Who: Brian and Isabella
Where: On the phone
When: About 5:30PM

Brian finally pulled himself away from Domino, leaving him with a little kiss and the promise that he'd be back, he just had to make a phone call. He really did have to talk to Isabella, see what she had to say about this, if she could help.... Besides, he'd promised. He limped into the kitchen for the phone, and dialed in Isabella's number, slipping down onto one of the kitchen chairs wearily as he waited for her to pick up.

Who: Manhattan and Aiden
Where: A Casino in Vegas
When: Night Time

This was her second walk through of the casino grounds. Manhattan stopping every so often to drop a couple coins into various slots, the hunter not really paying attention to which slot she momentarily sat at. Her attention was more focused on the wanderings of people moving around the area she'd be stationed in for the moment. Looking for any telltale signs of the targets she was seeking. It was in this hotel that people had come up dead in their rooms over the past couple of months. Different ages, nationalities, gender, etc. No visible connections among that deceased that would linked any of the victims. None except for the twin sets of piercing marks left in their necks. It seemed that the fanged creatures were marking their victims at random. Just about anyone within the casino could find themselves falling prey to the hungry undead.

Small bucket in hand, the bottom barely layered with coin, Manhattan left one machine to walk a few short feet before settling down at another. A couple coins removed from the circular, cardboard like bucket and slipped almost absently into the machine before the arm was pulled down and then released.

Hey Princess, it's me - just calling to say I'm leaving town for a while. Got a few things to do. I'll be back though. And I'm likely to change my number in a few days, week or so, so don't worry if you can't get hold of me. You have any problems, call the house - I'll set up a service. Take care.

When: Afternoon

Skye had hid herself for a few hours, yesterday, after meeting the machete man, completely ignoring his advice that she get stitches until a bit later, but not completely ignoring the idea of barricading her house. And breaking the mirrors. She did that, too. Once you managed to wrap your head around the idea that shadows could kill you, the idea that they came from mirrors seemed in the natural course of things.

Who: Michelle and Ash
When: just after dark
Where: random residential Marquette

The shadows were gone. He hadn't seen a single one all day, and while that should probably have been a relief, the ... abruptness of it had left Ash feeling kind of thrown off. Like some switch had been flipped. And unless he was the one doing the flipping, he was generally uncomfortable with that kind of thing. It left too many questions unanswered. That and the goddamn things didn't leave any bodies, which had been bothering him for days. He was a physical kind of person, he liked solid evidence of things. Blood and guts and something to drop in the middle of the woods where no one would find it. Not just that wispy shadow bullshit.

In any case, it had made him restless. He now was left with nothing to do, and his blood was still up. He'd slept some, showered, made sure the shop hadn't been totally destroyed, and then headed back out. The rain had stopped for the time being, and the sun had gone down, and he wasn't even really sure what part of town he was in anymore. He was just walking, in between houses, hands stuffed into his jacket pockets. So many of them seemed empty. In that abrupt way.

Who: Harper and Herbert
When: Early Afternoon, around 1PM
Where: Nevermore

The store wasn't actually open, but the light was on. Harper knew there'd be no customers after yesterday, so she didn't want to open and force the store to pay her for doing nothing. But she needed information. After everything that happened, she needed to know why. Nevermore had all the resources she needed, and normally she'd never go there when it was closed and exploit the fact that she had a key, but these weren't normal circumstances. Harper sat in the chair nearish the window and was reading more about psychic visions. She was re-reading things she'd already read. She just needed to know what was going on.

Herbert was looking for Harper. He'd much rather talk to people in person than on the phone, he'd found, and see and smell for himself that people were okay and whole and all that. It made him feel better. And since she hadn't returned his call, well... he was determined to see her. So when she wasn't at her house, he turned himself around and biked over to Nevermore. It was the only place he could think of where she might be. He was a little wet when he got there-- or, well, a lot wet-- but not nearly as bad as when he'd gotten to Charlie's. The rain was more sporadic now, and not as heavy. Elda poked her head out of his coat pocket as he slowed to a stop, and he paused under the overhang to try again, and just as unsuccessfully, to wring out his clothes before he went inside.

He walked his bicycle up to the window, cupping one hand to the window to peer in. There was light in there, and-- aha, there was Harper! He rapped gently on the glass, trying to get her attention.

Where: Brian's house
When: Late afternoon, around 5

Before starting on dinner for himself and Domino, Brian put together the usual soup for Hunt. It didn't take long, and was ridiculously simple, but it was all he could figure out how to get into the man. He gave Domino's cheek a kiss in passing, then headed into the bedroom with his burden of liquid.

"Dinner time, Hunt," he said cheerfully. He figured talking to him wouldn't hurt anything, even if it didn't help or Hunt didn't even notice it. "Your favorite, again."

Who: Herbert and Charlotte

When: 9:30ish AM

Herbert was was halfway out the door when his phone started buzzing with one of the standard rings in his pocket. The opposite-side pocket to the one little Elda was in; she poked her bill out with a curious little noise. He paused out in the hall to check what it was-- a text message-- and then who it was-- Charlie-- before skimming it and grinning. It looked like he had a friend to go see.

It took a little longer than usual to get to Charlie's place, given it was still raining-- though the rain was slowing by the time he got there-- but he did make it. He just made it, well, wet. He didn't mind, but he did worry a bit that Charlie might. So he stepped under the porch overhang and spent a moment attempting to wring his clothes out before knocking. He finally gave up and just knocked, hoping she might have a towel ready.

