Snowed in

When: Morning
Where: Jules's house
Jules had called Aiden early, waking him up and asking for a favor. A favor of the errand variety in fact, and less than an hour later, he found himself driving to Jules's house with a small white bag full of cold and flu medicine. He yawned against his fist, thinking it was way too early to be up, since it was before noon. And it was snowing too, quite a lot by the time he pulled up to her house. He supposed he could have told Jules he couldn't go get her medicine, but he didn't and he wasn't a dick enough to tell her to get her own. Grabbing the bag once he parked, Aiden left his car, hurrying through the thickening flurries to Jules's door. Knocking, he glanced behind him. The snow didn't look like it was going to stop anytime soon either.
Jules could have woken Olivia up, but she knew the girl barely got any sleep as it was, so she'd called Aiden instead. Asked him for a favor and a while later she heard the knock at the door. She felt like crap and she probably looked like crap too, but she brushed her hair, pulled it up into a pony tail and wrapped her bathrobe around her body, tying it and grabbing a box of tissues as she headed to the door. She pulled it open and tried to say hello but didn't get through the first syllable before she had to stop and yank a tissue from the box and press it to her face, sneezing against the cloth. She motioned for him to come in out of the cold.
Advice and Alcohol

As of Tuesday it would have been two weeks since Judiel disappeared. Two weeks since Olivia last saw him, or heard him or anything. She was thinking as of Tuesday, she would have to call his mom and explain things. Since she was having no luck finding a gate to the Dreaming, and no one seemed to be able to help her. She felt useless, and hopeless, and knew if she couldn't even help her boyfriend, she wasn't going to be able to protect anyone. She was becoming extremely close to just sinking into a depressive state, so she was grateful when Jules suggested going out for a drink. A drink was definitely something Olivia could handle, since alcohol always made everything better, right? Right.

As he knew he would, Aiden woke up just as dawn was starting it's slow creep over the horizon. It took him a few seconds to remember where he was, though the warm body tangled around his pretty much tipped it off immediately. He had stayed the night with Jules. And now it was time to go. He rubbed his hand over his tired eyes and then careful began to untangle his limbs from hers. His arm was underneath her and he moved carefully, not wanting to wake her up for a variety of reasons. If he could get dressed and get out to his car without her knowing, that'd probably be best for them both.

After Olivia had left the house for Babylon, Jules took a shower and primped herself up. She didn't care if that would annoy Aiden or not, damn it she wanted to look nice. By the time she was finished, she did look nice. Hot, by Aiden's standards most likely. A tight little black skirt and a shirt that was just as tight and extremely low cut, snow white and definitely a contrast against her tan skin. She'd curled her hair and left it loose, hanging over her shoulders in curly little tendrils. She didn't put on any make-up, having liked the fact that he complimented her more when she wasn't wearing any.

Olivia had spent a lot of her week at Judiel's apartment. She cleaned everything, waited... cleaned some more and waited. She read most of the book Dorian had given her on Muses and found there was a lot about Judiel's people that she didn't know. Some of it she wasn't sure she liked. His phone rang a few times, but she hadn't wanted to answer and risk hearing his mother on the other end. Olivia didn't want to explain what had happened until she was absolutely sure Judiel wasn't coming back. And she wasn't ready to accept that yet. More so, Olivia hadn't been able to figure out where any gates were for the Dreaming. Exhausted and having to go to work, Olivia left Judiel's apartment and returned to Jules's house to change for Babylon.
Once she got there, she used her key to get inside. She walked into the living room and set down her book on the table before pulling off her jacket. "Jules?"
An Offer of Assistance

When: Morning
Where: Nevermore
It was no secret that she wasn't looking forward to heading into Nevermore. She felt somewhat bad for venturing in to ask Dorian for a favor when they hadn't gotten on very well the first time they met, but Aiden and Eris had both suggested him. She wasn't about to just sit around not knowing anything about the air elemental things she would be dealing with. So she sucked it up and headed over to the shop to see Dorian. It was pretty empty when she entered the building and she looked around at the books that surrounded her, pushing her hair back behind her ear and heading towards the counter to look for Dorian. She wondered if he'd even be there this morning, if not, she'd just have to come back later, but she was hoping.
Dorian was there, even if it was Saturday morning. He'd been in a good mood all week, part of which he attributed to Halloween and the rest to how well Nevermore was doing. Those that didn't think the world was ending came for real answers. Even if he didn't have them, he did the best he could, all the while looking for something better to tell them. He moved towards the front when the bell rang on the door, surprised when he saw who it was. "Jules," he said, brows raising. "Hi, um, what can I help you with?" He figured she was there for something other than to see him; their last meeting hadn't exactly been the sort to send her running back.

After getting home from Babylon after only a drink or two, Jules was more than ready to call Aiden. She'd talk to Dorian. She'd find some books. But that had to wait til tomorrow. She wanted information now. Aiden knew things. Maybe she could figure out something from him. So she grabbed her cell from her purse and sat herself down on the couch, dialing his number and listening to the ringing.
Aiden had just gotten out of the shower and was in his room getting dressed when he heard his phone ring. He dug through the pockets of his discarded jeans until he found his phone and flipping it open, he saw Jules's number. He answered it, wondering what the reason behind the call was. "Hey," he greeted. "What's up?"

