Who: Sophie and Grayson
Where: The old house
When: Afternoon
There were definite perks to being a werewolf. Despite the bright light of the sun, its heat couldn't chase away the biting chill in the air, and as he padded out of the trees and towards the house, Grayson Saunders was most certainly grateful for the thick pelt that kept out the worst of the cold. The ground was cool and damp underfoot, the snow shifting around the pads of his paws. It meant leaving tracks that he wasn't comfortable leaving in his wake, but when he followed them back out again, he would do his best to erase them as he went, a task much easier accomplished in human form than wolf, annoyingly, unless he wanted to do his best impression of a Disney character and attempt to use his tail. His youngest brother, Darrien, had always claimed it was possible, but Grayson wouldn't be wasting his time in making the effort. Briefly, the thought distracted him from his task and he almost laughed before he pulled himself together and performed one last sweep of the area with his eyes. The girl was gone, at least for now, and while she was away, Grayson wanted to take a closer look, which meant coming out of the cover of the trees and exposing himself, but if the scents in the air were any indication, it was worth the risk. The musk of werewolf hung in the air around the house, becoming increasingly stronger as he grew closer, and when he sniffed along the path, he confirmed his suspicions; the girl seemed to carry the scent as well, the same one that hung around the majority of the property. So either she was a wolf herself, or she was close enough with other lycanthropes that she carried their scent wherever she went.
Clarity and Conclusions
Submitted by Anonymous on Sat, 04/18/2009 - 22:39.Who: Alexis and Lullaby
Where: Phones, the beach, then Alexis' house
When: Night
Being home alone wasn't supposed to be quite this terrifying. Alexis' father had been home for dinner and while he was in the house there was nothing to be afraid of. The ghost that she'd seen last night was nowhere to be found. Assuring her that everything would be okay, he stepped out for the evening, and that was when the ghost appeared again, as if he was haunting her. Alexis didn't know why, couldn't fathom what she'd done to earn the ghost's attention, but she wanted him gone. Tonight it was worse. Tonight he was inside the house, stalking her, which left Alexis trying to hide from a being that walked through walls. Could they float, though? Like in movies? With the hope that they couldn't, she climbed up into the attic and drew the ladder, shutting herself in.
After last night's exchange with Kyle, she decided he probably wasn't a good option to try and calm her down. Alexis scrolled through her phone, looking for someone she could just talk to. When Thia's name popped up, she paused, trying to remember the last time they'd talked. It had been a while. Maybe catching up would be a nice distraction from the ghost below. With that in mind, she dialed the number and waited for Thia to pick up.
Ashes to Ashes
Submitted by Anonymous on Sat, 04/18/2009 - 22:38.Who: Gabe
Where: The cemetery
When: Evening
It had been too sunny for a funeral. Gabe expected rain, or at least good cloud cover, but they hadn't even had that. This time of year, it would have been snow. Anything would have been better than the sun. It didn't fit his mood, though the biting cold was a reminder that even the most beautiful day could have it's harsh side. As the sun set, Gabe found himself lingering in the cemetery, staring down at Chrissy's grave. Reality was hard, even when it was staring him in the face.
Left cross. Right cross.

This was his city. Blanketed in darkness, like an inverted sky with its' pinpricks of city lights beckoning up towards the heavens, it was nowhere near as peaceful as the stars it mimicked. For every sleeper within the walls of the buildings, there was danger. Trouble. Death. But for those who sowed such things? There was a reaper to give them their bounty. I am the Conduit, he mused from his vantage point on a rooftop, watching the low arc of taillights pulling away from him, slow and lazy.

