Who: Nic
Where: Outside the Lockwood residence
When: late afternoon
What had been a good, school-free day had crashed when Nic had met and nearly assaulted Joshua, never even learning the guy's name before she'd chosen prudently and driven away in Caleb's car. Luckily for her, the encounter had been early enough that eventually Nic had been able to sort through the proverbial wreckage and piece some semblance of a better mood together.

Not the Smartest Idea
Submitted by brokenisbetter on Thu, 07/02/2009 - 14:58.Who: Peyton and Open
When: After school
Where: The lakeshore
Having not wanted to go home after school, Peyton wandered off in the opposite direction, thinking she might end up in the library for a few hours. She could get her homework done, and at least there would be people around rather than dealing with an empty house. Her dad was working more hours than she could remember him working in the past, and Tyler was constantly out with his friends since the ghost thing started. She supposed he was more fascinated by the whole thing, since he had no clue the supernatural existed prior to it. Peyton had known, and while the ghosts were sort of unnerving, she didn't feel the need to go 'ghost hunting' like some people did.
It was cold, and snowy, but she trudged through the icky parts of it, thankful for her hat, scarf and gloves. Her face was pink by the time she found herself at the lakeshore. Apparently the library was not to be her final destination. The wind had seemed to pick up and she walked down toward the lake, enjoying the sight of the high, wild waves forming in the water. Snow was blowing about her feet, and she made her way to one of the benches to sit for a bit. At least until her butt went numb or something. On the way, she tripped and fell forward, landing on her hands and knees as her bag slipped off her shoulder. It apparently hadn't been clasped, because several papers fell out and began to blow away from her. She cursed under her breath and forced herself to get up from the ground to try and snatch her homework, currently fluttering about the shoreline and snow, and heading for the water.

Who: Joshua and Nic
When: afternoon
Where: the sidewalks of Marquette
The lady who was his 'boss' in the student work program had let Joshua off early, looking rather exhausted and saying she'd give him credit for a full shift. She just seemed like she wanted to go home, which was fine by him. He'd thought for a minute about calling Sean to be picked up, but he was feeling kind of restless. Like he didn't want to really be home. Instead he bundled himself back up -- hat and scarf and gloves, even, like a good boy -- and headed out for a walk. It was kind of an aimless wander, but it felt pretty good to be outside, despite the gusting winds. At least the sidewalks were well-salted and everything.
Eventually his face was starting to go painfully numb instead of just numb, and he turned himself in the direction of the library. He hitched his backpack up on his shoulders a bit and idly thought about some homework he had to do. Maybe he could focus better not at home.

Lauren was having trouble. This was mostly because she was confused. Generally speaking, she didn't have periods of time where she wasn't quite sure what she'd been doing, or where she'd been, but the past night or so, it seemed to be the case. It was almost like she'd taken up sleeping again.

Who: Reiz and Pandect.
Where: Streets.
When: Night.
Despite the terrible winds at night, Reiz still liked it. It was quiet, the only noise was the air brushing past his ears. Maybe he'd stay out for a little while tonight, even if he was feeling kind of chilly. He brought his journal with him. He used to write a lot outside, Smith said it wasn't good to be cooped inside all day. There was a big world out there, and sleeping in a bed wouldn't let you see it. Even if Reiz liked to sleep too.

who: doc and maddie
where: maddie's shop
when: late afternoon
Maddie was in the shop proper, sitting behind the old desk she'd had brought in so she could sit and do some of the finer spellwork that she tended to do. At the moment she had a whole mess of beads, feathers, stones, and other odds and ends spread out over the top of it. The place smelled nice, both from the scented candles that burned and the incense that perfumed the air.

Submitted by echoinglullaby on Tue, 06/30/2009 - 05:08.who: dean and thia
where: their house
when: very very early morning before dawn
When Dean hadn't come to bed earlier, Thia hadn't thought anything of it. She figured he was downstairs, maybe talking to Oz, or doing...whatever. So it wasn't cause for concern. She'd tried to lie down for a bit, but she never really slept well without Dean, and definitely not this early. So, she'd tossed and turned for a while, and then given up, getting up again. She'd tried to distract herself by doing some homework--Dean's homework, in reality, but her eyes kept straying towards the clock.

Who: Isabelle and Medea
Where: Their room
When: after school
It had been far too long since they'd had a good talk, so Isabelle was waiting patiently in their room for her sister to get home from school. Maybe Medea had just been too busy with that new toy of hers or school or something, but they'd been missing each other lately and Isabelle wasn't comfortable with that.
So there she was, sitting on her bed with a magazine open, even if she wasn't reading it, listening for her sister's arrival.

WHO: Grayson and Zoe.
WHEN: Evening.
WHERE: The streets and then a local diner.
The little café was unassuming. Small, privately owned, decent coffee and killer scones. The woman behind the counter lived upstairs and given how often Zoe Boothe stepped over the threshold, they were on good terms. It was a good place to sit, read, or simply sit and watch the citizens of Marquette pass on the street outside.

Who: Tad and Jesse
Where: School hallway
When: Between classes
Tad wasn't sure how exactly to approach someone in the way he was having to approach Jesse, so he'd just opted for loitering in the general area he'd figured out Jesse's locker was in. Thankfully the swelling from his Friday afternoon beating had gone down completely and the remaining bruises were mostly the standard yellow and purpling under his eye and lip. It wasn't the worst he'd looked with bruises, but it probably wasn't his best either. At least he didn't look grotesque enough to scare the guy off right?
He was half pacing along the lockers, avoiding people who came to use their lockers, trying to keep his head down long enough to make it through this conversation before getting crammed into something and trying to keep an eye out for Jesse coming down the hall.

Who: Jamie, Pandect, and Amy
Where: Just A Bakery
When: Midmorning
Amy was sitting in the passenger side of Pandect's big orange truck trying to keep a stiff upper lip. Her fancy mouse was curled up, looking harassed in an empty nail box filled with some of the wood shavings Amy had saved. It was a mouse, surprisingly clean and neat looking (although the farm boy in Pandect wanted to throw it to a cat, he knew such an action would not be appreciated) the color of caramel. "At least your mouse is fine."

TIME UPDATE
Submitted by praelitismods on Fri, 06/26/2009 - 09:48.
Weather: The heavy snow fall continues to about mid morning, and then tapers off into lighter flurries. Wind kicks up in the late afternoon, and gets into wicked, howling gales, making huge waves on the lake, and blowing all the fresh snow around, but it doesn't actively start snowing again.
Events: Just when everyone appears to be getting used to there being ghosts around the place, things get a little weird. It appears that some houses in town have developed poltergeists. But, the strange thing is that it only seems to be for a couple of hours a night - between 2am and 4am. It's not every house in town, but none of the houses which suddenly have a part-time ghost has any history of haunting previously. And what is also odd is that now people have been getting used to being able to talk to at least some ghosts (and, in fact, some people may have seen some of these ghosts around town and even talked to them in the past), none of these poltergeists seem to be able to communicate during the episodes of haunting. It's basic poltergeist activity, nothing more than moving things around, or breaking some plates, but it is very odd. Tonight the only additional thing is the electricity goes wonky. Lights tend to flicker or blow out, electronics turn themselves on and off.
If you have any events or anything going on which you think warrants a mention in the time update, please let us know!
