Who: Aiden and Jules
When: Evening, after dark
Where: Phonelines and Jules' house
NSFW

Jules was completely and utterly petrified by the time Blaine left her house. She'd seen far more that night than she thought she could handle and she honestly, just didn't want to be alone for any reason if she could help it. So she grabbed her phone and hid in her closet. Closets were safe from ghosts, right? Finding Aiden's name in her contacts, she called him, fingers shaking with the phone in her hand. "Please pick up... please pick up..."

Aiden was currently out, marveling at the ghosts that seemed to have taken over Marquette. They didn't seem violent - not that ones he had seen anyway - but rather... confused. Lost. As taken aback by the entire situation as the people who happened to see them. Which seemed to be everyone. Aiden was debating on whether or not to take action when his phone rang. Pulling it out of his pocket, he glanced down at the number before punching the button to take the call. Lifting his gaze back up to the road, he jerked in his seat and slammed on the brakes, coming way too close to hitting.... a ghost. The young woman stared at him blankly for a moment before she continued on her way, fading in the night before reappearing. His chest heaving, Aiden took a deep breath and lifted the phone to his ear. "Jules?"

"Aiden?" she murmured in response, sounding both terrified and relieved at the same time as she shifted to rest against the wall in the back corner of her closet. "Where are you?" she asked, voice sounding even more frightened than she had when uttering his name. She felt weak and completely stupid for having to call him, but ghosts? Really?

"I'm out," he told her. "Had to get some cigarettes. Why? What's up? Everythin' okay?" He could hear the fear in her voice and he assumed she had seen the ghosts too. It didn't frighten him, but Aiden could understand how she might be freaking out.

She bit her bottom lip. "Aiden, I know I'm being a big baby, but I keep seeing... stuff and I'm freaking out and I just... I'm scared." she admitted finally, squeezing her eyes shut. Her voice wavered just slightly as she spoke. She couldn't believe he was out. With ghosts running about.

"It's all right," Aiden said, easing his foot off the brake now that the ghost was gone. Then again, would it have made a difference if he had hit the spirit? She was already dead. "You're not the only one seeing things. It seems to be affecting the town as a whole. Are you at home?" he asked.

The whole town? Everyone was seeing them? Not just herself and Blaine. "I am now..." she told him. "In the closet... again. I think I should just live in here and never come out if I'm going to be spending so much damn time locked up in here."

"You're in the closet..." For some reason Aiden found that to be amusing. "You can't really hide from ghosts in the closet, Jules. You know they can probably move through the walls..." He wasn't trying to scare her... okay so maybe he was trying to spook her a bit, but it was Halloween. "Let yourself out. I don't think they're violent ghosts. At least not the ones I've seen."

She blinked. "You're not helping." she told him, obviously having not really thought about that face even though she assumed ghosts could walk through walls, but she did get up. Got up and got out of the closet, and headed down the stairs. "And who cares if they're violent or not? They're dead... ghosts? Why ghosts?"

"I don't know. It's Halloween. The veil between the living world and the dead one is generally thinner on this day, but... it looks like the veil's been completely removed from how many I can see. But... they look just as terrified as the living people do. Where did you see them? Your yard?"

"I was out earlier." she admitted. "Went for a walk and talked to some guy and I thought I was dreaming for the longest up until he touched me and I felt it. He was cold. Like... really cold." Jules explained.

"What kind of touch was it?" Aiden asked, furrowing his brow. "Were you able to physically touch him?" Touching a ghost, or having one move through you, could be painful, given they were cold beings. He knew if you touched a ghost for too long, you could end up with frostbite. But he also knew vampires were just as cold to the touch... and it could have been either.

"A handshake." she told him. "He said he was just cold all the time. I don't know. That's besides the point. He seemed nice, he walked me home when I freaked the fuck out at the cafe."

"Cold all the time means he's probably undead," Aiden muttered. "I bet he was pretty pale too, wasn't he?" Aiden wasn't so much bothered by the fact that some guy was walking Jules home, as he was by the fact that this guy could have been a vampire, or a ghost. Or something else entirely. "You're home now though, right? With the door locked?"

