Who: Kavin and Nate
When: Devil's night - evening
Where: Kavin's place
Warnings: NSFW

Of course the best thing to do when upset was drinking and driving - Nate thought bitterly to himself as he parked the car outside Kavin's house. Using the phone would probably have been more convenient but anger and rationale didn't often go hand in hand. Nor did worry and rationale and right now Nate wasn't sure which emotion was stronger.

He took a big swig from the bottle of Vodka before getting out of the car and strolling up to the house, wincing from the afterburn. It didn't occur to him that Jeri might be there until he'd knocked and he groaned quietly. Girlfriends he could not deal with right now, not when he needed to talk to Kavin.

Lucky for Nate, Jeri wasn't there. Kavin had dropped her off at work before going to Gabe's. Normally he would have picked her up already, but she decided to hang out with a friend playing video games. When the knock came, he raised a brow, not expecting any company. Opening the door to an obviously tipsy - and still drinking - Nate, he glanced towards the drive. A car. His car. He was driving and drinking. "Get your stupid ass in the house." he told him, reaching for the bottle as he let the boy in.

"My stupid ass?" Nate asked indignantly. "Oh so now it's my fault? Yeah, fuck it probably is. So you talked to him already?" He stepped inside and let Kavin take the bottle, thinking he just wanted a sip or something and he wasn't about to be holding out on him. "This is such a fucking mess but I seriously don't need you pointing a finger at me too."

Kavin shut the door and locked it with a sigh and a large gulp because if he was dealing with drunken and obviously unhappy Nate, he was going to need it. "Yes, I talked to him." he muttered. "And I'm not pointing the finger at anyone. I've had my chewing out for the day. I'd like not to fight with you too if I can help it."

"Didn't come here to fight," Nate said and poked him in the shoulder before sauntering inside. "You're the one who called me stupid, yeah? So that one's on you. Anyway..." He had a cigarette in his mouth by the time he turned around again to face Kavin. "I need to know what the hell you guys talked about and... I thought you guys were friends."

"I called you stupid for driving and drinking, stupid." he told him, jiggling the bottle a little. "And I'm not even supposed to say anything because he's all pissed and I thought we were friends, but apparently since I'm a hunter, he can't trust me. And ya know, maybe that's better, at least he knows not to trust hunters, but honestly, I'm not the hunter he needs to be worrying about."

Nate scoffed softly. "Driving is like second nature to me," he explained nonchalantly. "And it's not even like I'm drunk." He shook his head and headed on over to the sofa, flopping down miserably. "Is he always such a stupid, stubborn ass? Gabe, I mean. He fucking hung up on me twice."

Kavin sighed and plopped himself down beside Nate, holding the bottle on his lap and shrugging. "He's going through a lot and god I was so fucking pissed at him. I'm trying to help and I end up feeling like the dick in the end. It's fucking aggravating. I don't know what the fuck I'm supposed to do and nothing I could say made it any better. Most of the shit I said just made it worse. I didn't know you weren't supposed to tell me. Fuck."

"Yeah it was fucking stupid," Nate said quietly, letting his head fall back against the sofa. "So was this all about you being a hunter or did you say something to set him off?" He tilted his head to the side to look at Kavin curiously.

"The minute I said hunter he said 'get out now'. So I think that had a lot to do with it." he sighed. "Fuck I don't know. I'm not even supposed to say anything about anything to anyone I guess." he muttered. "I probably shouldn't even be opening my mouth now. Something always comes back to bite me in the ass. Remind me again why I was trying to help? He told me he had people he could trust and that he didn't trust hunters or something. And then we kinda argued some more and I tried to calm down and just... fix shit and he asked if I was fucking bipolar and shit." he muttered. "By the end of it he just said that he'd call if he needed help building a cage or something. I was too pissed to remember everything in detail."

"Okay," Nate sighed. "He's an idiot or he's in shock or both. An idiot in shock - not a good combo. I'm giving him until tomorrow and then I'm going to try to talk to him again." He grabbed the bottle from Kavin and drank some more, then winced and gave it back. "Have any coke? This shit isn't getting any better." Despite it being a question, he was already up and moving to the kitchen, what little boundaries were left between them gone with the booze for now. He returned with coke for both of them and slumped down in the sofa, drinking a bit from his can before stealing the bottle back and adding Vodka to the coke that remained. It spilled a bit so he licked the side of the can with another wince before drinking more.

"Do you always drink when you're upset?" he questioned as he watched Nate pour the liquor into the can. "I really doubt that wasted and pissed off are a good combination either." he pointed out. "And you do realize that I'm totally either dropping you off or forcing your ass to stay here 'til you sober up right?" The last thing he wanted was a dead friend to add to everything else that was going on at the moment. He planned on avoiding dead Nate.

"Shut up," Nate said with a grimace, really not in the mood to listen to some lecture on how he was abusing substances. He knew he god damn was, had pretty much been on that road since he realized it made him stop dreamwalking for the most part. "Want some?" He added. "I'm not an angry drunk, mellows me out if anything."

"Well make with the mellowing out." Kavin said. "I have to pick up Jeri later so I probably shouldn't be drinking." he shrugged, though he did take the bottle from Nate, setting it on the table in front of him long enough to pop the top of his coke can and gulp down a bit, replacing the liquid with the liquor. Again the bottle was put on the coffee table and he swirled the can a bit in his hand, mixing the contents up. He let out a sigh and shook his head. "I shouldn't have said anything." he muttered. "Maybe if I hadn't gone over there, he wouldn't be pissed off. No, I know if I hadn't gone over there, he wouldn't be pissed. Everything would be just perfect. I guess I have a knack for fucking things up." And damn if he wasn't emo tonight.

"Yeah well, I should have waited with telling you and just checked out the lay of the land or whatever," Nate muttered. "But seriously, he's pissed you're a hunter? But if you were that kind of a hunter he'd be fucking dead by now. I just want to shake him." He didn't sound all that riled up anymore though, just frustrated, sulky. "He won't tell me who the hell he's been talking to either, I mean, how the hell does he know he can trust them?"

