She'd done good. It had been months since she'd actually had to be downstairs at Babylon for longer than a few minutes. All her clients had agreed to just be ushered up to her room and she'd not left besides to grab food and then head back upstairs.

Despite what Eva had said in her message, Doc still hadn't erased it. In fact, he'd listened to it a dozen times now, had tried calling her back twice as many even. He'd told Teddy to look for her, spread word to friends who owed him favors, checked local APBs and more. But she was gone.

Dylan's day had been a slow one. School hadn't been bad, exactly, but it hadn't been good either and the afternoon had dragged out until he was sure the clock must have stopped. When class had finally let out, he had to walk home and while he didn't normally mind the distance, the cold ruined his mood. He was from California, what was this 'snow' thing people kept talking about?! At least when his dad was around, his brother had a car.

Dylan wasn't early to English but he wasn't late either. That had been the rest of his day too, not bad but not really great either. At least he had spent lunch with Leija, he counted that as a win, but one highlight of red in a sea of grey blandness didn't count enough to him. At least the day was almost over, two classes left and then he was free.

It was intolerable, that was for certain. The throng of humanity, the literal cluster of them all bustling between aisles, bumping Rey and not apologizing, leaning around him to pluck service tickets from the meats and seafood counter, gabbing about their mundane little lives. But it was also amusing. They were so scared, and why? Snow? It certainly seemed so. He'd heard the same conversation replayed a dozen times in his time spent shopping with Rafael: more snow might come, you should stock up on groceries, is your snow blower tuned up, and so on and so forth.

And as much as he hated to be in agreement with these people, they shared reasoning. His own pantries had been somewhat bare when the storm hit, and Rey knew it was best to stock up on basic amenities he could use for several dishes just in case he was stuck cooking for himself and Rafael again. Still, it'd be wonderful if it went faster, or at least if there was something entertaining to make his wait more enjoyable. "All of this for peasants cuts of meat, no?" Rey murmured to his brother in Spanish as he leaned an arm on the grip of his cart, sighing impatiently.

Sophie wasn't exactly sure what had made her swing by the camps on her way home from town. She'd been out looking at possibilities of buying a car for Dean - with the weather the way it was, he really needed his own, sharing wasn't going to work for much longer. She'd given him a ride to school this morning, but she didn't want to have to do that every day, plus she had to go back to pick his up in a while and... Yeah. if she didn't, if he took the car, then she was housebound all day. They needed a second and she'd scouted out a few possibilities she needed to discuss with Oz. But, driving home, she'd ended up on campus, where she hadn't been since dropping out of classes last semester.

Possibly it was nostalgia which made her do it, but there she was. She'd parked up and gotten out, taking a walk - until she'd walked right into the rally. And then she'd wished that she hadn't as suddenly she was surrounded by people listening to a preacher holler on about the end of the world. Sophie turned around and started trying to push her way back out of the crowd once again.

Technically this was Dylan’s first day of the week. He’d skipped on Monday to spend time with Seph instead and avoided being snowed in with the rest of the school. Most people would call it luck but he knew otherwise. He was guided by something better, he had intuition. Something had told him to stay home that day and to him, it was another proof of his family’s so-called curse.