"He's probably what?" she questioned, blinking a little. "Yeah. Pale, but.. what?" she asked again. "Yes, yes I'm home now, door locked..."

Aiden smirked at her question. "Undead, love. Vampire. Creature of the night. Soulless, bloodsucking... he wasn't eying your throat the entire walk home, was he?" Aiden reached for his cigarettes, pulling one from his pack with his lips. "You didn't find yourself under his thrall?"

"I... I don't know." she said, hand moving up to her neck and rubbing it as if she had been bitten though she knew she hadn't. "I don't think I was... how do you... how would I know?"

"I guess you wouldn't know," Aiden said with a shrug. "I just think you need to be more cautious about who you let walk you home, Jules. Marquette's a strange town, and even if someone looks normal, it doesn't mean that they are."

"I wasn't going to walk home alone with... ghosts everywhere." she protested. "And it was cold outside, and just because he's pale doesn't mean that he's a vampire..." God she hoped not. "If he was a vampire, he would have bitten me."

"You could have called me to come pick you up," Aiden pointed out. "Use your brain, Jules. And I didn't say just because he was pale he was a vampire. I said it was a possibility that because he was cold and pale, that he was probably a vampire. Was the sun up when you met? I'm guessin' not. And he wouldn't have necessarily bitten you. Not all of them were blood hungry all the time."

"I didn't want you to think I was stupid for going out..." she muttered, mostly to herself. "But obviously you do think I'm stupid because I didn't 'use my brain'." Jules found it interesting that she was so annoyed with him now. "No, the sun wasn't up. He probably was a vampire. Fucking lovely. And now he knows where I live and could totally eat me or something."

"I wouldn't have thought you were stupid." Aiden rolled his eyes and managed to light his cigarette without crashing his car. "I think you're stupid for accepting a walk home from a guy you don't know, while there's strange shit happenin' around town. I told you to call me if you needed somethin'. He's not goin' to eat you. Keep your doors locked. If you see him comin' around, you call me. Can you remember to do that?"

"I accepted a walk home from you and I didn't know you." she pointed out. "And look how lovely that turned out. And what the hell could you possibly do if he was a vampire? Stab him through the heart or something?"

He rolled his eyes again and took a long drag from his cigarette before answering. "You didn't know any better when you let me walk you home. You should know better now. There are ways to get rid of vampires, sweetheart. I would recommend you not try any of those things, however. Are you sure you're okay?"

"And how would you know of said ways to get rid of vampires?" she asked him. "And I don't know if I'm okay. There are ghosts everywhere, I may or may not have let a vampire walk me home and I'm completely and utterly petrified." She half wondered if Olivia was around the house, but she hadn't heard a peep from her.

"I know a lot of things," Aiden replied simply. He could tell by the sound of her voice that she was genuinely scared, even though he wasn't sure she had reason to be. But then again, seeing ghosts around town could be unnerving for just about anyone, and it wasn't like she was completely aware of everything supernatural. "Do you want me to come over for awhile?" he asked, rubbing his thumb alongside his nose.

She bit her bottom lip and walked to Olivia's room, she didn't answer when she knocked so she cracked the door, but she wasn't inside. "Would you?" she questioned softly as she shut the door again. "I really don't wanna be by myself and Liv is gone and... please?"

It took Aiden a moment to realize Liv was Olivia. He had nearly forgotten the girl had moved in with Jules. "All right," he finally agreed, turning his car to head toward her house. "I don't know if I can stay all night, but at least until you feel comfortable enough to be alone. Or your roommate gets home."

"Alright." she said with a little nod, though she knew that he couldn't see it. "See you in a few. And Aiden?" Jules said softly. "I really apreciate it. Thank you."

"It's no problem." Aiden hung up, since he was more than halfway to her house anyway. When he finished his cigarette, he parked, sighing as he glanced at her house. A few moments later, he was knocking at her door, giving the perimeter around her yard a thorough look. No sign of pale, cold men lurking about.

Jules was sitting on her couch when the knock came at her door. She took the card that the man had given her and sat it down on the coffee table. "He only comes out at night. Busy during the day." she muttered to herself as she opened the door. "Hey." she said, forcing a little smile. "Sorry to make you come over here. Just... jumpy I guess..."