Drinking. Sounded like a good way to take the edge off of the ghostly happenings around town, at least to Jules. She'd ventured out into the cold and the floating dead seeking out a little alcoholic relief. She found said alcohol at Babylon. Of course nothing ever stayed lovely for long. What would have been a simple little trip to the bar had Jules scrunching up her nose in disgust.
Normally, she didn't mind smokers. Not in the least, but she happened to be sitting just a stool or two down from a man who chain smoked. Apparently said man had no clue what courtesy was because every time he let out that puff of smoke, it was directed right at Jules. She tried to ignore it, really not wanting a confrontation tonight. But it kept eating away at her nerves, making her nearly fidgety in her seat.
And then something strange happened.

Jules was completely and utterly petrified by the time Blaine left her house. She'd seen far more that night than she thought she could handle and she honestly, just didn't want to be alone for any reason if she could help it. So she grabbed her phone and hid in her closet. Closets were safe from ghosts, right? Finding Aiden's name in her contacts, she called him, fingers shaking with the phone in her hand. "Please pick up... please pick up..."

After checking in on Shannon, Aiden drove to Jules, eager to see her and see for himself that she was alright. He had been by Eury's the night before and found a mess. She hadn't been there, but by the looks of her apartment, he hadn't expected her to be. It was disconcerting and left him with massive confusion over what to do. He didn't know the first thing about trying to look for her, so he had been putting in some calls to people he knew, but everything was coming up empty. He was worried, and a bit sick to his stomach, thinking that something bad had happened to her. He fully intended on tracking down that guy - Ash - and asking him some questions, but until then, all he could do was worry.
Getting out of his car, Aiden finished his cigarette before walking up to Jules's door and knocking loudly.

I hadn't heard from you and... just wanted to make sure. I uh, I didn't have to use any bullets. Kinda hid like a girl all night, but if that's what it takes, do it yeah? As promised, Aiden pulled up in front of Jules's house at noon, the box of bullets that she would probably need clutched in his hand. Rather, he hoped she didn't need them, but in this town, one never knew. He certainly didn't want her thinking because she had a gun that she needed to go out and start shooting at any animal that passed by. Somehow he doubted she would, but Aiden was never one to turn off any possibility. Especially with women. Turning off his car, he got out and tossed his cigarette before walking up to her front door and knocking tersely.

Where: The streets of Marquette

After four days of forcing himself to the book faire, Dorian found himself restless with nothing thrilling to occupy his time. Talking to Rose had given him reason to hope the bad would stay away from Marquette for awhile, though if he could assure she was safe, he would have enjoyed a bit of chaos for himself. He didn't expect to find it wandering around at night, but a walk in the cold was good for him, sunglasses in place despite the darkness. It was an attempt not to draw too much attention to himself, though he found that it still raised the question of why from those he ran into. After years of dealing with it, he figured he could manage.
Jules couldn't sleep. She'd tossed and turned for a while, unable to find a comfortable position before finally giving up and getting out of bed. There was no point lying there and thinking when she could get out and clear her head. So that's what she did. She pulled on a sweater and her black jacket, leaving her hair down and pulling a hat on. Black jeans and her boots and she was ready to get out of the house. She didn't care if it was cold, she didn't care if it was late. She headed off down her street, turning the corner and walking for quite some time. At first she didn't notice the man walking in her direction, not until he was barely a few yards in front of her. She'd been too busy listening to the sound of her own footsteps falling. Then she realized it wasn't just her footsteps and that made her nervous, eyes ticking upwards towards the sound as she stopped walking. Sunglasses at night? Odd. She wasn't sure whether she should keep walking or turn around and make a break for it. In this town you never knew what you might meet. She was too afraid to do either, so she just stood there in the middle of the sidewalk.

Jules would have called Aiden that morning, but she had no clue if he was a morning person, so she kept herself safe from early rants and raving by waiting until well after one to pick up her phone and dial the man's number. It was snowing. She'd been made very aware of that when she went out that morning to grab her paper. She wanted to get out, do something fun and take advantage of the fluffy white blanket that covered everything. She dialed his number and waited for him to pick up, half wondering if he'd ignore her name on the screen.

This whole friend thing was a terribly confusing mess and much harder than the girl had thought, so getting him off of her mind was the plan for the day. So when Olivia called her earlier that day to ask about getting some help moving her things Jules jumped at the chance. She pocketed her keys and headed to the door, knocking lightly and tugging her jacket tighter around her.

His head wasn't any clearer than it had been the night before, but he was determined to just be himself, not to let worries get in the way and have some fun. Jules was interesting and intelligent and there was nothing wrong with befriending another woman. It wasn't as if he was going to throw her on the table and have her for dinner instead anyway. Knocking on her door, he waited for her to answer, thinking he should have probably had a whiskey or two before arriving.