Kavin shrugged. "I don't know." he sighed. "I just hope he can trust whoever it is. But see, I'm not mad that he doesn't trust me because I'm a hunter. I'm pissed because I don't want him to get hurt or fucking killed by something or someone or worse have him end up killing someone." he leaned back against the cushion of the couch. "It's not your fault he's freaking out." he told Nate. "I don't even think I can blame him for that. His ex just fucking got killed by the same thing he got bit by and is going to turn into come the next full moon. I'd say that's some pretty heavy shit to be going through all at once. Not counting finding out that one of his friends happens to fucking hunt those things."

"I just fucking feel responsible," Nate said and slumped down in his seat. "I knew they were out there, or suspected, and I still let him walk up to the house alone. What the fuck was I thinking? Was I thinking? And now he doesn't want my help but I fucking need to give it to him because... Well, I need to fix this shit." But how did you fix something that was broken beyond repair? He sighed deeply and drank more, frowning as he glared at the coffee table in front of him.

He bit his bottom lip as he listened to Nate talk. "If you think you can blame yourself... I could blame myself for it ten times more. I could have told him what was out there when he was here. I could have told you guys not to leave the house. Could have done something more than what I did. I could have left sooner and found Chrissy before the werewolf did..." Kavin stopped after that statement. The formerly unmentioned guilt bubbling up and spilling over from where he'd kept it hidden until that moment. "It's nobody's fault and if he doesn't come to his senses in the next couple of days I'm just gonna talk to his mom and see if I can build the fucking cage with her permission if he doesn't wanna talk to me. He can use it or not, but I can't just fucking sit around and do jack shit."

"Dude," Nate said without looking at him. "Why would you have gone out to find Chrissy? And why would you tell us? You knew I knew so why would you need to? I was there and I thought about walking with him to make sure he was okay but then I thought it looked fucking clear." He shook his head and then snorted with bemusement. "I said it looked clear. How does it look now? Looks clear." He couldn't help but quote that movie, a wry smile curling his lips. "Should know better than to trust the way things look."

"I wouldn't have gone looking for Chrissy." he explained, but if I would have come to the park sooner... maybe I would have gotten there before it was too late. Before it bit her. Before it attacked her.. Before it... killed her." he muttered, shaking his head. Normally he would have smiled, maybe even laughed at the quote from the movie. Maybe just laughed at the little smile upon the other boys face, but for some reason he couldn't seem to force his lips to move that way at the moment. "Too fucking late to change any fucking thing now." he sighed. "Now we just gotta figure out what the fuck we're supposed to do now.."

"I need to fucking fix this," Nate said. He'd been ready to hammer it in that the what ifs of Kavin's made no sense since he didn't actually fuck anything up like Nate had, but Kavin was right. There was nothing to be gained from bitching about the what ifs either way. "I swear to God if he doesn't fucking talk to me tomorrow I'll... build a cage and lock him in there until he listens."

That, even if it had been meant completely seriously, had Kavin trying - and failing - at holding back a laugh. "I think that sounds like a good idea, honestly." he said through a little chuckle. "At least he couldn't make us get out." he shrugged. "He didn't seem quite as pissed at me when I left. I mean, he did say he'd call me when he needed to build a cage or whatever. He said he was pissed because I was forcing my help down his throat or something. And I know I'm a dick when I'm pissed so I probably was. He said he'd rather ask for it than have it forced at him. Or something..."

"Yeah well, we're not just thinking about him," Nate pointed out irritably. "Kinda also thinking about oh say, his mom not getting eaten by him when he loses his shit? Fucking hell." He was comfortably buzzed by now so there wasn't as much venom behind those words as there might have been earlier and he somewhat realized that he was more angry at himself than Gabe. Hell, he couldn't blame Gabe for being furious, he'd possibly be freaking out even worse if he was the one in his situation.

"I tried to explain that but I don't think it came across the way I wanted it to. He was pissed and I was pissed because he was pissed when I was trying to help so I got defensive and that just got his panties all in a bunch and things escalated. I think he wanted to punch me in the face. And then he said he didn't trust hunters, namely me. So that pissed me off more and I made it worse by telling him if I wanted him dead, he would already be dead. I'm a dumb ass."

"Well it's true though," Nate pointed out with furrowed brows and lips pursed to the side stubbornly. "If you wanted him dead he would be dead so that alone should be token of trust or whatever. So, let's just hope he untwists his panties by sleeping on it or something."

"That's what I was trying to do." he sighed. Trying to let him know that I wouldn't kill him because I could've done it already." Kavin groaned and shook his head, pushing his hair away from his face with one hand and sipping from his coke can. "I should have kept my mouth shut or tried approaching it differently or fucking something. But fuck that. Let him sleep on it. Let him think about it and if he doesn't want to talk to me, fine, but he needs to talk to someone."

"Maybe he'll change his mind when he hears about our awesome roadtrip plans," Nate sighed, the thought not managing to cheer him up much. "Fuck," he sighed and glanced at the ashtray where he'd put his cigarette and forgotten all about it. "I was gonna smoke that." Oh well, he lit up a new one, sinking down in the sofa until he could rest his head against it. "Is shit ever gonna be not complicated and messed up?"

"No." Kavin said, deadpan. "And ya know. We should just go get the cage shit anyway. We don't have to have Gabe to do it." he pointed out. "If he saw that we thought he needed help bad enough to do it even with him pissed off, maybe he'd understand." he shrugged. "Or he'd hate us even more than he does right now, but either way we'd have a were-cell."

"And hey, plenty of weres around so if he doesn't want it we could still use it," Nate said flippantly but sank back into sulk mode almost right away. "A roadtrip would be good either way, I'm just fucking sick of shit right now."

Kavin nodded. "I'm sick of shit too." he agreed easily. "Maybe we should get away from everything. Get away from the bullshit. Get away from everything."