He walked inside, eyes checking every inch of her house that he could see where he was. No ghosts either. "It's okay. I suppose ghosts aren't entirely afraid of gun wieldin' women." He grinned at her and took off his baseball hat before going to sit down. "Everythin' been normal, then?"

She nodded. "Aside from the fact that I remembered this? And the fact that I remembered that he said he's 'busy' during the day..." she said, holding up the card with his name and a number. "He wanted me to call him if I'd like to see him.." Jules told Aiden, looking down at the card in her hand. "I guess I'm okay."

"Of course he's busy during the day. If he's a bloodsucker, he's probably sleeping and avoiding being burnt to a crisp," Aiden replied, relaxing back against the couch and rubbing his hands over his face. "I say if you would like to see him, you do it in a very public place. Don't take any chances, even if the guy's one hundred percent human."

"So banging the vamp is against the rules? He's very pretty. Don't know if I'll be able to resist." Jules said, trying her best to sound serious though sarcasm ran through her words.

"Bang whoever you feel like bangin'," Aiden told her with a mild scowl. "Just make sure that you're doin' it because you want to, and not because some vampire is hypnotizin'. Some are capable of that shit, you know."

She frowned at him. "I'm not banging anyone." she muttered, sitting down beside him and looping her arm through his as she rested her head against his shoulder. "Just a joke..." she whispered. "Trying to lighten the mood or something. I'd much rather be joking that terrified ya know..."

Aiden watched her, not pulling away when she slipped her arm through his. "You don't have any reason to be terrified, Jules. You're not hurt, and you're not bein' terrorized, you know? I know this stuff is still new to you. But the more knowledge you have, I think the better of you'll be."

"Mhm." she said softly. "And I know I'm not hurt or anything, just creeped out but I feel better now that I'm not by myself." Jules admitted. "But what if he comes back? What if I can't get ahold of you? What if he isn't a nice guy or whatever...?"

"I don't know, Jules. There's ways to keep vampires at bay. They need an invitation to enter your house, so don't invite anyone in that you don't know and trust. Stake through the heart, decapitation, sunlight. They only breathe when they're speaking. Some despise religious symbology and some don't..." He trailed off and looked over at her. "Again, you ought to get some books, love."

She bit her bottom lip and nodded. "Yeah... Guess I should..." she muttered. She wanted to ask Aiden about the dreaming for Olivia, but she didn't think it was her business, so she kept her mouth shut. "Well... he didn't come inside." she told him. "I didn't invite him, so I'm okay then?"

"If he is a vampire, yes, you're okay. I don't know that for sure, seein' as how I didn't meet him." And there was a good possibility Aiden had been jumping to unfair conclusions because it bugged him that she was letting men walk her home, much in the same way she had let him. Before propositioning him, of course. "Next time you see the guy, pay closer attention to him. If he breathes when he's not talkin'... how cold, pale he is."

"He's cold." she said softly, fingers brushing across Aiden's skin, moving down his forearm to his hand. "His fingers are cold. His hand. Like... ice..." she mumbled.

"Maybe he's got poor blood circulation," Aiden suggested, lacing his fingers through hers. "I've made ya paranoid, which I recognize. I just want you to be careful. Look at people through different eyes than you do now. It's the best way to be aware, and be safe in this town. Not everyone is what they seem."

"Maybe..." she shrugged. "I don't know. He seemed nice. He didn't try to hurt me. He was friendly. I only even talked to him because I thought I was dreaming the whole way to the cafe." she pointed out. "Werewolves I could handle but ghosts apparently just didn't click in my brain. So when he shook my hand I realized I wasn't dreaming because he was terribly cold and then I freaked out on him after he bought me dinner..."

"You thought you were dreamin'? Why, because of the ghosts? That must have been some vivid dream," Aiden stated with a soft chuckle. "So a pale, cold guy buys you dinner, you freak out on him for whatever reason, and he walks you home. Sounds like you had an eventful evenin'. Hopefully you got somethin' tasty out of it."

