Oz was in the games room on the third floor. It was too cold outside to be playing on the porch, but he'd still had the urge to play, and even sing for a bit. Which was something, considering he hadn't really done that since the kids had gone off to another country. He hadn't had the concentration for it. And with things as insane as they had been lately, with the attacks, the subsequent executions...he hadn't had a whole lot of music to draw from in his system.

Who: Isaac and Peyton
When: early Afternoon
Where: Isaac's house
After spending the morning catching up on the homework she had fallen behind on, Peyton decided it was time to get out of the house. Her dad was working, and Tyler was with friends, as usual, and the occasional ghost passing through the house did nothing to to really put her at ease being alone. She changed from her pajamas into jeans and a sweater before pulling on her shoes and jacket to leave. It was a decent day, weather wise, and Peyton was thankful it wasn't snowing. She walked a few blocks before she started to feel a bit restless, and when she pulled out her phone, she thought about texting Kavin to see if he was busy, but really, all she wanted to do was see Isaac. She wasn't sure if he was home, or he if had plans with Thom or something, but she started walking in the direction of his house anyway. She was halfway there before she realized that if he wasn't then maybe Kaysen would answer the door. And Peyton wasn't stupid enough to think Kaysen might actually like her, so that definitely had the potential to be awkward. So rather than take the chance, Peyton decided to take the cowardly way out and text Isaac beforehand.
hey you. are you home? I'm down the street and wanted to see you if you weren't busy..

When: Evening
Where: Jessalyn's house
He'd thought about texting Jessalyn earlier in the day, but he hadn't. He decided instead to surprise her by just showing up. Maybe she'd want to go for a walk or something. Maybe. So he'd walked over to her place and stood on the doorstep for about two minutes before he even knocked on the door. Hopefully she'd answer and he'd avoid the dad again like he had before. Course he couldn't get that lucky twice could he?
Matthew Lainey had been in the sitting room going over curriculum changes when he heard the steps on the front porch, and then the knock. He waited a moment, to see if maybe Pamela would be answering it, but he could hear her upstairs lecturing Jacob on the disaster state of his room, so he realized it was up to him to send the solicitor away. Sighing, Matthew stood and set his papers down before unlocking the door and opening it. His eyes landed on a boy. A teenage boy. One who looked too old to be friends with fifteen year old Jacob, so that must have meant... he was here for Jessalyn. His baby girl. Matthew tensed, though with a forced smile. Becoming overprotective dad now wouldn't help matters, especially since he trusted Jessalyn's judgment completely.
"Hi, can I help you?"

When: Evening
Even if he'd spent the last two nights with Charlotte, Ransom found himself stopping by her house on the way home from work. He knew she might be busy, and was most likely doing her homework, but just going in to say hello for a few minutes shouldn't be too bad. As long as she didn't think he was being clingy. That was his biggest concern. Still, it wasn't enough to stop him, and he parked the truck out front before jogging up to her house and knocking on her door.

How have you Really been?
Submitted by feelmywrath on Sat, 05/02/2009 - 19:23.Who: Ash and Joey
When: Late afternoon
Where: Motor Masters
She had waited a couple days before deciding to go visit Ash. She figured it was probably best that way, since he had been pretty wasted the last time they had run into one another. Still, she sort of worried about him, especially with the ghostly visitors and the current state of, well, the world. Frankly, she just wanted to make sure he was still alive. So after work she got a fresh coffee and just for the hell of it, some cheesecake, before getting into her car and driving to Ash's garage. She was hoping that he was there, and working, and at least she had the excuse of needing snow tires put on her car. If he wasn't, well, she could probably track him down somehow. Pulling up to his shop, she saw that he was at least open. Turning off the engine, she got out of the car, coffee and bag in hand, and headed into the open garage, her eyes searching for him, or maybe at least his legs sticking out from underneath one of the cars.

