Attacks had been coming off and on all day, but none enough to get people hurt. It had almost been like the demons were testing the defences of those holed up in the chapel. When a real attack came, it came suddenly, as another window exploded inwards, showering the room with glass as a black shape hurtled through with apparently no thought to the holy ground it would be landing on.

Oz had gotten the mail, and was going through it in the kitchen, leaned back against the counter. He was still feeling off, really. Still not quite on par with...well. Anything. But as he was reading over the letter from the school board for the second time, he felt worse. "This cannot be legal." he muttered to himself.

Thia was in her room, picking out where she wanted the flowers Maddie had made for her were going to go. She had to hang them upside down to dry them and all, but she had to admit, she'd been really touched by the gesture. It had been sweet, especially coming from a woman like Maddie, who spent most of her time being kind of pissy, in one form or another. So, the fact that she'd made her flowers too, along with Sophie's, that just made her all kinds of smiley.

The basement, while still smelling kind of strongly of laundry detergent and fabric softener, was occupied by the living for the night. Being the ghost hadn't gone away, the decision had been made to spend the night in the basement to attempt to figure out either how to redirect the spirit, contact it with success, or at the very least clean up the damages before they got too bad. No one had pinpointed a time per se that things occurred yet, and so people were attempting to sleep before the annoyances began.

When Dean hadn't come to bed earlier, Thia hadn't thought anything of it. She figured he was downstairs, maybe talking to Oz, or doing...whatever. So it wasn't cause for concern. She'd tried to lie down for a bit, but she never really slept well without Dean, and definitely not this early. So, she'd tossed and turned for a while, and then given up, getting up again. She'd tried to distract herself by doing some homework--Dean's homework, in reality, but her eyes kept straying towards the clock.

He'd been putting this off. With good reason, he thought, but he'd still been putting it off and that probably wasn't good of him. He just didn't know where to begin. And if she wanted to talk to him, she would've tried, right? But that line of thinking had led to both of them not talking for a while before, so he couldn't really rely on it. Then there was the fact that Joshua didn't know what he wanted from her. She'd moved completely on. Possibly more than he had. He didn't even know if she wanted to be his friend, after all the bullshit with Gabe. What was he looking for? Closure? It was right in front of his face, in the form of Dean saying she was happy with him now. Apologies? No. Her friendship maybe. Some reassurance. He didn't even know, and part of him thought he shouldn't try to find out.
But at a point between his classes, when he had some time, he decided to do it anyway. He just couldn't wait for her to make the first move, because it might not ever come. He just wanted to know.

Who: Dean and Thia
Where: Their house
When: First thing
When Dean woke that morning, he felt surrounded. Not in a bad way, it was just something he hadn't quite expected. It was the pressure on his feet, in addition to the Thia draped over one side of him that was the new part - she was so small that generally his feet stayed free, and it took him a minute to realise that the pressure was BB, curled up asleep on the end of the bed.
At least, the kitten had been asleep until Dean moved, but the slightest movement from the teen and the little ball o fluff went from fast asleep to awake and pouncing in less than a moment. 'Hunt the feet' was always a fun game and BB seemed to have a lasting love of it. Dean just wasn't used to being woken up like this in the morning. Usually if BB slept with anyone, it was with Thia. Only last night, Thia slept with him - and was currently pinning down his left side, in actual fact. He didn't particularly want to disturb her, but even through the blankets, the kitten's little claws were sharp. He tried shucking him off with a flip of his foot, which only severed to give the kitten proof that Dean was joining in the game, which was just encouragement!

Who: Dean and Lullaby
Where: Their house
When: Late
Dean had stayed at the house for several hours after Caleb had left, his migraine full and raging, leaving him curled up in a small ball on the bed in the attic, trying to press the world out with a pillow over his head. He'd been tempted to stay there all night, but he knew he couldn't - people would come looking for him if he did that, and if he had to deal with people, he'd prefer it was on his own terms. So, after a while, he'd made himself get up and go downstairs, rooting through one of the first aid kits that Sophie routinely had everywhere you could possibly want one and swallowing some painkillers. he'd waited a bit longer until they kicked in enough to just take the edge off, then started for home, driving slowly on the icy roads.
He got home without any incident more than some irate drivers honking him to tell him he was driving too slowly - which really didn't help his migraine by any stretch of the imagination - and he pulled up in front of the house, letting himself in the front door and shucking off his boots, before he headed straight upstairs. Oz had hearing, he'd have heard the car, and the door. He didn't need an 'I'm home' to know he was.