"Yeah, if only it was that easy," Nate mumbled a little defeatedly. He was pretty sure he just wanted a vacation from himself at the moment and belatedly realized it was obviously that time again where he slumped down into some miserable depression phase. Hadn't he been sleeping a lot lately? Stupid shit.

"Cheer up, fucker." Kavin told him. "I was in a shitty enough mood without you being all emo. God, get a dress." he teased, giving Nate a little nudge in the arm with his elbow and a tiny little flicker of a smile.

Nate raised his hand and gave him the finger but a small smile curled his lips anyway. "You're so fucking obsessed with me being a girl," he muttered, shaking his head. "Want to bone me that much, huh?"

"Yes." Kavin said with a shrug. Teasing, though it wasn't noticeable in his voice. He'd sounded completely serious. Maybe just to get a rise, or a blush out of the boy. Or maybe just to up his ego so he wasn't so emo. One or the other.

"No argument this time?" Nate asked, looking at him with arched brows. "Man you've got it bad. I thought I was fucked but you're just... Yeah, you need help or something. Drink more." At least he was grinning now, it was familiar territory, the banter and the sexual innuendo. Much better than being mopey.

Kavin rolled his eyes and took a sip from the coke can his fingers were wrapped around. "I don't really want to fuck you." he told him. "And you wouldn't have to be a girl, technically, for me to fuck you, though that's besides the point. Just figured an ego boost would do wonders for you." he teased. "And by the grin on your face, I'd say you're more into the idea that I could have ever been."

"Fuck you," Nate said without any real spite. "I'm just amused you so willingly admitted to it. I don't want you to fuck me, I'm not into that shit." He took a deep drag of his cigarette and tilted his head back again. "Kissing however... That's fine. I'm totally down with you kissing me."

A brow arched beneath shaggy hair as Kavin looked over at Nate. "What else are you 'totally down with'?" he questioned, curious now since Nate had admitted that much. "And see, are you totally down with it only when you're drunk or is that an invitation for whenever I find a spare moment and there aren't people around us?"

Nate laughed. "Why, you want to kiss me all the time or something?" He asked, turning his head to look at Kavin before leaning forward and stubbing out his cigarette. "Open invitation," he murmured, a small hint of challenge in his voice.

Kavin smirked at him, then shrugged. He heard the challenge and wanted to kiss the boy, but then he thought about Jeri. Then he thought some more about kissing Nate. He'd already done it while he'd been dating Jeri, so one more kiss wasn't gonna hurt anything. He leaned over and caught Nate's chin with his fingertips and pressed a light kiss against his lips. "You didn't answer my question." he murmured as he pulled a little bit away.

Nate leaned after him when he pulled away but then Kavin was speaking and he tilted his head back. "I didn't?" He asked and he didn't want to. Kissing seemed like a good way to forget everything. "Does it matter?"

"I wouldn't have asked if it didn't matter." Kavin told him. He didn't lean back any further away from the boy. He bit his lower lip and let his blue eyes stay fixed on Nate's darker ones.

"I don't know," Nate said with a small shrug. "Why, what are you?" He asked, feeling a little sulky again now that Kavin had pulled away. He knew it was probably the drink for the most part that drove him to be like this but he didn't care.

Kavin shrugged a little. "Not sure." he told him. "Haven't done anything but kissing with you." He honestly wasn't sure what he might be okay with and what he might not. He supposed the only way to really know was try different things and figure out the ones he could handle, but he didn't voice that theory.

"Think kissing's fine for now," Nate told him and tilted his head back again, resting it against the back of the sofa. "Beats talking."

He nodded and shifted back a little. "Yeah." he agreed. "Beats talking." he agreed. He contemplated going in for another kiss but wasn't sure if Nate wanted him to since he leaned back, but then again he said that kissing beat talking, so maybe he did. He didn't just yet, and leaned his own head back against the couch, but he kept his eyes fixed on Nate's face.

Nate watched him and when he grew impatient he reached over just a little clumsily and fisted his hand in Kavin's shirt, pulling him closer. "Beats talking," he murmured again, leaning in and kissing him again. It wasn't much, a chaste kiss that lasted longer than a chaste kiss should.

Fingers were on his shirt before he could think about whether or not to kiss the boy again. And then lips were against his and his eyes closed instantly, a hand sliding up the front of his friend's shirt and across his neck, into the hair at the back of his head. Kavin latched his fingers there as he tilted his head and kissed him again, lips still not parting just yet, just liking the feel of his lips pressed against Nate's.

It was oddly soothing, just kissing like that, Kavin's warm hand on his head and that feeling of no pressure or commitment to weigh him down. Nate loosened his hold on Kavin's shirt, trailing his hand up to rest on his neck instead.

And that was nice. Warm fingers against his neck. Finally he let his lips part, but not to shove his tongue down the boy's throat, instead he just caught Nate's bottom lip between them and sucked lightly on the tender bit of flesh. That was nice too. He tasted like a mixture of coke, vodka and cigarettes, but it was oddly intoxicating.

It was kind of weird how Nate felt like he could just do this for hours on regular basis. Just chill on Kavin's sofa and kiss the hell out of his friend. He was beginning to miss that closeness and it occurred to him he hadn't had sex in way too long. Which made him think of Leija. Leija and Kavin and Cassandra and Nic, all in a chaotic storm of thoughts of things he wanted but didn't want. He pushed those thoughts away the best he could, focused on the lips against his own, on Kavin's warm breath against his skin, the way he tasted when Nate darted his tongue out to coax him into deepening the kiss.

It didn't take too much coaxing for Kavin to part his lips further, tilt his head again, this time in the opposite direction, and let his tongue slip past Nate's lips. His mouth was warm and the kiss was nice and damn he could keep doing this for hours if he let himself. At the moment he didn't have anywhere to be, so he just kept kissing him, tongue moving against Nate's dueling for the upper hand in the kiss.

While he kept one hand on Kavin's neck, his other trailed down and gently nudged his T-shirt aside to brush over the bare skin below, resting there on his flank as they kissed. There were people out there who said nobody was truly bi but Nate was just getting more and more sure that he was. For one, he liked the way girls' bodies were soft as much as he liked how Kavin's body wasn't.