Jules flushed a little. "Well I'd never seen a ghost before and then they were all over, I thought I was asleep..." she told him with a little shrug. "I don't even rememb- oh god. That's something else, he wouldn't eat anything." she told him. "Do they eat? Like he said that he'd already eaten and insisted he was fine and he wouldn't let me pay for my own food it was... really weird..."

"You've never seen a lot of things, but that doesn't mean they don't exist." Things existed that she would probably laugh about. Mermaids and gorgons... which reminded him of Eury. Which had him scowling briefly as he tried to shake off the uneasy feeling. "Do they eat? You mean, vampires? Yeah, they prefer creamy white throats. Sometimes ala mode, sometimes with extra cheese..." Aiden rolled his eyes and looked at Jules. "It was really weird because he was probably a vampire. But he didn't attack you, and he didn't bite you. You just need to be more on guard."

"You you have to keep reminding me that he could have eaten me, seriously? I'd like not to think about guys eating me if I can help it. At least not in that way but that's completely besides the point. I just don't want to think about vampires and... whatever else there is out there. Fucking ghosts and werewolves." She tilted her head upwards a little to look at him. "You sure you're not something I should be afraid of? How do you know about all this stuff?"

"Yeah, I think I have to keep remindin' you so next time you accept help from a stranger, you give it more thought." He snickered at her 'eating' comment and bit his tongue from fueling that particular fire. Though it was pretty hard. Because now he was mentally picturing her on her back and him... well, eating her out. Aiden smiled at her question. "Yeah, I'm somethin' you should be afraid of, Jules. But I'm no monster, if that's what your askin. I know this stuff because I know people who're different. And because I spent the last four years or so huntin' these things." There, he said. Yeah, he was a hunter. He didn't feel regretful, telling her. She was oblivious to most of the supernatural shit around town, and he knew she wasn't going to run off and tell everyone she knew. Besides, if Olivia was her roommate, he was sure the girl would have told Jules eventually herself.

She blinked a little, any joking banter completely gone from her mind. "What?" she questioned, releasing his arm for a moment and trying to process all that. "So wait, you like... hunt them? You go out looking for them? That's crazy. Why? You can't.. what if..." She didn't want to think about the 'what ifs'. Didn't want to think about him getting hurt or eaten or killed or whatever the hell else vampires and werewolves and god knew what else would do to him. She didn't know what else to say so she just stared at him, completely confused and worried and all the emotions running through her brain showing in her eyes.

"I don't go out lookin' on my own. Look, it's my job. People hire me to hunt things down. I take their money, and I do it. I don't do it for my own state of mind, or to help other people. That's not how I operate. If there's somethin' in it for me, then I do it. And I'm damn good at it," Aiden told her, proud of that fact and not wanting her to worry or think he was incapable. "I've been doin' it for years."

She shifted a little, moving into his lap without permission and honestly not giving a flying fuck if he didn't want her to be there. She shifted her legs to straddle his body and she caught his face with her hands, forcing him to look at her. "You get yourself killed and I swear to god I will resurrect you and kill you again, do you hear me?" she told him, the look on her face making it absolutely clear that she would seek out a resurrection specialist if she so needed to.

Cocking an eyebrow, he stared at her for a moment before the laughter bubbled up and escaped his lips. "Okay, yeah. Look, I haven't been killed yet. I've got a pretty good streak goin'. Though that's not to say I haven't my fair share of scars. Reminders, I guess." Like the gash on his forearm from the Oni demon. He was still popping painkillers from that fucker. "If I get myself killed, I'll come and haunt you, how's that?"

"It's not funny." she muttered, shaking her head and letting her thumbs play along the slight curve of his cheek. "You just better not die. Then who'd protect me from the monsters?" she asked him. After all, during a lot of the craziness that was Marquette, he'd been the one to keep her safe.

"It's a little bit funny," Aiden corrected. "And there's a lot of people who'd be willin' to protect a damsel in distress. Though I think you could do okay protectin' yourself if you needed to. You killed one of those shadows, didn't you?"

