Are you ok?

Lullaby was frowning a lot now. Two messages in like, ten minutes from boys she knew were both having the dreams? That just meant trouble. So she bit her lower lip and sat at her desk, wondering what the hell was happening.

I'm fine, are YOU? What's going on?

Re: 6:07am

Those five minutes had been the longest of Joshua's life. That's what it felt like, anyway. He'd paced the length of his room a few dozen times, getting more and more antsy and feeling more and more like he wanted to jump out the window and run to her house. Then his phone buzzed and he sagged in relief on his bed.

Dream was different tonight, you were in it. Can I meet you at lunch today?

Re: 6:09am

Lullaby was staring at her phone, then back to the emails, and she had a very bad sinking feeling. Very bad one. Shit. She was in it? That hadn't happened before, right? Someone surely would have said something?

Yes. I usually eat on the side lawn, over to the right hand side of the school. Come find me there, I'll be there. Are you okay??

Re: 6:10am

Joshua punched 'no' into the phone and then backed it out again. That wouldn't be very ... good, would it? No. No it wouldn't. But she was alive and okay, so that was enough to be okay about, wasn't it?

I'm okay. What time?

Re: 6:13am

And everyone's lying to me today, already. Lullaby thought to herself, really not happy with anything. That just wasn't cool. Which meant major things were going on, and she was kind of wondering just what kind of an appearance she'd made in the weird dream. Shit.

Around noonish. I'll be sure to be out there as soon as I can, kay? <3

Re: 6:15am

I'll be there. <3

Joshua closed his phone and sat back with a sigh, rubbing at his eyes. Some things just couldn't be said over texts. He wanted to tell her in person, and he couldn't imagine how hard waiting for another six hours to do that was going to be.