Kavin did the same, practically copying Nate's movements exactly. His hand slid to the hem of the shirt he wore and pushed it upwards, dipping fingertips below it to brush across Nate's stomach and outwards a little towards his side. The same thing was going through his head as was through Nate's. He liked that Jeri was soft beneath his fingertips, but he also liked the bit of hardness he felt as his hand pressed against Nate's body.

It definitely wasn't like the first time they kissed, for Nate at least. He didn't feel like it was scary and desperate as it somewhat had been that time where he'd felt the need to stop before it got to be too much. This was different, like drawing comfort from Kavin's presence, forgetting himself for a short while. He grinned faintly against Kavin's lips before pulling back only to turn his head again and pull him in for another bout of deep kissing.

His eyes caught Nate's when he pulled back for that half second. He'd caught that little smile against his mouth as well. He wasn't sure why he was smiling, but if it was because he was kissing him then he wasn't going to stop. Kissing he could do. Happy Nate was loads better than sulky Nate, and there was the tiny fact that kissing him was awesome.

Nate lost track of time, it was too easy to when he felt safe and found it easy to forget everything going on. He was the one who broke the kiss though, after who knew how long. He didn't break the contact though, resting his head on Kavin's shoulder and pressing his nose against his neck. "I keep leading you astray, don't I," he whispered, both hands around Kavin's waist now, one above his shirt the other still under it.

Kavin bit his bottom lip when Nate said that. His heart thudding against his chest and his breathing just slightly faster than normal. Nate's breath was warm against his neck and his fingers were warm against his skin. And then there was Jeri. Jeri who probably wouldn't approve of what he was doing. But also, Jeri who had no idea what he was doing. "Guess you're good for that, huh?" he whispered back.

Nate exhaled through his nose in some sort of makeshift laughter, then hugged Kavin tightly for a moment. "I like this," he whispered, raising his head again and resting his forehead against Kavin's. "Just... as is, no strings, no bullshit. Yeah?"

Blue eyes stayed fixed on brown ones and he half-nodded, a tiny little up and down movement without having to pull away from him. "Just making out whenever?" he said with a flicker of a smile on his face.

Nate couldn't help but laugh at that, it seemed so... ridiculous somehow. But yes, he wanted that, wanted that small amount of closeness without all the hangups and freaking out about getting too close and... He was probably being a hypocrite, considering Kavin had a girlfriend but he just couldn't seem to care. "Make out whenever," he said with a one shouldered shrug, leaning in to seal that with a tiny kiss.

Kavin smiled a little against Nate's lips and once he'd pulled away again he nodded. Well, it wasn't like he was out banging a bunch of chicks. He was kissing someone. Actors did it all the time when they were married. They went out and made out with some random chick and their significant others never got pissed off. Or maybe they did but for the sake of the argument in his head, they didn't. Of course those people that those actors made out with probably didn't have any feelings invested. Nate on the other hand, had plenty of Kavin's feelings invested in him though he'd probably never admit that out loud. His fingertips brushed a bit further up beneath Nate's shirt, sliding up his side a couple of inches. He was warm and he felt good, he couldn't just let his hand sit idle now could he?

Sulky drunkeness was quickly turning into a happy buzz and Nate grinned contently at the little touches. He mirrored Kavin's movements, brushing his thumb over bare skin, wanting to take this further while at the same time not wanting to at all. And wasn't that just how he got if he got over indifference - confused and undecided.

He bit his bottom lip through a little grin. Partly because Nate was smiling and it was contagious and partly because he wondered if he'd mimic everything he did. His other hand slid beneath the boys shirt on the opposite side of his body, slowly gliding up til it was parallel with the other.

Nate did follow suit but this time it was intentional and he laughed quietly before running his hand up to Kavin's back, brushing his fingers over his spine. "You're so going to use this against me," he joked, rubbing his nose against Kavin's cheek.

"Not anymore than you'll use it against me." he responded. He wanted to keep touching him but he didn't know how much he could get away with before Nate would pull away or freak out. His fingers slid downwards and traced along the line of the boys jeans, his tongue lightly brushing over his own bottom lip as he swallowed air.

Nate wanted to ask if Kavin was going to pick up Jeri later but that involved mentioning her and that just didn't seem all that right when locking lips with her boyfriend. This just had so much potential to blow up in their faces but none of it seemed all that important at the moment.

He would have to pick up Jeri, but not 'till she called. Which meant he could keep doing what he was doing right up til the moment the phone rang. He decided to be a little daring, and perhaps shock Nate at the same time. His fingertips curled beneath the waist line of Nate's jeans. Just to the knuckle, but still fingers in his pants, against that warm skin, beneath the waistband of his boxers and flush against skin. He couldn't believe what he was doing but at the same time didn't want to stop.

Nate's breath hitched a little and this was definitely breaking the rules of no below waist stuff. Not that he minded but he was definitely surprised. Of course it didn't mean it would go further he reminded himself, though his body was all too happy to get overly excited against his better judgment.

Kavin just watched the boy, liking the way his breath caught like that. Again he bit his bottom lip, leaving that hand there as the other slid down enough to catch the hem of Nate's shirt, tugging him forward again to kiss him.

Nate happily got into that kiss, his hands smoothing slowly over Kavin's bare skin. He couldn't shake the thought of where Kavin's hand was though and that thought was beginning to dominate his thought process altogether.

He let out a little moan of a noise against Nate's lips. Kissing was good. Kissing was real good. His mind too, however, was on his hand. Hooked into the waistband of both Nate's boxers and jeans. So close to crossing that border but not sure if he wanted to. Or if Nate wanted him to for that matter. He hadn't made him move those fingers though. That just confused him more. But confusion was fine for now.