"Yeah, in the process of freaking the hell out of a teenage boy." she said, shaking her head a little. "I think I weird him out. Like a lot. Apparently women aren't supposed to carry guns or something." she shrugged. "I could have just let it tear us to shreds but.. never mind, I don't want to talk about stupid shadows and monsters and all that crap." she sighed, letting her fingers trail back into his hair.

Aiden leaned his head back against the back of the couch. "Okay, so what do you want to talk about then?" He's wasn't too keen on discussing her romps with teenage boys either. "Monsters and all that crap are generally what I know best."

She shrugged a little. "Anything." she told him, shifting just a bit and resting her head against his shoulder. Jules' lips were close to his neck so she decided to make use of that closeness and lightly pressed them against his warm skin. "Least I know you're not a vampire." she murmured.

"I'm most definitely not that," he agreed. He felt his eyes close briefly when her lips touched his skin, but he forced them open, staring up at the ceiling. Having her straddling him that way and touching him like that... well, he was a hot blooded young male, and even if he didn't want to be, he was becoming affected by it. Which she was sure to feel soon enough. "Doesn't mean I don't like biting every now and then."

She smiled a little at that, letting her arms wrap around his body, beneath his arms. "So you like biting huh?" she questioned, moving her lips to his neck. "What about being bitten?" she whispered, lightly biting the flesh, then kissing the spot she bit.

"I'm not opposed to it," Aiden managed with a small laugh. His hands came to rest on her hips and he shifted his face toward hers, cocking an eyebrow. "So all this talk about vampires must have inspired you, yeah?"

She smiled a little and gave him a shrug. "You're the one that brought up biting, dollface." she pointed out. Jules slid one of her hands across his cheek and grinned a little, then lightly pressed her lips to his for a short moment. Then she pulled her mouth away, barely a breath and spoke. "But I can't say that biting doesn't sound like fun.

"I don't think that was me. You said somethin' 'bout vampires so technically, I think you started it all." He smirked a bit, feeling lazy now that she was all warm and pressed up against him. "You were just walked home by a possible vampire, and now you want to do some bitin' of your own?"

"Maybe. Maybe not. Depends on if my prey wants to be bitten." she said in a soft little whisper, one brow arched above a sky blue eye. "So, tell me, love, d'ya like to be bitten? And 'I'm not opposed to it' isn't a straight answer and you know it."

"It's a straight answer for me." He reached up and brushed some of her hair over her shoulder, his fingers sliding through the strands. "Thing with vampires is... they don't care if their prey likes to be bitten. But why don't you try it again and I'll tell ya what I think."

She bit her bottom lip as he spoke and as he brushed her hair over her shoulder. Even little things like that made her heart speed up. She leaned in a little again and pressed her lips to his neck, lightly kissing the flesh before parting those lips and biting him again, a bit harder than before, but not enough to hurt him.

Yeah, if he hadn't been turned on before, he definitely was now. His fingers pressed hard into her hips before he turned his head to seek her mouth with his own. Thoughts of vampires and ghosts were quickly dissipating from his mind. He could worry about that shit tomorrow, couldn't he? He was going to be there for her for awhile... no need to let his brain run chaotic with distracting thoughts.

She would have smiled against his kiss if it hadn't of been a good enough one to shut her brain down entirely. "Mmm..." she murmured into the kiss, fingertips brushing across his cheek and back into his hair again. Kissing Aiden? On her list of favorite things to do. Very well her top favorite.

Aiden pulled back from the kiss, his teeth scraping against her lip before he opened both eyes to look at her. "This was all some ploy to get me here, wasn't it? You don't seem to terrified of ghosts and vampires now," he pointed out, though his tone was filled with humor rather than any real annoyance. "You just want to take advantage of my chivalry."

Jules drew a breath as he pulled back, teeth grazing her lower lip and those eyes flicking open. She had to swallow and pause a moment before she could even answer him. "I'm still terrified." she whispered truthfully. "But what do I have to worry about when you're here?" And that was honest as well. She felt safe around him, even more so now that she knew he hunted those evil things. Things that could hurt her. She felt protected around him. And kissing him... she wanted to do that again, so she didn't let him respond as she leaned in to press her lips to his once more.