After finishing up his letter to the ancestors, Madock headed upstairs to his bedroom, but stopped just short of entering it when he caught sight of the light coming from beneath Breezy's door. He put off sleep for a bit longer and took a few steps to her door, lightly knocking and waiting for a response.
Breezy had been on her computer when she heard the sound, and was honestly a little surprised by it. Someone was up? "Come in," she called lightly, pulling off her headphones. And please don't be mom or dad. I don't need another late-nights lecture.

Submitted by Anonymous on Sat, 05/02/2009 - 18:26.Who: Gabe and Claire
Where: Phoneland, then Gabe's house
When: Evening
The tongue lashing Gabe received from his mom was unlike any he'd gotten in a rather long time. While she'd always been annoyed with him for fighting, now it was different. She didn't wait to hear the explanation before ripping into him, and even after she insisted that he should have done a better job at getting away from the fight. Gabe thought it best to leave out the part where he'd thrown the first punch.
After dinner, he lay on his bed, staring up at the ceiling as the day's events ran through his head. There really wasn't much that could have made it worse, so instead he tried to think of something that would make it better. Gabe sucked on his lip as he reached for his phone, hitting the speed dial for Claire. It would be nice to talk to her, just for a little bit, and maybe she'd be able to cheer him up.
Saved from a Storm Drain
Submitted by Anonymous on Sat, 05/02/2009 - 18:25.Who: Kitty and Kavin
Where: Streets of Marquette, near a gas station
When: Afternoon
Out of all the stupid things Kitty had done in her life, she was pretty sure this ranked up in the top ten. Maybe even the top five. All she'd meant to do was swing by the gas station on her walk home and buy a soda, but when she heard the voice calling from the storm drain, she'd had to go investigate. All she'd intended on doing was checking out the scene, but the closer she got, the more her curiosity peaked. There was definitely someone down there! Without much thought, she pulled up the grate and leaned in, attempting to see who it might be. And that's when she slipped.
The ghost snickered and ran off, leaving Kitty sitting at the bottom, looking up at the hole she'd fallen down into. Climbing to her feet, she reached up and grabbed the ledge, but her upper arms didn't prove to be strong enough to pull her out. "Hey!" she yelled, hands waving frantically from the hole in the ground. "Somebody help me!" Hopefully someone would be as willing to investigate as she had been, though hopefully not near as clumsy.

Caleb knew what he was doing. He didn't like what he was doing, but he knew what it was. He was looking for the spirit of Lullaby's old man. If he was going to be anywhere, he figured it'd be on the beach where he'd been dropped in one shot. Then y'know. Subsequently had his skull bashed open by a mermaid to get the bullet back. So far, though, he didn't see the guy. Which he couldn't decide on. Was it a relief? Or was it just suspicious, and vaguely worrisome?

Who: Kurt and open!
When: afternoon
Where: streets of Marquette
Walking around town was ... interesting, in a word. Kurt had been doing it for the better part of the day, ignoring the still-present ache in his knee, and just taking in the sights. Strangely, he was entirely unperturbed by the presence of ghosts in the world. As long as he wasn't anywhere near Auschwitz or Bergen-Belsen or hell, even Berlin, he thought he could continue to be fine with them. He found them more fascinating than anything, in all honesty.
And the way people were reacting ... he nodded slowly as a man on the street babbled to him about how the seven plagues were next, and the murder of everyone's firstborn and the Angel of Death and all that. Kurt wasn't a religious man, per se, but he knew enough to be fairly certain the gentlemen had gotten his books mixed up. As the wild-eyed fanatic saw he wasn't getting anywhere and moved on to the next nearest ear, Kurt chuckled to himself, shook his head, and picked up his walking again.