The part of Nate's brain that told him things were bad ideas had packed up and gone on vacation - at least that was what it felt like. His body was basically going hell yeah and he very nearly moved to urge Kavin to do something. That sound Kavin made didn't help with that at all, it went straight to his core, stirring up all sorts of feelings.

Kavin didn't move his hand too much, but he did shift it. Enough to let his palm press against the boys jeans, right along the zipper. Another little sound spilled forth from his lips against Nate's.

With that little shift there was no way he didn't notice how hard Nate was by now which was in turn mortifying and thrilling as Nate wondered just what he'd do about it - if anything. Either way his hand was there now and it didn't feel like stepping back was easy this time.

Kavin felt it. It was hard not to. It was a rush and an ego boost all at the same time. The fact that he shouldn't be doing what he was, coupled with the fact that Nate apparently really liked what he was doing was thrilling and terrifying. He bit Nate's lower lip and gave it a little tug, his eyes flicking open in hopes to catch Nate's eyes maybe for some direction.

Nate's breathing was deeper, heavier, and he opened his eyes a little when he felt Kavin's teeth again. Meeting Kavin's eyes made him flush just a bit, it had been stupid to think he could just stick to kissing as if kissing didn't turn up the dials on his hormones and lead somewhere else. As far as guidance, he looked as lost as Kavin felt. He knew he wanted this, he just wasn't entirely sure what thiswas.

Kavin swallowed air as he released Nate's lip from between his teeth. Eyes focused on the boys eyes and then his slightly pinkish cheeks. He didn't really need to be embarrassed, Kavin was just as hard beneath his own jeans as Nate was, though he couldn't exactly know that since his hand wasn't on Kavin's crotch. He shifted his hand a bit, pressing slightly harder against the bulge in the denim with the heel of his hand. He didn't kiss him again just yet. He was too busy reading his face.

"You're staring," Nate said with a kind of uncomfortable laugh that was supposed to come off as relaxed and he leaned in to brush his lips against Kavin's neck, more to hide from that searching look than anything else. Every breath felt a little shuddered now and he suddenly felt very sober.

"Because I have no fucking clue what I'm doing." Kavin said with a little laugh of his own. He didn't move his hand away, just left it where it was, pressing against that hardness beneath his palm, fingers still latched there just above the button. "You were blushing." he pointed out, mostly to make that color deepen.

"No I wasn't," Nate scoffed even as he felt his face heat up more and he felt like thwacking Kavin on the side of the head for making him do that. "Well... what would you do if it was yours?" He asked boldly and he could swear he could tell that that was the exact moment his heart sped up and started on the double.

Kavin bit his lip and felt his own face heat up. "This." he whispered as he shifted his hand enough to pop the button loose at the top of Nate's jeans. "For starters at least."

Nate's stomach did a tumble and he tensed, hands stilled on Kavin's flanks. "Go on," he whispered urgingly. As if he was just curious about what he'd do next and not desperate for more.

His tongue brushed over his lower lip and he swallowed, fingertips finding the zipper and sliding it down. "Then that." he said in a hushed tone.

Nate's heart was beating out of his damn chest by now and the zipper sounded so loud in the quiet of the living room. "Yeah?" He whispered, still urging.

Kavin's heart thudded in his ears and he swallowed again, eyes closing partly out of fear of being halted, partly out of the thrill and rush that went along with what he was doing. His fingers shifted to brush across Nate through his boxers, teasingly at first. "If it was mine..." he said, unable to hold back the joke that had bubbled up. "It'd be bigger." He didn't give Nate a chance to be pissed. "Kidding. Seriously." he promised. "Relax."

Nate almost told him to fuck off but Kavin's hand was there and it felt crazy good and it had just been a stupid joke so he let it slide. Instead he brushed his lips again over Kavin's neck and his earlobe, trying to keep his breathing easy.

He dipped his head to the side, finding Nate's neck beneath his lips easily and kissing along his jawline until he could find the boys lips once more. Once he had, he pushed his tongue past Nate's lips just as his fingers shifted that little button in the front of the boxers loose and let his hand wrap around the boy, skin on skin.

Nate moaned quietly into the kiss, his body tensing a bit as someone else fucking touched him for a change. He was suddenly aware of how incredibly lame he was being, not doing a damn thing in turn but he didn't care, not right now. He just wanted to feel this and keep kissing Kavin. He could take care of him later... somehow.

That thought hadn't even crossed Kavin's mind at that point. He tightened his grip slightly on the boy and gave him one slow stroke up and then back down again. The moan was a good sign. It had to have been. And if just touching him had gotten that, a stroke might get a little more.

Nate's mind was racing and he was way ahead of himself. If Kavin was up to using his hand, what else was he willing to do? That thought just brought up a whole slew of images that sent feelings of tensity and warmth spreading through him. The only guy he'd been with before had used his mouth and holy fuck if he could have that again he could die happy. He shifted to get more comfortable, stroking Kavin's hand in encouragement as he kissed him with added fervor.

Kavin wasn't sure what all he was willing to do, but he could handle this. Could handle his fingers wrapped around the other boy. Could handle the kissing, Nate's hand on his. He picked up a pace, a slow one to start out, stroking up and back down again. Pausing and doing the same once more.

Nate should have just felt great but he couldn't help but feel a little vulnerable too, being the only one with his pants down so to speak. He let go of Kavin's hand and moved to return the favor, popping the buttons loose a bit hurriedly.

He couldn't help but let out a little gasp of both sheer terror and maybe a little bit of excitement mixed in against Nate's lips. Oh. My. God. He's unbuttoning my pants and... just oh my god. Kavin thought. He was fully hard at this point, how could he not be with the way Nate was kissing and the crazy, confusing excitement of it all.

This was probably the worst place to do this - the sofa - and it was bound to get messy as hell but that was a fleeting thought that was gone as soon as it popped up. Nate's fingers had found what they were looking for and they wrapped around Kavin, giving him a few experimental tugs.

Kavin couldn't help it. He wanted to look. He was a very visual person, so a murmured 'Oh fuck.' fled past his lips and he moved his mouth away from Nate's. His head shifted back enough for him to glance down at Nate's fingers wrapped around him, jerking him. And damn was that sexy. Hands that weren't his touching him like that.