Jules had finished her work just in time to skip out a little early and make it to the post office just before they closed. Her father had sent her a late birthday present, having been unable to take the time to do so when she was in Beverly Hills the past weekend. Coming out of the post office, she nearly dropped large box. "I'm going to kill my dad for sending something so huge." she muttered to herself as she tried to readjust the box in her hands. She had no idea what was in the box, probably clothes of some sort. All she knew was it was awkward shaped and being so small made it difficult for her to get her arms around the thing.

She parked her car outside and headed up the walk and onto the porch to knock on the door, shifting her purse on her shoulder. She really wanted to gossip, and ask about Olivia and such. After all, Marlowe did work with the girl.
Roarke and Rogue beat Marlowe to the door greeting the person on the other side with soft barking and a bit of whining before Marlowe was able to swing the door open after making herself somewhat of a barrier between the two shepards and the door.
"Hey Jules." Marlowe said giving the girl room enough to slip inside, yet blocking the open doorway enough to keep the two dogs housebound.

When Zed woke up his first thought was that he was comfortable. He'd managed to curl himself half around the pillow that was supposed to go under his head, though his feet were tangled up with someone else's. As his brain settled into being awake and the mish-mash of dreams he'd had slipped away, remembrance of what had happened the night before flooded back to him. Nice. Very nice. He cracked an eye open to gain his bearings and closed it again. Dim light was filtering in a window. He needed to stretch, to go through the motions of his daily martial arts routine (which was only routine in the sense that he did it nearly every day). And he was thirsty.
The slight bit of light from the window awakened Jules more than the slight movements of the body tangled up with hers. There was a blanket half way wrapped around her still naked body and her feet were laced through the legs of the man beside her. It was warm and she really didn't want to move, but she really had to pee and laying there wasn't getting that done. Unsure if her bed-mate was actually awake, she opened her eyes she made the slow shift, pulling her legs through the jumbled mess of limbs as silently as she could manage.

Home. Jules was glad to be back in Marquette. Sure she'd missed the bustle of the city life back in Beverly, but she'd gotten so used to the slowed down life style that spending the weekend in the bustle of the Hills was a bit of a shock. She'd managed to get her dad straightened out and met a client, but she wasn't about to stay in California for the whole trial, so once things were in place, Jules hopped a plane back into town. She'd worked her entire birthday away and hadn't yet had a chance to have her first 'legal' drink since she'd turned twenty-one the previous day, so to the bar it was.

With hockey practice over, Gabe ran home and showered, then was out the door again as soon as he was dressed. He promised his mom he wouldn't be late and was pleased when she offered him the car, a far better alternative to walking all over town, especially with the cool nights. It wasn't all that difficult to remember the way to Jules' house, seeing as how she'd let him drive there on his last visit, but Gabe took it slow, trying to decide what to say. This seemed to be a good day for settings things straight, and if he could talk to Chrissy, this should be a piece of cake.
Parking the car out front, Gabe walked up the front walk, looking up and down the street. He wondered how many people had seen him the last time he was there, how it had looked. Any crazy assumptions they might have made might have actually been right, and Gabe sighed. What the hell had he been thinking? Knocking on the door, he stood back and waited for Jules to answer.

She had to leave town. At least for a few days. Her dad was having a tough time on a case and had enlisted his daughters help schmoozing with the clients. Not wanting to leave her house unattended, Jules decided to head over to Sasha's and see if she could weasel him into staying at her place for the next few nights. Grabbing her cell from her purse as she made her way up the stairs to Sasha's apartment, she dialed his number and listened to it ring as she stood there in front of his door.
Showers were very good things, Sasha had long ago decided. He'd been so pleased that water was included in the cost of the rent, because it meant he could stand under that hot water for ages, just washing the ache of a day on the job away. He was in the process of doing just that when the phone started buzzing on the bathroom counter. Grimacing, he fumbled around for it, flicking the speakerphone button so he didn't have to press it up against his wet head. "Yeah, Sasha here."

She'd taken Marlowe out for dinner the night before, but was looking for something more homemade tonight, even if that meant having to eat alone. She'd made enough for Sasha just in case he showed, but the guy hadn't been by in a couple days, not since before the dance. She was a little curious how that had gone. Apparently well if he hadn't returned to her house.
And speak of the wolf, there he did appear. Sasha unlocked the front door and slipped in, calling out curiously. "Jules, you here? It's your friendly neighborhood mechanic. I do house calls now!" Billy carried his box of tools, Dean just stood there waiting to take the older guy's lead.
Jules had made quick work of tidying up her room. She didn't want company - even hired company - seeing her bedroom looking like a hurricane went through it. After that was finished she jumped in the shower for a quick rinsing and changed into a pair of tight fitting jeans and a long sleeve scoop-necked shirt. Almost immediately after putting a pair of flip-flops on, she heard the knock at the door and headed down the stairs. Pulling the door open she smiled at Billy's familiar face and raised an eyebrow at the younger man. Damn... where did he come from? she thought to herself as she stepped out of the way.