The Wrong Way to Out a Were
Submitted by Anonymous on Sat, 05/02/2009 - 03:17.Who: Kyle and Gabe
When: Later afternoon
Where: Gabe's house
After leaving Nevermore, Kyle headed directly toward Gabe's house. He kept Dorian's advice in mind - not to provoke a werewolf. But... yeah, he was still pretty doubtful that werewolves existed. In fact, he was more worried about just hurting Gabe than anything else. But experiments were experiments, and hopefully his friend would understand that. He just had to think of a way to piss the guy off enough... and if that didn't work, then maybe he'd start a fight with him to see what happened. If Gabe turned into a crazy, hairy monster? Then holy shit, okay, he'd believe. And probably be dead too... but... chances were it wouldn't go down that way.
You're a crazy, stupid mother fucker, he thought before shaking his head and walking up Gabe's driveway to the front door. This could all easily backfire on him, which he was almost prepared for. But he felt he had to do it. Taking a deep breath, Kyle lifted his hand to knock.
Advice and Alcohol

When: Evening
Where: A bar
As of Tuesday it would have been two weeks since Judiel disappeared. Two weeks since Olivia last saw him, or heard him or anything. She was thinking as of Tuesday, she would have to call his mom and explain things. Since she was having no luck finding a gate to the Dreaming, and no one seemed to be able to help her. She felt useless, and hopeless, and knew if she couldn't even help her boyfriend, she wasn't going to be able to protect anyone. She was becoming extremely close to just sinking into a depressive state, so she was grateful when Jules suggested going out for a drink. A drink was definitely something Olivia could handle, since alcohol always made everything better, right? Right.

You Believe in This Stuff?
Submitted by deadzone on Thu, 04/30/2009 - 15:26.Who: Kyle and Dorian
When: Late afternoon
Where: Nevermore
After an afternoon of searching for ghosts, Kyle had come to the conclusion that he was probably never going to see one. Nothing concrete and indisputable anyway. He didn't know what else he could do to fix it, or if anything even needed fixing. Still, he had questions, as he was sure a lot of people did. But not all of his questions centered around the existence of ghosts. Gabe was still lingering in the back of his mind, and before Kyle concluded that his best friend was being driven mad by rabies or something, he figured it wouldn't hurt to get some information first. He felt stupid the minute he took off for Nevermore. The store had always been bunk in his mind - another New Age-y shop that sold incense and books that would teach desperate teenage girls love spells or some shit. Still, if it was a supernatural book store, Kyle figured they would have stuff on werewolves. It would be even better if he found someone who worked there who could just answer him rather than making him read something.
Matters of the Heart and Mating
Submitted by Anonymous on Thu, 04/30/2009 - 02:29.Who: Gabe and Charlotte
Where: Charlotte's house
When: Late morning
Sundays were meant to be lazy and Gabe wasn't in a hurry to get anywhere fast. His mother had gone to church, but listening to someone talk about the end of the world wasn't high on Gabe's list of fun things to do. He had enough to stress about without adding that to the mix. Instead, he headed over to Charlotte's house, hoping that maybe they could hang out for a bit, and maybe talk about ghosts. After spending the evening with Lauren, he was eager to learn more about them, and Charlotte seemed to be the most informed person he knew. Knocking on the door, he waited for someone to answer, hearing the footsteps inside before anyone even made it near the door.

Who: Dean and Thia
Where: Their house
When: First thing
When Dean woke that morning, he felt surrounded. Not in a bad way, it was just something he hadn't quite expected. It was the pressure on his feet, in addition to the Thia draped over one side of him that was the new part - she was so small that generally his feet stayed free, and it took him a minute to realise that the pressure was BB, curled up asleep on the end of the bed.
At least, the kitten had been asleep until Dean moved, but the slightest movement from the teen and the little ball o fluff went from fast asleep to awake and pouncing in less than a moment. 'Hunt the feet' was always a fun game and BB seemed to have a lasting love of it. Dean just wasn't used to being woken up like this in the morning. Usually if BB slept with anyone, it was with Thia. Only last night, Thia slept with him - and was currently pinning down his left side, in actual fact. He didn't particularly want to disturb her, but even through the blankets, the kitten's little claws were sharp. He tried shucking him off with a flip of his foot, which only severed to give the kitten proof that Dean was joining in the game, which was just encouragement!
The Ugly Not-Truth

