Who: Chance and Jordan
Where: Phone
When: Afternoon

After Hannah had left to take a walk and get some fresh air, Chance got to cleaning up some of the worst parts of the house. The glass and some broken wood. The better the house looked, the less likely his mom would freak out later, when Hannah was gone. He was tired, more than a little scratched up, and hungry. Only he wasn't really hungry for food which sort of threw him, but it wasn't like he could go out and seek out someone with a cloud of negative energy around him. That just felt a bit too weird at that moment.

Once the floors were swept and some broken items tossed, Chance picked up his phone, scrolled through the names quickly and landed on Jordan. He hit the button to call her and flopped onto the couch, rubbing once hand over his face while it rang.

Lucius pulled up in front of Marlowe's house and parked her car, leaning over the passenger seat to collect the food bags, drinks and book he'd sat there. He made sure to lock the car before heading to her front door. It wasn't his house and he felt bad about just walking in so he shifted the drinks, balancing them between his arm and chest, clutching the bags in a fist with the book tucked under his arm. He rapped on the door with his newly freed hand and awaited impatiently the turning of the knob. God let her be alright... he thought. He couldn't help but be angry with himself for leaving her alone to begin with.

Almost at the same instant the knock had been made the door opened to a smiling Marlowe on the other side of the door way. Having two dogs did have its benefits, like announcing arrivals before they actually were at the door. "Need some help there, Baby?" She asked. Not that he'd accept the offer, but with his hands being somewhat over burdened with stuff, Marlowe tossed the offer out none-the-less.

It was a quiet time again. The big German and Doc's woman were on watch, and Seph had slipped away from a nap upstairs. He wasn't sure what time it was, but it didn't really matter, did it? He made the brief mental stretch toward his sister, in that way that was like concentrating on a specific limb, to see where she was and make sure she was fine. He padded down the stairs in flannel pants and a t-shirt with the shoulder holster over it. He'd slept in it. It was necessary now, and a feeling he'd gotten used to over the past two days. He thought in a wry way that he was gonna get to be like Doc and go nowhere without it.

Dean sat mostly in darkness - the full moon providing the only light filtering in through a window overlooking the stairs, lighting the barricade that the teen had set up to stop any of the shadows getting up to them. He himself sat at the top of the stairs, his back to the wall, toying with his phone between his hands. He'd written several texts he hadn't sent, dialled several numbers but not connected. He knew he was all over the place, straight on very few things right now. He dialled one more number and stared at it for a long long time before hitting the green button this time instead of the red, his heart hammering in his ears as he placed the phone to his ear and listened to the ringing tone. Maybe he wouldn't answer.

After talking with Brian and Mya, and spending a few hours in front of her books, Isabella had grown restless. Knowing that it wasn't really in her best interest to drive over to Brian's just yet, she had found it difficult to stay inside, seeing as how she couldn't quite concentrate. And the longer she stayed inside thinking of Hunt doing magic, the harder it was to resist ignoring Brian's advice and going to see him.

There were still a few people in town she hadn't seen since returning. Marlowe was one of them. So in an effort to distract her thoughts, Isabella had climbed into her car and driven to the young woman's house, hoping that she was home. Pulling up to the curb in front of the house, she turned off her car, grabbed her cell and headed up to the door. She rang the doorbell, slipping her cell and car keys into her bag as she waited.

Who: Peyton and Hannah
Where: The streets near Peyton's house
When: Afteroon (post-Geo scene)

After leaving Geo, Peyton took the longer route home. She wasn't too eager to sit around at home by herself. Tyler was probably home, but she wasn't sure she could be around him and not tell him everything going on. He already knew something was up just by looking at her, but she'd been able to dodge actually telling him the truth so far. She was pretty close to cracking and filling him on what she knew, but she still thought he would just think she was crazy. Or sick. Or both.

At the moment her mind was preoccupied. She wasn't sure she was comfortable with Geo working at some crazy bar that, according to him, moved. She didn't like not being able to see Isaac, though she understood the reasoning behind it. She didn't like lying to her brother - or her dad for that matter. She didn't like worrying about Leija, or any of her friends that seemed to have a lot of heavy stuff piling up - especially when she wasn't sure what she could do to help them. She was trying to deal with her own fears, but it wasn't like she could just pour them all out on anyone. Things were hard enough - people were being attacked and hurt, and on the defense. It was appropriate of her at all to make them listen to her when her problems were so minuscule compared to theirs. But she knew Geo at least had Sammy, and his sister to an extent. And Isaac was with Kaysen and Thom, so she knew he wasn't alone. She thought about calling Leija, but Leija was dealing with her own personal issues - and Herbert... well, he usually resorted to awkwardly patting her on the back if he knew she was upset.