I'm begging you to be my escape.

After saying goodbye to Hannah and leaving Beacon House, Lucius made his way back to Marlowe's. Getting out of town for a while was starting to sound better and better the closer he got to her home. Spending some time with his girlfriend and for once not having any battles or paranormal activities would be nice. A little normalcy was in order and he wanted it so badly he could almost taste it. He pulled into the drive and left his bags in the car, seeing no point in unloading just to load again. He made his way up to the front door and knocked lightly.

A small cloud of dust billowed upward behind the black chevy as it cruised across the endless sea of desert. Manhattan had arrived in the city of Las Vegas an hour prior, and after checking herself into one of the lower rated hotels along the stripe, and making a single call, the hunter left the city proper for a rendezvous in the desert.

Who: Kaysen and Isaac
When: evening
Where: their house

So he'd been kind of putting it off. So what? It had been the quiet day of relief that they'd needed so desperately, and though he was compelled to have this talk with his sister, that didn't mean he was really looking forward to it. But maybe he'd get lucky. Maybe she already knew everything, and would be cool with it. Doubtful, but maybe. He'd tried to look up more about fades, but only came up with the same vague 'magically made' blurb that said they had powers. But not exactly what. It seemed that even the people who wrote those kinds of books didn't know much about them, which wasn't very encouraging. But he knew what he knew, and he couldn't in good conscience not tell her. So after a ghosting-through-the-kitchen type dinner, he went knocking on her door.

Kaysen was in there. She'd seen Chance earlier, and was wondering when their dad was going to be getting back from the hospital, and sort of half wondering if she was even caring anymore about her homework. Like at large, really. Was school really that important when they had this kind of shit to worry about? Honestly now. When there was a knock on her door, she glanced over. "Come in." she said.

Oh you're that guy.

standing distant look

Who: Isaac and Geo
Where: Near the Marshes' house
When: afternoonish

Fugazi safely deposited at home, Geo spent...quite a while, actually, prowling around town, making sure that - if the dog had been an excuse to catch up with him - he wasn't followed. And that if he was, whoever was following would be horribly bored. But after two hours where no homicidal maniacs popped out of bushes, or attempted to take his head off, he felt safe enough to go prowling through town.

The other stalking figures were also gone. He hadn't seen a shadow since dawn. Not that he minded, of course - quite the opposite. Maybe now people would stop going around with slashes random places. Hell, maybe now people would stop dying. His duster flapped behind him as he trudged heedlessly through puddles, blinking water out of his good eye. Rain. Figured.

He paced down the street Peyton's house was on, resolving to just make sure everything sounded right before he left. No good hanging around with who-knows-who watching.

Where: Osbourne Residence
When: mid morning

It was clear by mid-morning that the shadows were gone, which really - Billy couldn't be happier about. He was packed within minutes - though, seriously, they didn't have much to 'pack', they'd got down here in such a hurry. Mostly, they'd just been borrowing clothes. But, Maddie and Billy were all ready to get out of here, the dreamwalker just had one thing to do first.

He found Thia in her room, cleaning up as best she could and Billy stepped across the threshold, pushing the ruined door a little more open and running a finger round inside the hole by the door, whistling. "Really did a number on this place, didn't he," he commented, loud enough for Thia to hear him.

The whistle got her attention, and she looked round, smiling a bit. "Yeah. But that one might've been my fault, I kinda sorta pulled him back because there was one coming up behind him and he had to do this action-movie thing where he shot when he was falling back and while really neat, it did in fact, mess up the door." she explained. "But he possibly could have avoided the door had I done something sensible like say 'hey, Dean, there's a shadow behind you'." she finished, dropping another bit of glass into the paper bag she was filling. "You guys taking off?" she asked.

Caleb shoved the packages containing the ID's he'd gotten for Dean beneath the front passenger's side seat, already hitting the speed dial for Dean. He leaned back in said seat, one foot down on the cement floor of the garage, and he was going through his bag to make sure he had what he figured he'd need. Not that that was a whole lot. His other foot bounced on it's own in impatience, as he shoved the keys in the ignition for Dean to find as he waited for an answer from his friend.

"Hiya," Dean said as he clicked connect, leaning slightly on the broom Sophie had given him, with orders to go start cleaning the glass up in the hall now that it seemed clear that the shadows were gone. "How're you? Okay, I hope?" he added, though he was still confident that Caleb would have been just fine.

Natalya had promised Doc she'd think over what he'd told her that night, but she hadn't anticipated that it would be all she'd be able to think about. Not that it had done her any good, because she hadn't come to a single conclusion or decision. Part of it was the chaos that had continued to spawn around them throughout the following day and night, and part of it was the fact that Natalya felt as though she were thinking herself in circles. Needless to say, she was nearly ecstatic to learn that the danger had passed and it was safe to go home. She needed the peace and solitude of the little place she'd carved out for herself on the lakeshore. She'd spent too long around too many people; she was still unsettled.

She was quiet on the cab ride home, grateful when they pulled up and she could go inside. With a small smile for Kurt, she took their bag into the bedroom to start unpacking.

Brian was, at that moment, just finishing up washing dishes from cooking, breakfast, lunch, and Hunt's lunch. Well, and from the past few days when he'd really not been up for, nor in the mood for, washing dishes. They'd piled up in the sink, and he hated that. Someday he'd have to get a dishwasher. He picked up a towel before he picked up the phone, drying off his hands and catching the phone on the third ring. "'lo?"