Nate couldn't help but laugh, whether it was out of sheer nervousness or the fact it was a somewhat amusin reaction - even if it kind of echoed his own sentiment. He ducked his head self consciously and leaned in, licking Kavin's earlobe gently.

And that was nice. That little lick, Nate's warm breath against his skin, his hand doing a damn fine job of what it was doing. He let out a little groan of pleasure, biting his bottom lip halfway through the noise. His own hand mimicked Nate's movements, picking up the same rhythm. Matching him stroke for stroke.

Nate shifted again because he really was in an awkward position there and he kind of wished they could just be on a bed or something, though that automatically made him think of the situation as something far more heavy than it was. He knelt in front of Kavin without breaking contact, nipping lightly on his ear as he moved his hand in a way he wanted Kavin's hand to move - and wasn't that just weird, like being some sort of a surreal sexual puppet master.

Kavin tried to deal with his own awkward position for a few moments longer as he continued to follow along with those movements Nate made against him. And damn were they good little pleasure producing movements. Finally he ended up mimicking Nate's position too and kneeling the same way. "I think you're making the couch jealous..." he murmured in a whisper against Nate's ear. "You really shouldn't be doing this in front of her." His voice was husky and low with arousal and a little moan escaped as if to punctuate his sentence.

Nate's laugh was half moan and he closed his eyes, still grinning faintly. "Shut up," he whispered, though he didn't mind Kavin's voice, if only he wasn't joking about something. "If you wanna talk shit, do it in a language I don't understand," he added teasingly.

He smirked a little at that, letting his lips brush lightly against the boys ear. "Fine..." he whispered. "Votre bite est tellement dur." French poured from his lips like sticky sweet honey. "Oh... that's right, you're into the Russian." he chuckled. "ваш петух так трудно." He smirked a little against the boy's skin as his lips slid across his neck.

Nate grinned again, tightening his grip on him. "If you're going to get me off to something totally uncool, I'll seek revenge, you know?" He whispered, bucking into Kavin's hand, slowly building up to release.

"It's not something totally uncool." he whispered, liking that Nate was bucking against his hand. "All I said was 'your cock is so hard'." he murmured, trailing his lips slowly back up the boys neck to his ear. "Now... is that totally uncool?"

"No," Nate had to murmur, catching Kavin's lips in another kiss. "Say it again," he whispered a bit cheekily, nipping on Kavin's bottom lip.

"Mmm... which language?" he whispered. He didn't wait for an answer, merely said the same sentence in all three of his fluent languages and smirked. "See what you do to me?" he whispered against the boys lips. "Got me repeating myself and everything."

Nate didn't answer, ducking his head against Kavin's neck again and stroking him more firmly since that was what he wanted. So close, so damn close and Kavin could talk all he want if it wasn't in English.

Kavin was just as close as Nate was and the firmer strokes were a right fine way to get to that edge. He did the same, copying the firmness and picking up his pace just a bit. "Я так чертовски близко." he murmured out. He assumed the boy should know what he'd said so he translated immediately. "I'm so fucking close." he whispered.

"Uh-huh," was Nate's oh so insightful answer to that and a moment later he moaned softly, arching against Kavin and making a mess of his hand and his T-shirt. Because thinking ahead while horny was just rare. "Fuck," he hissed softly, but didn't still his hand.

He couldn't help but think that the next time - if there was one, and knowing the way he and Nate just couldn't seem to reel themselves in, there would be - that they needed to be shirtless, to avoid messes of course. Okay, and maybe because Nate was probably hot as fuck shirtless. The stickiness on his fingertips didn't stop him from giving a few more little pumps to the other boy, knowing that he was probably tender and tingling. And then before he could get out any more of a warning than a strangled groan and a hitched gasp, he was spent. He would have probably teased Nate for making a mess of his shirt, if he hadn't done the same to his own. His fingers finally stilled around the other boy and his cock twitched in the aftershocks. "Fuck." he murmured, lips seeking out Nate's.

The kiss was no less hungry than before they came and Nate put whatever he had left into it, breathing hard against Kavin's lips and keeping his hand still around Kavin's erection, only his thumb moving to rub over that slick fluid. "Fuck," he agreed breathlessly when he broke the kiss, eyelids heavy and his body still recovering.

His heart was pounding in his ears, his chest heaving under his heavy breathing as Nate's lips were pulled away. He bit his bottom lip through a little grin. "Mmm..." he murmured, finding the boys lips once more for a bit softer kiss this time. "I think there might have to be an open invitation for that too." he whispered. He figured he was already going to hell for cheating, might as well make the best of it.

"Yeah but..." Nate started, glancing down at the mess they'd made between them. "I think we might want to be smarter about that... You gonna lend me a T-shirt or am I going to tell everyone that's your fault?" He grinned lazily, realizing for the first time since before they'd started that he was still feeling a bit drunk.

Kavin's eyes followed Nate's downwards and he chuckled. "I think I'll lend you a shirt. Say you spilled something all over yourself. You were wasted, it's believable." he smirked. He finally pulled his fingers away from Nate, wiping the fluid from his hand on his already sticky shirt. He then, very carefully, removed the shirt, wadding it up and shaking his head. "Shirtless. Shirtless is good." he chuckled.

Nate looked him over and he had to agree. Shirtless -was- good, even if it drew his attention to the bandages covering Kavin's injuries. Those were decidedly not good. He followed Kavin's lead, pulling his own shirt off and then snorted softly. "Hey, we match," he muttered, nodding at Kavin's shoulder after looking down at his arm. "Well, almost." His injuries were more on his back after all. His other arm was still bruised to hell and back too, after that punch from the werewolf, but it could have been worse. It felt a bit dumb too how he thought more about the fact Kavin had more muscle on him than he did and it made him a little jealous.

