Driver
Who: Kavin and Skye
Where: Hallways of MSHS
When: Between second and third period
Skye was wandering down the hallway towards her third period class, musing over the fact she'd completely failed to pay any sort of attention to what was going on in second. Good thing she was getting good at just taking notes, since she really didn't think she could remember anything that was involved there. But the hallway required slightly more attention than the classroom did, considering the number of hurrying people. And she broke into a smile when she spied Kavin at his own locker. "Kavin! I just wanted to compliment you on your party-throwing abilities." And she leaned up against the locker that was next to his for a moment.
Kavin heard his name and turned his attention towards the blonde as she came up towards him. He gave her a smile and a little wave as he snagged a few of the books he'd need for the next couple of classes. "Thanks." he told her. "Guessing you had a good time then?" he asked. He was glad that she'd enjoyed herself, but more glad that she wasn't with Chrissy. Amazingly glad.
"Well, I did. Considering the fact I don't have anything to compare it too, I can honestly say that I actually really did enjoy your party. Thank you very much for throwing it. And if you choose to throw another one in the future, I'll definitely attend." Skye grinned at him and stood up straight again.
"Well good, you've got a standing invitation to all parties in the future." he told her. Skye wasn't as brainless as he thought Chrissy to be. And she wasn't a bitch. He just hoped that she'd stand her ground and not become one now that Chrissy had sucked her in. "So how're you doing today?"
"Pretty good, thank you. How bad was the hangover?" Skye asked, amused. A lot of people had been drinking at the party, and it seemed to her that they were drinking rather excessively, but it was her first high school party, after all. But it still seemed like a good question to ask.
He shrugged, closing his locker and zipping up his bag. "It wasn't that bad." he said. He'd smoked afterward and it'd been a while that he'd stopped drinking before he actually went to sleep so he'd woken up without a headache thankfully. "Just glad that I had a couple days to recover before heading back into school and all that.
Skye nodded. "Good to hear. Listen, I don't drink alcohol? So if someone at your parties ever needs a ride home, just let me know and I'll be glad to do it, alright?" That was a nice, helpful thing she could do! And it would possibly keep people from dying. Total bonus.
An offering of a designated driver. Odd, but hey, what the hell. It was a nifty little thing to have around should someone get a bit too sloshed to make their way home by themselves. "I'll keep that in mind." he said with a smile. "Thanks."
"You're welcome. I have to get to class and at least try to pay attention, so I'll see you later, okay?" Skye grinned up again at him and tucked a few strands of escaping hair behind her ear. "Have a really good day, as much as you can on a Monday."
"I'll do that. You too." he told her, adjusting the strap on his shoulder. She was really damn bubbly especially on a Monday. Hell she was pretty chipper all around. "Catch you later, Skye."
"Bye, Kavin." With a happy smile, she moved around him and started heading for third period, raising a hand to greet someone else that she, unfortunately, didn't have time to stop and chat with now.
