Attacks had been coming off and on all day, but none enough to get people hurt. It had almost been like the demons were testing the defences of those holed up in the chapel. When a real attack came, it came suddenly, as another window exploded inwards, showering the room with glass as a black shape hurtled through with apparently no thought to the holy ground it would be landing on.

Who: Caleb and Nic, OPEN TO ALL TEENS
Where: Halls of the hospital, hospital chapel
When: 4 A.M.-ish
Caleb was relieved when the two groups converged on one another, both having been headed for the other group. So, at least that was handy, and it appeared no one was missing. Or, well, no students. With the brief description of the creature, Caleb definitely encouraged the chapel, even though he knew full fucking well he wouldn't be able to stay there. Dean had remained at the back of the group, and Caleb had the front, and he tugged Nic up beside him as they hurried.

Who: Dean, Caleb and then OPEN TO ALL BOYS
Where: Boy's dorm
When: 3am
Dean hadn't slept well all night. He was in a dorm with a load of other guys, all breathing (and occasionally sniffling and snoring) at different rates. It wasn't really working for him, so he'd spent his time cat-napping and staring at the ceiling, telling himself that, no, he wasn't allowed to text Thia to see if she was awake - she probably wasn't. She was probably fast asleep right now.

When Medea heard struggle and screams, she immediately ran into the hall, and looked around wildly in the dark. Reaching out to flip the hall lights on, hearing the other girls close on her heels, she looked up the hall and saw some thing chasing someone out...the mangled body of Mrs. Potten.
And then? She screamed.

Who: Thom and OPEN TO ALL TEENS
Where: MSHS
When: Just before and all through final period
Thom had a free before last period, and nothing much to do in it, and so he found himself turning up early to the room designated for today's place of meeting for the group that was going to be heading out to Newberry tomorrow. Pulling a chair over to by the window, he settled down with his guitar, resting one foot on the seat in front of him, and started to strum out a tune absently whilst he was thinking about that. Really, who ever thought it was a good idea to take a load of teenagers to a closed insane asylum anyhow? Even if there was nothing going down with spirits, they were bound to end up with a handful of jokers who thought it was a good plan to play 'horror movie' or some shit. There were so many ways it could go wrong. But, apparently, there was no getting out of it - the whole 'compulsory attendance' thing, and so he'd go tomorrow. He just didn't see why they needed another group hug session, or whatever this was meant to be, today.

who: kaysen and open to the teenage crowd!
where: the empty auditorium
when: third hour (designated as a meeting place for people in the group to get to know one another)
Kaysen was the first to arrive, and she sort of hung back and sat down on the side of the stage, dropping her bookbag down on the floor below. She kept reading over the stupid slip that she'd been handed this morning...or not just her, she guessed, like, everyone. She didn't know what the hell this bullshit was, but apparently? There was going to be a fucking sleepover. Yeah she was going to be wearing her hoodie the entire fucking time. And her bracelet. And possibly anything else she could talk Thom into making for her before they had to leave, because hi, yeah, that sounded like the worst idea evereverever. The list of names and shit were on the list but she'd paid little attention, figuring her luck was shitty so whatever. With her special brand of luck, it'd be a bunch of fucked up assholes who couldn't see her because they wanted to talk shit about her and her hoodie protected her.
That would just be awesome, wouldn't it. Lovely. Maybe Ghostal would be there. Or Poter or something. Maybe Thom could get switched. ...not that she would ask that. Or ask any of them anything of the kind. Still, she hoped she wasn't going to be totally alone with people she hated and who hated her right back. That would be nothing but bad, and just because Homecoming hadn't wound up with a Carrie-ending didn't mean this little bout of stupid wouldn't. Blood, horror and burning the place to the ground. Yeah, she could see it. Her thoughts broke off as she heard the door open and she looked up to see who'd arrived.

Who: Hunt, Pandect, Reiz.
Where: Outside.
When: Night time.
Even though it still wasn't a very good idea to stay outside, Reiz did anyway. After what had happened that afternoon--he didn't feel very comfortable around people. Even though he'd managed to push back the urges and instincts for those few moments, he'd still had a lust for blood that he needed to work out.
He'd stayed outside all day, hiding behind tree trunks, and when night finally came, he... He shifted back to his original form.