But it was okay. She could deal. It wasn't like she was frail, or made of glass. Peyton would be okay - she'd just.. handle it and do what she could when she could. That was the important thing, right? Feeling a bit tired, she went to sit on the curb a few streets away from her house. She couldn't see any shadows - which was a relief. She hoped maybe they were gone for good, but who knew? Pulling her knees up, she set her bag beside her and inhaled deeply.

Geo sat - sprawled, really - in the back of Sammy's minivan, kicking idly at nothing-in-particular with a scratched bare foot as he watched the strangely-warm street through the open hatch. Sammy's minivan. Wow that just seemed wrong. The old, battered van - even with its paint scorched and bubbling on one red side from the fire - had always been their Mom's. It just seemed...wrong, to have it belong to anyone else. The will had been rather clear on the splitting up of the vehicles, though, and the keys now attached to Sammy's totem necklace made it difficult to dispute.

Not that he wanted to, anyways. He wasn't like Helen.

Who: Corwin and Ivan
Where: Corwin's house
When: 7:45ish

Corwin sat on the steps that led from basement to house, well out of the way of the last rays of sunlight and any shadow that happened to come waltzing through the open hatch doors across the basement, leading in from the outside. He wasn't expecting shadows, however: he was expecting Ivan. He'd timed this carefully, using his best guess as to when shadows would come looking for him and Delilah and the ghosts-- though thank god Theresa had gone out, once she'd appeared again, and smashed a few mid-mirror-transit, so now they were down from sixteen to twelve. She was being remarkably helpful, though when asked all she did was mutter that it was for the girl and stalk off.

None of that, though, changed the fact that after fighting most of the day the day before, and after being torn to shreds again that morning, Corwin was in rather dire need of another meal. He couldn't go out yet, and even if he did he was afraid he'd be gone far too long; he couldn't ask Delilah after her donating the day before; and he couldn't ask Shannon or Olivia-- they had their own worries. And, well, Ivan had offered... kind of....

So it was Ivan he called, first in the morning-- no answer. Then in the afternoon-- no answer. And finally again, just half an hour ago, apologizing and embarrassed and half-begging and starving, dammit, in the hopes that he'd come over. And he was. Corwin could have kissed him, he was so grateful, if he didn't know that would be a bad idea. He'd just have to make do with biting him.

Corwin. Corwin!

"Wha-- what. What?"

Dawn's coming. You really oughta get the doors closed.

"Oh... oh. Damn, I fell asleep?"

Yeah. But it doesn't look like they came, anyway....

Corwin felt around for the wall, then followed the wall to the basement doors. He shut them by feel alone; the thick forest and lingering night beyond blocked out all the light. Maybe the attacks were over... maybe with dawn, they'd be safe....

"Is Delilah...?"

Asleep, Eric said. Or, well, quiet. She's in bed, so I'm guessing asleep. Kirk and Alexi are both up on the bed with her.

"I think she's just a dog person," Corwin chuckled a bit, and made his way blindly across the basement to the stairs up into the rest of the house. He didn't bother turning on any lights. It was his house, he knew it well, and any cats in the way would move for him. He climbed both sets of stairs, creeping into his bedroom... currently Delilah's bedroom.

Picking up her portable, she dialed the number and set her cell back onto her table as it began to ring. She knew Mya was out of town, but she was hoping that hearing from a friend would be a pleasant enough surprise that Mya wouldn't mind being interrupted on her vacation.

Mya was getting back to her hotel room after another wonderful day at the expo. She'd just put down the 'goodies' when her phone rang. Pulling it out she looked at the number and smiled at the name that popped up on the caller ID. She flopped down on the bed and leaned back, putting the device to her ear. "Hello?"

It had been a difficult night. And an even more difficult morning. Judiel had stayed, remaining in the living room where there was ample light. Which meant Olivia had stayed in her bedroom in the complete darkness, her eyes wide and staring in case those things came back. It worried her more than not only was Herbert in the apartment - but Judiel too. She hadn't slept well to begin with, but once dawn broke, exhaustion had to be put aside to fight those things off again. There'd only been three of them this time, clawing and breaking their way through the door. Olivia probably should have stayed in her room, but frankly, the protector inside of her refuse to let her stay hunched in a corner while Judi and Herbert dealt with those things.

It had been hard to go to school that day. Not everyone was in attendance, and it had been hard to concentrate on anything with those stupid shadows still wandering around town. Her dad was working double shifts again, with the amount of injured people being admitted. Peyton hadn't slept well and she knew that the stress was starting to show. She wore jeans and an old vintage Rolling Stones t-shirt, her red hair pulled up into a ponytail as she headed toward the park to meet Geo. She was relieved to know from his text that he was okay, and Sammy as well. She'd been growing increasingly worried with every day that passed where she hadn't heard from him. Once she hit the park, she tugged out her earphones, eyes seeking him out.