Submitted by good_vs_evil on Sat, 04/18/2009 - 19:01.Who: Kyle and Kavin
When: Post-Funeral
Where: Phonelines, streets.
The funeral had been a somber one, at least in Kyle's opinion. There were people there who genuinely cared - like Gabe - and people Kyle knew hadn't given a crap about Chrissy - the majority of the room. He hadn't hated Chrissy. He'd liked her, in fact. Felt bad for her most of the time. He'd even fantasized her on more than one occasion... had wanted to date her long before Gabe ever entered the picture. But all of that seemed so irrelevant now that she was gone. After the funeral, he said goodbye to Gabe and started off toward home. He pulled out his phone and texted Kavin, wondering if the guy had anymore "ghost" run-ins.
hey man. wanting 2 see some ghost shit. starting to feel left out since everyone else is talking about it.
Kavin was actually on route to Kyle's once he'd dropped Jeri off at her friends house after the funeral. He was tugging his tie loose around his neck when his phone notified him of the text. Instead of texting back, he put it on hands free and called Kyle. "Yo, where are you?" he questioned when the boy picked up. I'm heading towards your house and right now I see at least..." he paused and counted the ghosts around the car as he stopped at a stop sign. "Two ghosts, right now."
Seeing is Believing
Submitted by Anonymous on Sat, 04/18/2009 - 17:54.Who: Alexis and Kyle
Where: MSHS, Chemistry Class
When: Afternoon
When Alexis got to chemistry, she still hadn't decided what to say to Kyle, though she thought she might owe him an apology for being snippy. She didn't know how to handle the fact that he hadn't seen any ghosts at this point, seeing as she had one practically stalking her when she was at home. The ghost boy had followed her from room to room, peering in from the outside, till she finally decided to try and get some sleep. If the curtains were closed, then she couldn't see him, but that didn't help her sleep, constantly worrying he might wander inside. She was exhausted and spent most of the day thinking about where she could go to nap that wasn't at home.
Kyle walked into class soon after Alexis had and he hesitated in the doorway before finally walking to their table to sit down. He hadn't talked to her since their texting and was pretty sure she was still irritated with him. Which was fine, since he was a bit irritated with her too. He sat down and set his book bag on the table before opening it to dig around for his homework which he'd actually gotten finished. He was just stubborn enough to figure that if she wanted to talk to him, she would. If not, he could do the silent treatment just fine.
Beyond Expectations
Submitted by happygolucky on Sat, 04/18/2009 - 17:42.Who: Jessalyn and Madock
When: 4:00pmish
Where: Ice Skating/Joey's Cafe
For it being a first date, Jessalyn wasn't nervous. She had thought she would have been, but throughout the school day she had been walking around with confidence, and a smile on her face. Which granted, the second wasn't too unusual, but she wasn't feeling the anxious butterflies that she thought would be plaguing her. She felt good about her upcoming date, and even if it didn't work out romantically, she was positive she had made a friend. A cute one. After school, Jessalyn drove home and changed from her skirt into a pair of jeans. It was a rare thing for her to wear jeans, even in the winter. She liked flowing things, but she figured if she felt while ice skating, she didn't want to flash everyone, or get a cold bum in the process. Pulling on a light pink sweater, Jessalyn quickly curled parts of her hair and put on some pineapple lip gloss. She figured she looked okay enough. She didn't want to pile on the make up or overwhelm with perfume. That would drive her own nosy batty.
Thanks for walking me home.
Submitted by Pirouette on Sat, 04/18/2009 - 15:25.Who: Patrick and May
When: After school
Where: Streets of Marquette
Ghosts. Ghosts in Marquette. Ghosts in Marquette and she had no idea why they were there. May was confused needless to say. She couldn't comprehend why there would be ghosts in the town and she'd been terrified the previous day, but now? Now she was just completely and utterly at a loss for words. She didn't know what to think. They were everywhere and they looked just as scared and confused, if not more so, than she herself did. She'd texted her father during her last class and let him know she was going to walk home. She wanted to think. Wanted to get some air. Wanted to pretend like everything was normal even though there were dead things walking about all over. She pulled her jacket tighter around her as she left the school and headed the long way towards home. Maybe she wouldn't see a ghost on her way there. Maybe it was all a dream and she'd wake up soon and be in her bed and none of this would have ever happened. Maybe, but she doubted it.
Patrick had, well, he'd been surprised by the sudden arrival of ghosts. Not that he'd thought they were an impossibility, or anything, but he'd never seen them before. It was surprising to see them everywhere around him. Nonetheless, he felt a little better off than others, who hadn't believed in the existence of them in the slightest bit before now. Heading out from the school, he spotted someone who looked much less at peace with the situation than he felt. He wasn't really one for talking to people he didn't know, but he found himself walking up alongside the girl. "You alright?" Not that he could do anything to fix it if she weren't, but. It was polite.
All my friends are the same... Different.
Submitted by concerto on Sat, 04/18/2009 - 15:15.Who: Aiden and Jules
When: Late night, after Babylon
Where: Phonelines, Jules's House
After getting home from Babylon after only a drink or two, Jules was more than ready to call Aiden. She'd talk to Dorian. She'd find some books. But that had to wait til tomorrow. She wanted information now. Aiden knew things. Maybe she could figure out something from him. So she grabbed her cell from her purse and sat herself down on the couch, dialing his number and listening to the ringing.
Aiden had just gotten out of the shower and was in his room getting dressed when he heard his phone ring. He dug through the pockets of his discarded jeans until he found his phone and flipping it open, he saw Jules's number. He answered it, wondering what the reason behind the call was. "Hey," he greeted. "What's up?"