He tried hard not to look like he was staring, making himself busy by using his wadded up shirt to wipe any remaining cum off of himself. "Yeah, we're a couple of fuckin' street fighters." he chuckled. "At least we look badass. Well, I look bad ass, you look like someone kicked your ass." he teased, giving the boy a little grin when he finally glanced back up at him.

"You should see the other guy," Nate muttered dryly though Kavin's joke was sadly spot on. How did you fight something in a dream? At least he'd given the werewolf a little something to remember him by and he had to wonder if the werewolf was still alive to wonder how the hell they'd gotten that scar.

Kavin grinned a little at him, reaching over with one hand to catch the back of the boys neck. He pulled Nate towards him and pressed their lips together again for just a moment then pulled away and rested his forehead against the other boy's. "Don't worry." he smirked. "I have a thing for losers." he teased.

"You're so good for my ego," Nate groaned. Kavin and Dylan really needed to cut that shit out with the whole Nate's such a dweeb thing. He grinned though, punching Kavin's good shoulder lightly. "I don't mind. Before you know it you'll be sucking my dick like a little bitch."

"See now, I wouldn't be sucking it like a bitch." he told him. "If I were to suck anything, I'd be sucking it better than a bitch. I'm a guy, I know what guys like. I doubt you'd get better head than I could give and I've never even done it before. So stick that in your juice box and suck it." Kavin said.

"No, you suck it," Nate laughed. "See, now you're gonna have to put your money where your mouth is, or your mouth where your words are as it is. I say you'll suck it like a bitch so you'll have to prove me wrong." He planted a kiss on his lips again before finishing wiping himself clean and tucking himself away, grinning at Kavin.

"What happened to 'not below the belt'?" he chuckled, stuffing himself back into his boxers and zipping his jeans again. "You know you want me." he smirked. "You're just trying to get me to suck your dick because you've been fantasizing about it this whole time, haven't you?"

"My mind did go there," Nate admitted with a cheeky grin. "And I think we kind of broke that rule tonight, unless you have some weird belt habits I don't know of."

A little laugh moved past Kavin's lips. "Guess that rule has officially been disregarded." he shrugged. "And as for where your mind went... well..." he said, reaching out to take Nate's hand, the one that hadn't been on him because well... he wasn't ready for that just yet. He pulled his hand upwards to his mouth, catching his pointer finger between his lips and for a second or two he sucked lightly on the boys fingertip, tongue teasing against his flesh and eyes locked with Nate's. He wasn't sure what possessed him to do such a thing, perhaps the look on Nate's face. "How's that for a little preview?"

Nate grinned as he stared at Kavin's lips. "You're just... That's not..." He made a small frustrated sound and pulled his hand away, laughing. "I'm going to wash up, find me a T-shirt, wench." He got up off his knees and swayed a little, not just from the booze but from... well, everything. His head felt light and everything was just a little weird, not bad weird but definitely weird.

"That's hot." he provided with a little chuckle and got up himself, heading back to his bedroom to find a shirt and dropping the dirty one into the hamper. And then covering it up with other dirty clothes. Explaining why you've got cum all over your t-shirt to your girlfriend when she hadn't been around wasn't exactly Kavin's idea for the rest of the night. He grabbed a shirt for himself and draped it over his shoulder and found one for Nate, then headed back out into the living room.

Nate came out just after he did and grabbed his pack of smokes off the table. He wanted to do a lot of weird little things, like lie down with his head on Kavin's lap and shit like that but it seemed somehow too gay (yeah, because jerking each other off hadn't been). His thoughts were just muddled and all over the place. He opted for sitting sideways and putting his feet on Kavin's lap instead, grinning lazily at him. "So... You wanna do that again sometime?"

He chuckled and lay the shirts across the arm of the couch, glancing over at Nate. Shirtless was still good. Really good. "If you have to ask me that, I'm guessing you're wanting my answer to be 'yes'."

"No, I'm just curious," Nate replied with one brow cocked in a 'duh' motion. "Since you mentioned the open invitation and all?" He grinned around his cigarette as he reached over for what was left of his drink.

"Whatever." he laughed. His fingertips played idly at the small line of hair just below his belly button and he shrugged as he looked down at his hand. "I... well... do you want to do it again?" he asked. Just for clarification purposes of course.

"I wouldn't wanna spoil you for your girlfriend," Nate said softly, though the way he looked at Kavin just then was probably answer enough.

Kavin did feel a little guilty when Nate brought up Jeri, but he forced those feelings away to the back of his mind and locked the door behind them. Innocent til she had proof, right? Right. "I don't think I'd mind doing it again..." he admitted.

"Okay, then we will," Nate murmured. "But if she comes after me? I'm so denying everything." He grinned faintly and drank some of the mixed drink before putting the can aside.

"I don't think she'd come after you. And if she found out that I did anything, I'm not dumb enough to give names." he told him. "So... another secret, I guess." he said with a little smile.

Again, Nate felt a bit like a hypocrite, but then again - if Frank hadn't cheated on his mom, Dylan wouldn't exist so there was that. Not that this little session was going to make any major impact on anyone's life. It still didn't change that he felt that way, especially since he'd probably feel worse about it if Kavin was still with Charlie.

Kavin knew he felt bad himself. Knew he shouldn't be doing what he'd done, but the simple fact remained that he had, and did and really wanted to again. Was it possible to like two totally different people so much? Jeri and Nate were like night and day. Two totally separate personalities, but Kavin felt drawn to Nate in a way he couldn't explain, so he didn't try. No one had to know. They weren't hurting anyone. It wasn't like he was out with another girl. It wasn't like he was screwing anyone. Close, but not screwing. There was a difference. "Ya know," Kavin began. "And I'm only saying this because you're drunk and probably won't remember and because even if you do I'll tell you that you were drunk and imagining things but," he paused and took a breath. "You are really fucking hot." he finally forced out in the form of one long word.