The basement, while still smelling kind of strongly of laundry detergent and fabric softener, was occupied by the living for the night. Being the ghost hadn't gone away, the decision had been made to spend the night in the basement to attempt to figure out either how to redirect the spirit, contact it with success, or at the very least clean up the damages before they got too bad. No one had pinpointed a time per se that things occurred yet, and so people were attempting to sleep before the annoyances began.

In the end, Doc had opted against Chinese for dinner, though he hadn't strayed far. The place was decorated as intricately as it had been for the Masquerade. Lights mostly lit the dance floor, projected images on the floor and across the ceiling, though the edges of the place was left in heavy shadows. Enough that those who wanted to dance and listen to the band they could...but strangely the noise dropped off some once you walked off the floor and hit up the shadows. It was almost like someone turned the volume down on reality there...

When: Starting at 6
Where: Charlotte's house
The sun hadn't set yet when the party started, which was a good reason for why the party was still on in the first place. Even if it was a kind of silly, geeky party, and a lot smaller than most, Charlotte was proud of her first-ever party. They had horror movies, pumpkin carving, and tables full of Halloween themed baked goods. And of course, costumes! Thankfully the animals were on their best behavior, but some of the cats kept darting between furniture to scope things out. None of them were used to a lot of people being in the house. This was definitely a first.

Hell Comes To Babylon
Submitted by mistress_eris on Thu, 03/26/2009 - 07:01.who: anyone attending
where: babylon
when: all night
Babylon was decked out in an inferno theme. All of the walls had flamelike lights projected onto them, giving the feeling that the entire building was lit up from the walls inwards. Everything was done in black and red, including the drinks that evening. Torches were lit along the walls as well, and mini-ones were on the tables in both the club and the bar.
For those brave enough, flaming drinks are actually free--try at your own risk!
Slumber Parties Keep Everyone Safe
Submitted by Anonymous on Tue, 03/03/2009 - 14:31.Who: Lily, Breezy, Alexis, Kyle
When: Evening/night
Where: Lily's house
Lily returned from the hospital depressed. True to her word, she'd tried to tell the attack victims that they were potentially in danger. She'd done as Doc had suggested and kept it vague but urgent. All it had done was gotten her kicked out of several hospital rooms before being escorted out entirely by two security guards. By that time, it was edging towards dusk and she knew she needed to get home.
She made it back safely, confirming with her mother that her friends would be coming over that night. After that, all she needed to do was straighten up her room a little bit - she kept it fairly clean on a regular basis, and she didn't want to give her mom any reason to come in and bitch later that night. She worked quickly, then took her DS Lite and parked herself on the couch. A couple rounds of Ninja Town while she waited for the girls and Kyle to come over might help her stop thinking so hard about the people she'd talked to who would probably die later that night.

Breezy had talked so much shit that day it was amazing it hadn't rotted her teeth. No way pussy boy would show up. No way. But she still hoped that he would - she had her heart set on pounding on him, dammit!
Several people had gathered outside to witness the potential fight, which was excellent. Breezy circled the flagpole and sighed dramatically. "I can't believe he's scared of little ole' me."
Burn the Night Away

Where: Wetmore's Landing
When: Night
The bonfire was built, and once people started to arrive, the boys set it ablaze. With the fire there to keep them warm, everyone gathered around, talking in small groups mostly, twos and threes. Some roasted marshmallows and made smores, others drank hot chocolate, diving into whatever they brought with them. It was much more casual than a house party, thought Alexis, but in some ways more comfortable. She didn't know everyone there, but it wasn't so big a group that it wasn't possible. She'd just have to see how things went over the course of the night.
The Masquerade: In The Club
Submitted by mistress_eris on Fri, 12/12/2008 - 14:34.
who: everyone!
where: Babylon
when: early evening through the wee hours tomorrow
The club was a wide open space, so there could be dancing going on. A dj was hired to play for the event, and the place was darkened down so the booths surrounding the dance floor were in shadows. Lining all of the walls were old world canvas and burlap paintings, advertising old carnival freak show exhibits. Some of them were in fairly good repair, others not, either way they looked authentic. Everything from the bearded lady to the crocodile man stared out from once brightly painted eyes.
The Masquerade: In The Bar
Submitted by mistress_eris on Fri, 12/12/2008 - 14:26.who: everyone!
where: Babylon
when: early evening through the wee hours tomorrow
The bar was decorated all in deep reds and blacks, a striped pattern adorning the walls and it was set up like a slightly scary, old world circuls tent inside. The jukebox was playing, and each table held an old-world style bottle of something, the cost of everything together being a little mind bending. At the bar, even absinthe is being served. Ambient noise can be heard in the shadows, the roars of lions, the cracks of whips. The call of old circus barkers, telling people to step right up.