Being home alone wasn't supposed to be quite this terrifying. Alexis' father had been home for dinner and while he was in the house there was nothing to be afraid of. The ghost that she'd seen last night was nowhere to be found. Assuring her that everything would be okay, he stepped out for the evening, and that was when the ghost appeared again, as if he was haunting her. Alexis didn't know why, couldn't fathom what she'd done to earn the ghost's attention, but she wanted him gone. Tonight it was worse. Tonight he was inside the house, stalking her, which left Alexis trying to hide from a being that walked through walls. Could they float, though? Like in movies? With the hope that they couldn't, she climbed up into the attic and drew the ladder, shutting herself in.
After last night's exchange with Kyle, she decided he probably wasn't a good option to try and calm her down. Alexis scrolled through her phone, looking for someone she could just talk to. When Thia's name popped up, she paused, trying to remember the last time they'd talked. It had been a while. Maybe catching up would be a nice distraction from the ghost below. With that in mind, she dialed the number and waited for Thia to pick up.

Who: Dean and Thia
Where: his parent's house, England
When: Morning
Dean had hardly slept all night. He never slept well here, but even taking that into account, he'd hardly slept all night. Not that Thia had really been sleeping any better - she'd been tossing and turning all night and he'd finally woken her just after dawn to tell her that he was going, that he'd be back.
He'd walked for a long while, trying to get his head straight about things. About everything that had happened last night - so much had happened last night. About Andy, about his entire life to this point, about people, about everything. And about the fact that he'd sat with his back against an oak tree just down from the railway bridge and watched a ghost under the bridge. Not that the ghost was doing anything, she was just.... there, dressed in clothing that looked half a century old, a school bag over her shoulder - she couldn't have been much older than him when she'd died.

Who: Caleb and Dean. Then Oz and Dean. Then Caleb and Dean again. Then Dean and Luallby...
Where: phoneland, then the park, England
When: evening(in England)
Caleb was a little more aware of the time this time when he phoned Dean, sitting in his room staring out the window. He was propped on the sill of it, since it was right there above his bed in the first place, and he was just staring more or less sightlessly out, where things looked really normal. Or, the back yard did, anyways. His mind was on a lot of things, Nic being pretty damn prominent. But, he also just kind of missed Dean being around, and wanted to talk to the guy. Tell him about the magical adventures of running from werewolves he'd missed.
Dean pulled his phone from his pocket as it rang and checked the caller ID, before excusing himself from the room and heading into a quieter part of the house. That was the good thing about Andy's house - it was huge, there was always a quieter part. Somewhere where he could talk to Caleb about whatever he was calling for and not have to worry about being overheard. "Hey mate, what's up?" he asked, sitting down on the stairs, resting his elbows on his knees as he held the phone to his ear.

Dean missed driving. Coming away would have been so much easier if they'd been able to just get in the car and go, but no, he was too young to drive here. So once he'd convinced his parents that (a) they could go away and (b) they had enough cash to pay for staying away, they'd had to take a train to the place he'd picked out. He'd wanted to take her somewhere nice, somewhere interesting. Somewhere with castles and dead sheep, but where they'd ended up was less castle-y and more small-quaint-village-y. And a taxi ride from the train station, once Dean had decided that it was too far to walk.
They arrived at their destination that morning - the village of Eyam in Derbyshire, and settled into their room in the large stone-built cottage they were staying in before he suggested they went for a walk, aware that at some point they were going to have to start The Talk he'd promised they could have. but at least it was quieter here - the village was isolated and, at this time of year, there were hardly any tourists around. Today was a dry day, and once you were out of the village itself there was nothing for miles around but fields and hills. And sheep, so Thia could be happy about that.

Dean looked out of the kitchen window, craning his head up towards the sky a little and smiled. He pulled back and went in search of Thia. "So - the rain looks like it's tailing off - hopefully it'll stop in a while," he told her, looking relieved. It had been raining heavily all morning, since before dawn, and that had effectively ruined their plans for the day. But maybe, if it stopped this afternoon, they could rescue the rest of the day and go do something. In the meantime, they at least had the house to themselves - his parents were at work, Scott at school.
She looked over from where she'd been messing with the choker she'd been tying round her neck, and she smiled a bit. "You mean it may actually be habitable outside? How novel!" she said, giving a brighter, playful type smile at the end of her statement. She had been up for a while, though it had taken her a little bit to get out of bed. She was feeling a little tired, though less in the manner of lack of sleep, and more in the way of energy. Dean sustained her, but didn't really give her more than she needed, and there was a bit of a distinct lack of negative energy around. If they happened to go out, however, she could always stumble upon someplace that had it. That would be good. She didn't mention it to him, however. Wouldn't, unless she started getting really bad, and she wasn't near that yet.
Walking In Dreams