Submitted by Anonymous on Fri, 04/17/2009 - 03:46.Who: Ransom and Charlotte
When: After school
Where: Charlotte's house
As had been the plan, Charlotte had come home from school, and was waiting for Ransom to stop by. She wasn't totally grounded - her mom was taking pity on her for being a first offender, at least, though Charlotte somewhat suspected that her mom was having trouble holding onto her anger and knowing at the same time that she'd just been a kid that had wanted to see her dad again. Still, no car for a while, but she was allowed visitors, and Charlotte hadn't pushed much more after that. It wasn't like she had ever gone out all that much anyway.
After dropping his brothers and sisters off at home, Ransom grabbed a quick snack and a jar of pumpkin preserves, then headed over to Charlotte's. He didn't know if he'd be allowed to stay or not, but he was hoping he could spend some time with her. They'd had lunch together, but he'd mostly let her sleep, since she'd been up half the night driving. Parking the truck out front, Ransom headed up to the door and knocked. It was funny how he was getting used to the scents around her house, but kind of nice, as it allowed him to know if anything had changed or not. Right now, all seemed safe.
Question and Answer
Submitted by Anonymous on Fri, 04/17/2009 - 03:24.Who: Gabe and Oz
Where: Phoneland
When: Afternoon
Gabe had read the anonymous note over and over again all week. Eventually, he re-typed it and saved it on his computer, afraid he might ruin the only copy he had, though he was careful to keep it in a safe place. He just couldn't decide if he should try contacting the guy, since he did have an abundance of friends willing to help him-- more friends than he wanted, even. But not one of them was cursed like he was, and so he finally worked up the nerve to call the number on the flier. He was taking a risk, and he knew that, but he thought he could ask the right questions to make sure he had the right guy before giving too much of himself away first. As the phone rang, Gabe's foot tapped nervously, hoping he wouldn't get voice mail. He hadn't planned on leaving a message.

Where: MSHS, hallways
When: Afternoon
Gabe might not have been able to play at the moment, but he was still on the hockey team, and still very much a part of the mayhem that ensued within. He was annoyed that he hadn't gotten the Ghostbusters memo, even though he still would've worn all black due to the funerals that afternoon. Since he'd been out of the circuit on the planning, they made sure to get him a couple of slime-balloons after lunch, which he planned to launch at a couple of unsuspecting freshmen.
Something in the air.
Submitted by concerto on Thu, 04/16/2009 - 17:42.Who: Jules and open to Eris
When: Evening, just after dark
Where: Babylon
Drinking. Sounded like a good way to take the edge off of the ghostly happenings around town, at least to Jules. She'd ventured out into the cold and the floating dead seeking out a little alcoholic relief. She found said alcohol at Babylon. Of course nothing ever stayed lovely for long. What would have been a simple little trip to the bar had Jules scrunching up her nose in disgust.
Normally, she didn't mind smokers. Not in the least, but she happened to be sitting just a stool or two down from a man who chain smoked. Apparently said man had no clue what courtesy was because every time he let out that puff of smoke, it was directed right at Jules. She tried to ignore it, really not wanting a confrontation tonight. But it kept eating away at her nerves, making her nearly fidgety in her seat.
And then something strange happened.
Who Can Resist Sin and Corruption?
Submitted by lightmyfire on Wed, 04/15/2009 - 19:44.Who: Wednesday and Open
When: Early evening
Where: Just outside Babylon
So there was more to Marquette than just ghosts. There were bars named Babylon. That she couldn't remember seeing before on one of her recent jaunts around the town, but it was there now. Wednesday stood outside of it, playing with her lighter in one hand and staring at the doors. She was only seventeen, so she knew she couldn't go in, but she was still trying to wrap her mind around the fact that it hadn't been there the day before. Had it? Or had she been too preoccupied watching ghosts to notice much of anything else...
Guy Talk + Ghost Talk = WTF?
Submitted by Anonymous on Wed, 04/15/2009 - 06:00.Who: Gabe and Kyle
Where: MSHS, lockers then parking lot
When: Lunchtime
Having semi-resolved his issues with Kavin, Gabe's day only continued to get better. He knew that it would come crashing down later, but for now he'd pretend there wasn't a funeral coming up later that afternoon. For now, he'd get to brag about his first set of real wheels that didn't belong on a bicycle. Dumping his books and grabbing his lunch, he headed over to Kyle's locker, looking to catch up with his friend for the first time in a long while. He wasn't sure how it happened, but they'd not been connecting, probably due to the fact that Gabe's life had become a circus over the past week. Unfortunately, Kyle didn't have any idea how true this was, and Gabe didn't think he could tell him. Out of all his friends, Kyle was least likely to believe the weirdness that had infiltrated his life.
Kyle saw Gabe coming as he put his morning books away and grabbed his afternoon homework. He didn't have tutoring that day, which was awesome since he wanted to see Gabe's new set of wheels. He was still waiting on Kavin to call or text him about the supposed ghosts, but so far, nothing. Which wasn't surprising. "Hey man," Kyle greeted. "Long time no talk... or see... or whatever the fuck. You've been a busy mother fucker." Kyle shut his locker and slung his bag over his shoulder before grinning. "I heard something about you finally getting your own set of wheels."