Nate looked up, eyes going wide and brows arching before he grinned slowly and let out a silent laugh. "Yeah well... Fuck you. So are you. But I'll remember this and I need to start ... I don't know. Recording you or something if you keep this up." He took a deep drag of his cigarette and let his gaze roam over Kavin's chest. He didn't really see himself as hot, too thin really, but the fact Kavin thought he was, it was a boost to his ego for sure.

Thin or not didn't much matter to Kavin. His own eyes had been fixated on the boys chest each time he thought he wouldn't get caught staring. He didn't find boys attractive, but Nate... He didn't even try to understand it. He was hot. That's all he knew. For whatever reason, one guy in the whole damn universe could turn his temperature up. "Remember it." he shrugged, reaching over to take the cigarette from Nate and put it between his own lips. "Just don't repeat it in mixed company." he smirked. "Course, if you wanna run around thinking it all day, you're more than welcome to. 'Kavin thinks I'm hot. Kavin thinks I'm hot'." he teased in a sing song little voice.

"You're so mature," Nate murmured, amused. "Just let the record show that my brain doesn't sound like a twelve year old girl." He pulled back one foot to push at Kavin's leg before settling it comfortably on his lap again. "Even if yours does."

He rolled his eyes. "Even trying to sound like a twelve year old girl, I can't swing it." he chuckled. "Don't think my voice hits those pitches anymore. Course... I think if I tried hard enough I could make you hit a couple of high notes."

It was a good thing Nate wasn't drinking anything or it would have ended up on Kavin. He laughed and his face actually went a little red when he considered just how Kavin might do that. "I'm not putting that theory of yours to the test," he told him, rubbing his eyes with the back of one hand - mostly to hide the blush.

Kavin laughed too and shook his head, reaching up to pull that hand away from Nate's face. "You know, I like it when you blush, so you might as well not cover it up." he told the boy.

"Shut up," Nate drawled. "I don't, it's dumb." He smirked and pushed himself up, leaning forward and kissing Kavin again, which didn't really have anything to do with anything other than catering to the sudden urge.

He kissed him back, one hand sliding up the boy's chest, slowly making a trail to his neck. Once there, his hand lightly squeezed at the flesh just beneath Nate's hair. Shirtless and kissing? That was also good.

Nate couldn't agree more, it also kept Kavin from talking shit and making him feel self conscious and awkward. Kissing was way better than talking.

And kiss they did. For a few minutes. At least if his phone hadn't started going off in his pocket. he reluctantly pulled his lips from Nate's to check the text he'd received. "It's Jeri." he told Nate, as his eyes flicked up to catch Nate's darker ones. "I should probably go get her."

"Might want to get dressed then," Nate murmured, reaching past him to grab the T-shirts off the arm of the sofa. "Which one's for me?" He asked and held them up, choosing one before Kavin had a chance to reply. "I'll take this one."

Kavin took the other shirt and pulled it over his head. He glanced over at Nate again and moved his fingers to his lips. They were a little sore from the intensity of the make-out session. "Do I look like I've been making out for the last... however long?" he asked.

Nate furrowed his brows. "Yeah a little," he said honestly. "Might wanna wait a few..." He pulled on the T-shirt and even if it was clean, it still smelled like Kavin. Something from Kavin's room, using a different washing liquid than Nate did, something. It smelled like Kavin. He felt like such a girl when it occurred to him maybe he'd keep it a little longer than he needed to.

"Probably a good idea." he nodded as he texted back a 'be there in a few' text to Jeri and put his phone back in his pocket. "Now, if I can keep from kissing you til I leave." he said with a little smile and a glance in Nate's direction.

Nate grinned faintly at that, taking a last drag off his cigarette before putting it out. "Putting you to the test," he teased. "But I think I'll get out of here before Jeri shows up."

"Sure you're okay to drive?" he asked. "Well... you're a lot more sober than you were when you got here, I'm guessing. Just don't like.. die or something, yeah? And text me when you get to your house so I know you didn't jump a curb and hit a pole cuz that'd be bad."

"I've driven in worse condition, trust me," Nate told him dismissively. "Plus, tiny town, low on traffic, I'll be fine. But okay, worrywart, I'll send you an inappropriate text message when I get home, make sure Jeri doesn't get to the phone before you do." He winked at him and straightened up again to lean over to him. "Just be glad I didn't give you a little hickey."

Kavin smirked. "Guess if you wanna give me a hickey, you're gonna have to find somewhere to put it that she won't see. Kinda like a game. Hide the hickey." he chuckled. He closed the gap between them and pressed his lips to Nate's. "So sue me. Couldn't hold out." he shrugged.

"Loser," Nate laughed but he kissed him again, just a chaste one to keep from marking him. He felt a pang of jealousy when he pulled away, an uncharacteristic feeling for him. But there was Kavin with his girlfriend. Then there was Leija who seemed to also be the object of desire for his brother and that just made things complicated. Everything seemed so complicated.

"You weren't calling me a loser when you had your hand on my dick, now were you?" Kavin pointed out. Just like that little pang of jealousy that went through Nate, another rush of guilt went through him. He really needed to keep that guilt in check before he got to Jeri. That would just be bad. "Alright, get your ass home. And if you're sending me explicit texts," he smirked, "Make 'em good."

Nate chuckled and got up, ruffling Kavin's hair gently. "It's not a good idea to badmouth someone when they've got their hand on your dick. You might want to make a note of that."

Pushing himself up from the couch, Kavin smiled. "Well anything I say 'badmouthing' you is meant to ruffle your feathers or make you blush because it's just sooo cute." he smirked. "You make some really great faces when you're flustered. Can't help it that I like those faces."

"I only put up with you because you're hot," Nate said with a roll of his eyes. "Asshole." He smirked and let his pack of smokes disappear into one of his pockets, then picked up his bundled up T-shirt. "I'll talk to you tomorrow."

"Mhm." Kavin said with a disbelieving smile. "I have a feeling there's more to it than that. It's gotta be something other than my shockingly good looks." he teased. "Tomorrow." he agreed.

"No no, it's just your looks," Nate chuckled as he headed out. "Don't cry too hard, at least you're fucking hot."