The gym was barely recognisable – the decorations committee had done themselves proud this year, the gym all decked out with streamers and balloons in school colours. Failure of the System

Who: Billy, Maddie, Oz, Sophie, Lullaby and Dean
Where: Osbourne Household
When: Dawn
Dean shifted, still sitting at the top of the stairs, his back up against the wall, one foot resting against the banister at the other side of the stairwell, the other on the next step down. His gun was tucked away in its holster under his left arm, the shotgun by his side next to the sleeping Thia who was curled up on blankets. It seemed that people had adopted that over night - watch being carried out in twos, with one person dozing and the other people awake. The attacks had come regularly, but fairly far apart - obviously the shadows were having to come from further away now, which meant there was at least a couple of hours break. Nobody was too tired at least, that was something.
Dean had the last watch of the night and he'd spent most of it sharing information with Caleb. He wondered if Maddie knew any blood magic - and wondered how much he'd get a Look from her if the answer was 'no'. He had to admit, he was bored now. Yesterday he'd been mostly running on adrenaline, but once they'd been sorted, well, this was hardly hard. He'd worked his head out about what he was doing, he hadn't actually broken down over anything, he'd coped pretty well, or so he thought - arguments with Thia aside. But overnight, it had become routine. They'd come, they'd be killed, they'd go away, people would go back to sleep. They'd come, they'd be killed... On and on, every couple of hours. Routine.
It was fact, his life was screwed up.
This World is Totally Fugazi - Part Two
Submitted by pirate_satellite on Wed, 09/03/2008 - 14:41.Who: Derek, Helen, Manhattan and Geo
When: Evening (after Picking Up The Package.)
Where:: Driving through Marquette/Derek's house
Geo's feet rested on the extra-large bag of dog food tossed on the floor of Reese's truck, leaving wet footprints on the bag. The rain was still going strong, and he was drenched yet again - but that was ok, really, he had a puppy to keep him warm, and the puppy had a few other things: bowls, a bed, chew toys...
As attractive as the idea to, say, feed him Helen's shoes was, he didn't think that was a good idea. It'd give things away far too early.
The puppy - tentatively christened Fugazi - seemed quite content to sit on his lap, ears perked up as he pressed his nose to the window, leaving foggy-breath-marks on the glass. Geo grinned, ruffling the fur on the back of his neck as he looked back to Reese. "Am I gonna want to leave him in here? Would that be ok, or should he come in...?"
"There's a dog carrier behind the seats you can put him in when we get there." She told Geo. It was, after-all, how she transported the animal from the kennels to Geo's home. "He'll be fine by himself for a few minutes." Manhattan added as she slow turned around a corner onto another rain slicked street. Not that she was expecting the meeting to only last a few short minutes, but then there was no real need to pass that on to the teen. It could only lead to making the situation a difficult one.
Back to Normality... Maybe.
Submitted by brokenisbetter on Fri, 08/29/2008 - 13:10.Who: Peyton and open to all teens
When: Evening
Where: Marsh house
By the time Peyton's father left for work in the late afternoon, nearly everything was ready and set for the party that night. James Marsh was aware of the party, though Peyton had a feeling he didn't really know what kind of party it was. She and Tyler had claimed they were going to have some friends over and that Promise Theory was going to play, which their father had agreed too, though she could tell he was a bit wary, especially of Tyler, before he left. Which, Peyton supposed, he had reason to be, given everything that needed to be moved, the amount of people actually walking through the doors and the beer being snuck in. Peyton had a feeling she'd be on trash duty to get rid of the evidence by the time the party was over and her dad's shift would be ending.
She managed to look somewhat presentable before she headed downstairs into the foray, the rooms already crowded with classmates. It felt normal - a party with music and friends. One of the last parties they would have, no doubt, before the weather turned and it would be too cold to spill out into the backyard when the rooms grew to be too suffocating. Peyton hung back a bit out of the way of people eager to laugh, drink and forget the stuff happening around town over the past few weeks, keeping her eyes open for people she knew and had invited.