After dealing with Domino's scathing lecture about not going off on his own when he was being attacked, Brian called the next person on his list of people who needed to know where he was. This time, it wasn't because she needed to know where he was, but because she needed to know what had happened there. He dialed up Isabella, safe in the pitch blackness of the bathroom, and waited for her to pick up.

Isabella had just switched off her laptop and stood from her desk, stretching and stifling a yawn behind her fist. She'd been holed up in her house for the past two days, ignoring the television and news. Cutting out the outside world, so to speak. It was the only way she could truly work and concentrate. So she wasn't surprised when she turned on her cell phone and it began ringing not ten seconds later. She recognized Brian's number and answered, making her way to the kitchen to make some tea. "Hey handsome."

He'd stayed on the staircase all day and the shadows had come. He'd taken them out one by one, aim fire. Aim fire. Aim fire. He'd blocked the staircase off with furniture, making a bottle neck and standing above it. They were like lambs to the slaughter. Aim fire. Aim fire.

He'd not gone back upstairs as Oz had asked. He didn't want to plan with the others. He had a plan - the shadows came and he killed them. They stuck to their timing. Always more than an hour between attacks, often a couple. Sophie came down at one point between for food. Dean walked off when she did that - he didn't want to talk to her. Not right now, not after this morning. He didn't want to talk to any of them. He didn't eat. He wasn't hungry - he was never hungry and today he wasn't going to force himself, not unless his head started to swim with hunger.

After leaving school at lunch the previous day, Charlotte had not returned to day. She'd explained to her mother that she'd thought she was ready to go back to school after getting back, but it turned out that she wasn't up to it. Isadora had been nothing but sympathetic. Charlotte felt guilty for lying to her mother, especially about grieving over her uncle, but something had to be done. And nobody else was doing it. It was her frustrated opinion that what she was doing should have been done well before now, and by someone who'd actually been in the state for most of it.

She'd spent all of the previous afternoon and evening in the library, and had gone straight back there today when they had opened. Once she felt she had more than enough to support her theory, she took a deep, supposedly calming breath, bent over her cellphone, and got to heavy texting.

Broken mirrors. That was the key to getting rid of the bastards for longer than an hour. Once he and Marlowe had realized that, they'd made it a point to break the reflective surfaces as soon as the fuckers came through. Screw the bad luck they'd be getting for all the broken glass, a few hours of peace with no shadows showing up was well deserved.

The assault had continued through the night, and straight on into morning again. It seemed with the light of the new day, the shadows coming had increased in number. The day before, they'd taken care of every mirror in the house, so their assailants were only coming from the outside. The twins, Kurt, and Eva had set up a rotation to watch the back and front of the house, and it seemed to be working out well enough. Their stores of ammo were showing the dent, but they were far from out. All of them seemed to be good shots, and had the others to back them up once the shooting started. They caught catnaps here and there, when things were quiet. It was taking the fuckers longer to get to them, which Seph was all for. Any chance he got to curl up and be close to his sister was a chance he took. Their connection was wide open, but sometimes that just wasn't enough. Sometimes they just had to sit still and quiet and stroke each other's hair. In private, of course, when they were sure the others in the basement were covered.

Who: Claire and Sean
When: After school
Where: Steps outside of the library

It wasn't too shortly after school that Claire started walking toward the library. It was the easiest, most convenient place to hide for awhile and read and hopefully the building would remain shadowless. She wasn't sure what the things were, only that it freaked a lot of people out - some more so than others. It wasn't affecting Claire so much, given what had been going on in town over the past couple of months anyway. However, that didn't mean the shadows weren't terribly unnerving. She thought about texting Josh to see if he was okay, you know, just in case, but bit back on the urge. She hadn't heard from him since they hung out a few days prior, and she didn't want him to think he had to hang out with her, or communicate, or just about anything with her. Then again, maybe something had happened, or he broke another body part, or hurt himself and couldn't get in touch with her. Maybe she should text or something.

Claire readjusted her book bag on her back and decided not to turn into one of those annoying girls who wondered if some guy was going to call or not. Especially when they were just friends. Claire rolled her eyes at herself and quickened her steps to the library, attempting not to trip over herself on the way. She managed it - until she got to the steps. She wasn't even sure how she did it, except that her feet were sort of tangled up and then she was landing hard on her knees on the stone steps. A few books slid out from her bag onto the stairs behind her. Sighing, Claire shifted and sat down, watching three of her papers flutter away from her books, down the steps toward the street. She would have jumped up to run after them if her knees didn't hurt - and she was sure she wouldn't have just gone toppling down the stairs after them. "Bullshit," she muttered, resisting the urge to throw a fit. At least no one saw her.
