whatever

So I was supposed to start school today, but I couldn't get out of bed. I wasn't being emo--just too stiff and, y'know, the blinding pain. My head's better, but it'll be a while before my legs are back to normal.

Who: Pandect and Kayos
Where: Hardware store
When: morning
Pandect was displeased. The new roof had held, which was excellent because he wasn't sure what he'd do if it hadn't. Something drastic probably. But he had spent half his morning pulling fuses and trying to sort through wires with a flashlight in his teeth. He had spent the other half trying to get the phone to stop ringing. He had discovered the front desk phone had a really annoying ringer when he was busy trying to stop electrical fires.

There's a Reason for the Warnings...

Who: Mathias and open
Where: Babylon
When: Night
The problem, Mathias mused as both men suddenly popped out of existence, was that people didn't actually stop to think that there might be a reason for all the 'do not fight in this establishment' warnings dotted around the place. They really should do, but they didn't. Well, those two hadn't - Mathias looked around the bar at the remaining patrons and figured that maybe now they'd just witnessed the two being teleported out of the place, they might actually take that to heart.
It had been a quiet night up until that point. Monday night, not much going on. Math had been sitting at one end of the bar sipping a particularly fine whiskey, taking a night off from talking to people, when it all started. Hell, Mathias didn't know who'd started it, only that suddenly there were two men both throwing punches at the same time. At least, Mathias figured it was the same time - usually the building only teleported the aggressor out, at least as far as he knew that was the way it worked. And both men had gone. And the bar was suddenly peaceful again.
Mathias looked around at the remaining patrons again and internally sighed - he figured that he should put on his game face and go play damage control. Explanation time it was. He smiled and headed toward the nearest person.

Who: Sophie and Oz, the Sophie and Thia
Where: their house
When: morning
Oz had gotten the mail, and was going through it in the kitchen, leaned back against the counter. He was still feeling off, really. Still not quite on par with...well. Anything. But as he was reading over the letter from the school board for the second time, he felt worse. "This cannot be legal." he muttered to himself.

who: kaysen and open to the teenage crowd!
where: the empty auditorium
when: third hour (designated as a meeting place for people in the group to get to know one another)
Kaysen was the first to arrive, and she sort of hung back and sat down on the side of the stage, dropping her bookbag down on the floor below. She kept reading over the stupid slip that she'd been handed this morning...or not just her, she guessed, like, everyone. She didn't know what the hell this bullshit was, but apparently? There was going to be a fucking sleepover. Yeah she was going to be wearing her hoodie the entire fucking time. And her bracelet. And possibly anything else she could talk Thom into making for her before they had to leave, because hi, yeah, that sounded like the worst idea evereverever. The list of names and shit were on the list but she'd paid little attention, figuring her luck was shitty so whatever. With her special brand of luck, it'd be a bunch of fucked up assholes who couldn't see her because they wanted to talk shit about her and her hoodie protected her.
That would just be awesome, wouldn't it. Lovely. Maybe Ghostal would be there. Or Poter or something. Maybe Thom could get switched. ...not that she would ask that. Or ask any of them anything of the kind. Still, she hoped she wasn't going to be totally alone with people she hated and who hated her right back. That would be nothing but bad, and just because Homecoming hadn't wound up with a Carrie-ending didn't mean this little bout of stupid wouldn't. Blood, horror and burning the place to the ground. Yeah, she could see it. Her thoughts broke off as she heard the door open and she looked up to see who'd arrived.
TIME UPDATE
Submitted by praelitismods on Wed, 09/09/2009 - 09:20.
Weather: The snow gets heavier during the night, but snowfall stops just before dawn, leaving a world of white.
Events: The roads are being cleared throughout the morning, but life doesn’t stop in Marquette and everything is open as normal – if a little later than usual in some places. It’s also possible that the weather is playing merry hell with the electrics at the Lamplighter Motel. It just seems that today is the day that everything is going wrong – lights don’t work, computer systems are going haywire, the heating is coming and going. It’s not a good day out there!
Students at MSHS each get a notification and letter in their first class of the morning. It has been announced that mandatory education is being instigated in regards to ghosts and spirits. Every student is obliged to attend a short live-in course at a given and known-haunted location and these courses will be commencing later this week. The high school has been broken up into several groups, which are not grade-specific, and each group will be going to a different location on Wednesday morning this week to stay over Wednesday and Thursday night and return on Friday afternoon. The location has yet to be announced, but students are informed of the other people in their group and asked to make contact with them ahead of time (conveniently, all player-characters have been assigned to the same group!). They are also told that parent and guardian permission is being independently sought by the school direct, though given that this is a mandatory course, it cannot be refused without the student being withdrawn from the school system entirely.
Anyone who has been receiving messages gets no further ones today; however Medea, Porter and Jerilyn each receive a mail package before school this morning with a brand new laptop inside, top of the range with the best possible software installed (Porter’s has a special focus on art software). Each laptop also has a wireless internet connection integrated with it. There is no indication who each package is from. Pandect also receives an anonymous gift – a selection of books about the area which are delivered from one of the major internet suppliers.
If you have any events or anything going on which you think warrants a mention in the time update, please let us know!
