Soap Opera Moments!

Who: Dean and Nic
Where: The Chapel
When: Afternoon
Nic had never considered just what she might do in a literal siege scenario, how she'd react or hold up under the stress. Even if she'd put thought into it before, it wouldn't have lined up with the reality. Not so long ago, the girl had lived for her own bravado, and up until the night she'd seen (and helped kill) a werewolf she'd liked to think that she would be the one kicking ass and taking names. The truth wasn't a disappointment, but it was far from her imagination.

who: caleb and porter
where: the hall
when: afternoon
Say what you will about the change in location, but to Porter? It was an improvement. Sure, they were more exposed here than the chapel, especially if the idea of holy ground being sacrosanct was true, but Medea seemed better already. Porter had left her and Isabelle behind the only door that led clearly to the kitchen, hoping Medea could manage a bit of sleep. She seemed better already, now he just needed to make sure she lived so she could appreciate it.

Sulking with the Ghost

Who: Lauren and Open
Where: The Library
When: Late morning.
Lauren was sulking. Well, only a little bit. Maybe moping was a more appropriate term. Heck, if you're not allowed to mope when you're dead, what are you allowed to do?
Oh right. Nothing. That was what lead to the mopage.
She hadn't been allowed to go on the school trip, for one, which was a massive sore point and seemed remarkably hypocritical considering the whole point of the trip had been "spirit relations" or some such nonsense.

EVENT
Submitted by praelitismods on Thu, 10/22/2009 - 13:00.
The attacks, however, continue on intermittently throughout the day. The demons appear to be targeting their attacks at times and in places where there are only a couple or a small group of students in any one place. Safety is in numbers, but staying all in the same place isn’t always possible.

Who: Caleb and Nic, OPEN TO ALL TEENS
Where: Halls of the hospital, hospital chapel
When: 4 A.M.-ish
Caleb was relieved when the two groups converged on one another, both having been headed for the other group. So, at least that was handy, and it appeared no one was missing. Or, well, no students. With the brief description of the creature, Caleb definitely encouraged the chapel, even though he knew full fucking well he wouldn't be able to stay there. Dean had remained at the back of the group, and Caleb had the front, and he tugged Nic up beside him as they hurried.
wait, we were only kidding!

Who: Dean, Caleb and then OPEN TO ALL BOYS
Where: Boy's dorm
When: 3am
Dean hadn't slept well all night. He was in a dorm with a load of other guys, all breathing (and occasionally sniffling and snoring) at different rates. It wasn't really working for him, so he'd spent his time cat-napping and staring at the ceiling, telling himself that, no, he wasn't allowed to text Thia to see if she was awake - she probably wasn't. She was probably fast asleep right now.

Submitted by discordia on Sat, 10/17/2009 - 15:34.
who: the girls!
when: 3am!
where: asylum of DOOM!
When Medea heard struggle and screams, she immediately ran into the hall, and looked around wildly in the dark. Reaching out to flip the hall lights on, hearing the other girls close on her heels, she looked up the hall and saw some thing chasing someone out...the mangled body of Mrs. Potten.
And then? She screamed.
EVENT
Submitted by praelitismods on Sat, 10/17/2009 - 14:42.
Cell phone communication deteriorates quickly as the storm suddenly hits. Immediately the storm starts, cell communications go down to almost nothing (phonecalls and text messaging possible, but the line quality is incredibly bad and calls may cut out without warning). The quality continues to go down and around 4am, cell phone communication cuts out automatically. Unfortunately, there were no other forms of communication at the hospital to start with - the phone landlines were all disconnected when the hospital was closed down and the place has no internet coverage.
The group was sent to the hospital with four staff as supervisors - two men, two women. The girls dorms and boys dorms are positioned on opposite sides of the building. Immediately after the storm hits, shit hits with it. The following happens:-
The Girls
Of the two female teachers, Mrs Denrose was in bed asleep, whilst Miss Potten was walking the halls, making sure that nobody was out of bed. Miss Potten spotted the trouble, though not by much - she had been looking out of one of the windows and saw a vague dark shape pass by in a squall through the whiteout. At first, she'd thought that she had been seeing things, but it had put her on guard, enough that when the demon came round the corner, the swipe to her belly didn't immediately gut her as had been intended. The cuts, however, still drove deep, and with bloody hand clutched to her front, she ran back to her colleague's room, calling for everyone to get the hell out of bed. The girl's dorm was past the teachers room, so it was to Mrs Denrose she'd gone first - followed by the demon. Denrose was already out of bed by the time Potten got there, and by this time Potten was weakened. Mrs Denrose ran out into the corridor in her nightdress just before Miss Potten reached her, and by this time Miss Potten was on the floor, crawling, leaving a bloody streak behind her. Denrose took one look at her fallen colleague, then a look at the demon - and she ran, screaming, leaving everyone behind. The demon quickly dispatched Miss Potten, ripping out her spine and leaving it in a bloody heap atop the body, then bounded after the screaming teacher, both of them disappearing into the storm.
The girls would have heard all of this - and if they got up in time, would have seen the demon chasing their other teacher away to who knew where. Their other teacher, of course, was a bloody mess on the corridor floor.
The Boys
In the room right next to the boy's dorm, right at 3am on the dot, there's the hideous sounds of gurgling and thrashing coming from the Mr. Barstow's bed. This would be because his throat's been ripped out and he's choking on his own blood. A shadowy figure leapt from his bed to the windowsill, where it opened it up and dropped out to disappear in moments. In the brightly lit hall, Mr. Channing, who was taking his shift wandering the hallways ensuring students weren't out and sneaking off places didn't make a sound when he was killed. All students will be able to do is find the remains of his corpse in the hall, looking very shreded. No limbs remain still attached to the torso, and his head was placed just outside the boy's dorm on the floor, facing the door. Blood is thick on the floor and walls, leaving it rather slippery out there.
The Result
The teenagers are now left in an empty building with no way of leaving and no real way of communicating with the outside world. Their adult supervision is now dead, or missing. The girls know that there is something big and black and humanoid out there, the boys don't even know that much. The two groups are on opposite sides of the hospital, and don't know how the other group is doing. That is what they know immediately.
After the initial events, nothing else happens until dawn. Currently, please do not scene past dawn!