Who: Rey and Rafe
When: mid-morning
Where: the Delacourt house
Rafe was sprawled sideways across his bed, on his stomach, the black-out curtains parted just enough so that a sliver of light fell across his back. He frowned reflexively in his sleep, eyelids moving rapidly with dreams that would drive the sane mad. The furry tail emerging from the small hole in the back of his loose flannel pants twitched restlessly. His mother, he was ... searching for his dark-eyed mother. It was too fluid to find her, there was nothing but blood-ribboned water. Too much water. He grunted and rolled, curling into the fetal position on top of the bunched-up comforter, lost and oblivious in the first real sleep he'd had in a couple of days.
For days now, Rey had been waiting. He'd tamped down his eagerness for this torment as long as he could, and when he'd finally felt like he could no longer? The story had hit the paper. All the details Rey had hoped for were there. Beyond Chelo's death itself there was mention of the missing blood, the spattered paint, the obvious robbery. He'd thought it out, deliberately planning ahead as he considered how best to twist his brother, to bind him closer.
And now? Now that it was out for the world to see, Rey could reap what he'd sown. He was lingering outside his brother's doorway, listening closely to the soft grunts and murmurs of fitful sleep as he waited with the newspaper clenched in hand. Summoning a careful fury to his features and holding it, Rey snapped Rafe's door open, letting it bang off the wall loudly before he spoke. "Rafael!" he snapped at the sleeping form, concentrating on the anger instead of the urge to smile.

When: Wee small hours of the morning

As he knew he would, Aiden woke up just as dawn was starting it's slow creep over the horizon. It took him a few seconds to remember where he was, though the warm body tangled around his pretty much tipped it off immediately. He had stayed the night with Jules. And now it was time to go. He rubbed his hand over his tired eyes and then careful began to untangle his limbs from hers. His arm was underneath her and he moved carefully, not wanting to wake her up for a variety of reasons. If he could get dressed and get out to his car without her knowing, that'd probably be best for them both.
Waiting on Casper
Submitted by deadzone on Mon, 04/27/2009 - 16:23.Who: Kyle and Kitty
When: Late morning
Where: Cemetery
This morning Kyle was somewhere he rarely, if ever, visited. The library. He figured he could have probably gotten online at home, but he found himself wanting to look through old newspapers from Marquette, and they didn't have everything archived online so... library it was. He sat at a table with the last few months worth of newspapers, looking through the pages and looking for anything that could be construed as weird. There were articles on the animal attacks - including Chrissy's obituary - and how practically everyone in the hospital who had been bitten had died for one reason or another. Only Gabe hadn't died, had he? Everything else had some kind of explanation... burglaries, gangs on drugs, hallucinations from contaminated water. More shit like that... nothing that mentioned the supernatural, which didn't surprise him. How many newspapers other than the Weekly World News would have the guys to print something so rubbish?
TIME UPDATE
Submitted by praelitismods on Sun, 04/26/2009 - 08:23.
Weather: No more snow today, it's a pretty nice day, actually, though the weather forecast talks of a possible snow storm tomorrow.
Events: It's Sunday, and the churches in town are packed to the rafters. Families who have never been to a church in their lives re suddenly dragging their kids there. Preachers are lengthening their sermons and almost every one is about the end of days and the signs before armaggedon. Some are really warming to their subject.
Also, there are several cults setting up around town catching the overflow. There's a variety - some that want you to give up all your worldly goods (to them, of course), some that claim to know how to stop, or survive what's coming.
The story about the woman found in her apartment has expanded in today's paper, revealing that the body discovered yesterday has been identified as one Chelo Espinosa, local business owner. Someone in the city morgue has leaked details to the paper, and it's been revealed that Chelo was shot at point blank range. Her body has been smeared with paint and shows signs of a beating. Police are assuming her death was part of a robbery, but are troubled by the lack of several quarts of Chelo's blood and the presence of ammonia all throughout the crime scene, which suggests her attacker is deliberately covering up their trail.
If you have any events or anything going on which you think warrants a mention in the time update, please let us know!
