Thom hadn't been much in the mood for cooking tonight, and with the snow lying and his mom having the car, the only take-out he'd be able to have and get warm without it needing to be reheated (in which case, he may as well cook) would be pizza and he so very definitely wasn't in a pizza mood. He considered heading over to Isaac's and bumming some dinner over there, but with him still seeing Chrissy, he didn't really feel like intruding on Kaysen, so it was a trudge through the snow into town to grab some food on an eat-in basis. Which was kinda depressing - it generally was, eating in alone. but it wouldn't be the first time he'd done it and, anyway, half the time he ended up with unexpected company, which was cool. A lot of people around with knew him, or knew of him - he was a familiar face in the small town.
