strange town

I've met new people a lot lately. I'm still getting a feel for this town, and the more people I meet, the more I think it's more fucked up than it first appears. I met a girl, Poppy, who I had a very off conversation with. I'll probably see her around because the town is so small, but I'm not sure I'll go out of my way to talk to her again. I'll have to see.

I met a couple of nicer people though too. Amber I met at lower harbor park. She seems nice. Really normal, has lived here her whole life, apparently. We talked for a little while, she said she wanted to go into student government, and said she'd loan me her library card if I wanted to go get books. Which is really nice of her, if a little trusting. Not that I'll do anything like keep or trash them, it's just...not something anyone would have done back home. She gave me her number and email address. Makes me wonder if the parents gave Dorian any kind of money to pay for me, and if any of that could go towards a laptop or something. I'm still not quite sure how I got her number and everything, I didn't ask for it. She just sort of...randomly handed it to me. And I'll probably call. If for no other reason she seems nice and like she wouldn't get me into trouble, which I've been in enough of lately.

Then, after I was done talking to her I was finishing my walk, and got myself sidetracked into highschool fucking social politics, and I'm not sure how I managed that. I came across a group of girls, and one of them tried to hit on me...Chrissy, I guess. We're talking I sort of felt like I needed to bathe after being within breathing distance. She was a bitch, too. Her friend, Jamie, she stepped up and attempted to help me out, I guess. Trouble was she kept talking to me when she was giving me an out, and I'm not really going to just ignore the shit out of her and take off to brush off her friend. Chrissy decided to claw her arm though. Which I took issue with.

About then, however, Journey showed up, some other poor son of a bitch that Chrissy went to paw. I talked to Jamie for a second there. She does seem nice. As in far too good for the slut bitch Chrissy. Journey says she's just masochistic or trying to save Chrissy from herself or something, but I don't know. I thought about going back for her, but Journey said it'd be a waste of time. Whatever. Moving on.

Journey I bailed out of the Chrissy situation, and he seems alright. Possibly a little overzealous, but not an asshole, so that's something, I guess. He's someone else who's from here. And again, I think I got dragged into fucking stupid highschool social order bullshit. I'm told that Chrissy's queen bee, and I'm probably not her favorite person now. And that she tends to go after people through their friends.

If she tries it with me, she will not be continuing along as is. Maybe other people have been happy to let her pull that shit, but she's got another thing coming if she thinks she'll be getting away with it with me. I don't know for sure if Ten is going to school when it starts, but if she goes anywhere near her to try and hurt her? In any sort of way?

It won't be pretty.

I do my level best to make sure I don't hurt her. No way in hell am I going to stand by and let someone else.