Who: Billy and Oz with first Lullaby, then with Dean
Where: Dreams, various
When: Just after midnight
It was night, and things were confusing. There was a carnival set in the streets of Dean's town, the edges of the small, imperfectly remembered buildings barely visible beyond the colorful, garishly overly bright lights. Not quite in the center, but close, there was an impossibly huge carousel, looking like something either out of a nightmare, or a Tim Burton movie. Where the horses should have been, there were creatures. Wrong somehow, each and every one of them, and when you weren't looking directly at them, they moved. Like everything in the carnival, the paint was just as overly saturated as the lights--but it was chipped. Cracked. Imperfect.
There was no sky above, and beyond those faint edges of the buildings, there was nothing beyond. A carnival that hung crooked in the nothing, on a faint angle, tilted, not quite flat, unattended. Or, mostly unattended. Lullaby was there. She was looking around, holding onto a stuffed panda that was like everything else there--not quite right. Mostly it was fine. Mostly, it was just cute, fluffy. Properly proportioned for a teddybear. The problem was it seemed to have human eyes. Wide, lidless human eyes that stared out watching her as she looked around everywhere else, oblivious to the bear's scrutiny. The war memorial was there, strung with lights, and the clocks on it all read different times. None of them were right, and one face the hands continually moved, high speed, clocking hours in minutes. It also had a thirteenth hour as opposed to the normal twelve.
Faking Alonetime

Who: Dean and Thia
Where: Manchester, England
When: Morning
After an incredibly full and exhausting day of touristy type things with Dean's family, Lullaby had been just tired enough to crawl into bed and completely crash out. She'd been tired anyways, after spending as much energy as she had trying to make sure Dean slept in. It had worked, but it left her drained for most of the day. Though holding Dean's hand for a lot of it helped, all he did was sustain her, he didn't put out enough energy to really recharge her back up a ton. Or, at least, not without prolonged exposure, which she was thinking sleeping had done. She was slightly better when he'd woken her up, when they decided that they were going to sneak out of the house before anyone else was awake, just so they could have a little bit of time together as opposed to being carted off for more group activities. So, they'd gone out. It was an overcast, rainy day, which was best for her, not having to deal with sunlight was a good idea. It was a little cool though, so she'd decided to wear his blue hoodie again. She was holding the umbrella for the two of them, as they walked down a path, going...wherever it was Dean was taking them.
Dean led them out from the footpath onto the road running through another housing estate, heading them towards what his mum had always referred to as 'pretend countryside'. There wasn't a whole lot of actual countryside around here, but there were areas of green where if you ignored the constant hum of the motorway, you could at least hope to suggest that you were alone. He'd just wanted to get them out of the house for a while. He was used to spending more time alone with her than they'd managed yesterday, and after everything the day before, he wanted some her-time.
Lullaby was of a similar mind, but then again, she generally was. She liked everyone else in the world just fine, but she started to get twitchy if she didn't get proper time alone with him. So this was nice, they didn't even have to be back at a set time, so she felt freer than before, when they'd had obligations to tend to after arriving. Or...after she woke up, anyways. She had things on her mind, but wasn't sure when she was going to actually start talking about them with him. Mostly because she wasn't sure she wanted to, even if she knew she should. And she would! But...yeah. That didn't mean she was chomping at the bit to get to it. "So where are we headed?" she asked.

Who: Dean, his parents and a tiny appearance by Lullaby
Where: England
When: Morning
The flight had been long, and Dean had got exactly no sleep - the general, albeit quiet, hubbub of humanity around him had been enough to keep him awake. Allowing for time differences, he landed back in Britain at largely the same point of the clock as Sophie had woken him up the day before. Losing five hours, he decided, was a mind-fuck as he zombied his way through passport control and customs and was near enough mugged by his father, who was the appointed parent to come collect his son from arrivals at sparrows fart of a dark morning.
He'd excused himself to his room as soon as he'd got home. Scott was still about and he wanted to talk to his parents without his brother listening in, so 'unpacking' had seemed a good way to go until the brat went off to school. That had, at least, been the plan until he'd hefted his case up to his room.
