, and she hated sports when she had to dress up and play them in front of class mates, so she had put off taking the damn class until she absolutely had to. The t-shirt and shorts she was forced to wear made her feel awkward, but she couldn't get away with playing volleyball in jeans, so she learned to deal.

After changing, she pulled her hair back into a ponytail and sat on the wooden bench in front of her locker to tie her sneaker. She was tired after having Isaac over the night before and... well, doing that, and then Geo showing up late to use her computer and... she hadn't gotten much sleep. Not that she was complaining about it really. Spending time with two of her favorite people was never going to put her in a sour mood. Gym, however? That was another story.