Where: The streets of Marquette
A date. He had one. And there wasn't much time to get home from school, get showered and dressed without drawing too much suspicion to himself and get out of the house without one of his many brothers and sisters, or his parents for that matter, questioning his motives for the day. His parents, they were easy, he could tell them the truth, but his brothers and sisters would never stop teasing him about having a date, or a girlfriend or whatever else they could come up with.
So he'd chosen to walk home, giving at least the twins time to get home and get back out again before he even got there. At least he hoped so. Right now he was too busy thinking about what one wore on a ice skating date, wondered what she'd be wearing, wondered if she'd even like him after today and wondered how many times he'd bust his back end on the ice. His attention was definitely not on the sidewalk as he walked, or anyone else walking for that matter and he bumped into someone.
Another one, Madock? Watch where you're going.

Submitted by good_vs_evil on Tue, 04/14/2009 - 04:38.Who: Gabe and Kavin
Where: MSHS
When: Before school
Gabe was sure that the day he was supposed to be bouncing into school was yesterday, but today was the first day that he'd driven himself to school. Not having to walk, or ride the bus, or having his mom take him made all the difference in the world, and he headed towards his locker with a grin on his face. Grabbing his books, he moved on, pausing when he saw Kavin at his own locker. He was in a good mood today, despite having a funeral to attend later, and he'd cooled down enough that he thought he could manage a civil conversation in public. "Hey, Kav," Gabe said, continuing towards Kavin's locker. "You got a sec?"
Kavin blinked and dropped his book on the floor when he heard Gabe's voice. God fucking idiot. Dropping shit? he thought to himself as he bent down to pick up the fallen book. "I'm not supposed to talk to you." he said simply. "I'd rather not get myself in hot water if I can help it." He didn't want to give Charlotte any excuses to out him. The last thing he needed to be doing was talking to Gabe, he knew, but he'd not approached him, Gabe had come up out of his own free will.

Medea didn't generally eat in the cafeteria--that was more Isabelle's territory, and she was more than happy to leave her sister to taming that crowd. So, she took her food and often found new places to eat, to see if she could meet mroe fringe people in the school social structure. It was the first day she'd been able to leave her arm sling at home, so she was glad for the freedom that gave her, even if she was still bruised a bit. She just didn't heal well enough to be fully better yet.
So, finding a little area by the gym to settle herself on the floor, lunch tugged out of it's bag, she opened up her abnormal psych book, and started skimming over things she'd already read. She knew that there was a funeral today for the old queen bee...that was making the environment in school interesting. Now all she had to do was hope someone came by who didn't want to be alone.

Where: Phoneland
When: Late night
Ransom wanted to wait up till he knew that Charlotte had gotten home, but ended up failing miserably. With the kids running around, worrying about ghosts outside and having their closets checked, unable to sleep and having to be told bed time stories, Ransom had crashed as soon as he'd hit the bed. His phone was in his hand, though, still waiting while he slept. He just wanted to make sure Charlotte got home safe.
Charlotte waited until after she heard her mom go to bed to call Ransom - which ended up being around 4 AM. She felt uneasy and anxious about calling him at such a time, but... well, he had told her to. And if it were the other way around, she'd be upset if he didn't call her. So, wincing slightly, she grabbed her phone and dialed his number.

TIME UPDATE
Submitted by praelitismods on Sun, 04/12/2009 - 13:05.
Weather: The bright sunshine continues - as does the cold weather. No sign of any more snowfall, though it's bound to come sooner rather than later. The wind chill is really adding to that biting cold though and there's a good few inches of lying snow still.
Events: The major news continues to be about the spirits - early release documentaries and theories on the subject are starting to crop up on various TV channels and most papers have their editorials on the subject. People are taking it in a variety of different ways - religion was an earlier adapter to being a hot bed, but the first adverts for exorcism services appears today. Some of the guys on the hockey team at MSHS decide that it'd be really funny to come to school dressed as Ghostbusters and spend the day throwing goo-filled balloons at people who least expect it.
In other news, it's Chrissy's funeral today, and also there are reports that a body has been found - details are scarce at the moment, but apparently it's a woman and she was found in her own apartment.
If you have any events or anything going on which you think warrants a mention in the time update, please let us know!