Aiden was about to respond when she was kissing him again. His hands smoothed around to squeeze her ass, and he realized this is exactly how they started out the night before. He bit at her bottom lip a bit more sharply before pulling back and smirking. "I don't know. You should worry about me, or somethin'. I can be just as scary as any ghost or vampire."

"You can?" she questioned with a raised brow. "Prove it, gorgeous." Jules was a bit curious at how 'scary' he thought he could be. She actually wondered what he might do. Challenge a hunter? Was that a smart thing to do? Probably not, but at the moment she didn't care.

"I can't be scary on demand," Aiden said. "Besides, you claim to be terrified enough, what kind of guy would I be to make it worse on you?" He grinned and patted her ass with one hand. "I don't think you're gonna be able to sleep tonight by yourself as it is. I predict you turn on every light in the house."

He was probably right and she flushed a little at the embarrassment. "Probably." she admitted. "Guess I'll just have to get over it. Or drag out a stuffed animal or something so I'm not so lonely. What do you expect? I've never seen a ghost before and now the whole town is practically covered in them... and a maybe vampire knows where I live..." It was a bit terrifying.

"Stuffed animals?" He cocked an eyebrow. "You have stuffed animals? Somehow I doubt they'd protect you, love." Aiden moved his hands up to the small of her back. "And I already told you that a vampire can't come into your house unless you invite him in. So don't be stupid enough to do that, okay?"

"Yes I have stuffed animals... packed away in my closet and they might not protect me, but they might make me feel a little better. And I'm not going to just invite him in..." she added on. "I'm at least smart enough not to do that."

"How old are you again?" Aiden asked, smirking. "That might be the wise thing to do. Line up your stuffed animals on the edge of your bed. Or stack them up on either side of you when you go to sleep. Seems like times like this, you ought to get a dog or somethin' that can alert you to trouble if it happens by."

"I'm twenty-one and you're an asshole." she muttered, shifting back slightly and making like she was going to get off his lap. But she didn't, she wanted to see if he'd stop her, pull her back. Maybe hoped he'd stop her. Give her a sliver of hope that he might actually like her a little. "Maybe I should get a dog, then I could get rid of you."

"Or I could just continue bein' an arsehole, and you can call me a dog," Aiden suggested, grabbing her around the waist and pulling her back onto his lap. "Think you need to stop bein' so sensitive, sweetheart. You're the one with stuffed animals, not me. How many of them were presents from men? Bet you got them with roses and chocolates too, yeah?"

She furrowed her brow at him. "All of them." she admitted. "And yes. Chocolate, roses, lingerie. Whatever they thought could get them a second date." Not that a second date with Jules Martinez ever really happened. She was nothing more than a fleeting wind sweeping through their lives. "And I'm not sensitive either." she argued. "You're just always mean to me."

He snickered and nodded, lazying himself back against the couch again. "Yeah, I thought so. Did any of that stuff work? Or did you just pack it all in your closet as keepsakes? Or in the stuffed animals cases, protection?" Aiden smiled and slapped her ass lightly again. "I'm not mean to you, love. I'm honest with you. And I think you take what I say as bein' mean to you when I'm not intended it for it to be taken that way."

"No. It gets tossed out or stuffed in the closet. I like to buy my own lingerie and the stuffed animals are just... there." she shrugged. "And why do you keep spanking me? I haven't been a bad girl. Yet..." she smirked. "And maybe you don't mean it in a mean way, but you told me yourself that you were an asshole, so how can you be sure you don't mean it rude or mean or whatever?"

"I keep spankin' you because I like your butt," Aiden replied, smacking her ass again to drive home that particular statement. "I know how I mean things when I say them. If I'm meanin' for somethin' to be rude, you're gonna know it was meant to be rude. Besides, if I told you I was an arse, then you shouldn't act like you didn't know it to begin with."

"If you like my ass this much through those jeans, I'd really love to see how much you like it with nothing covering it." she said with a little grin. "And I don't care if you're an ass." she shrugged. "At least you're interesting and you don't sugarcoat shit and I don't have to guess with you, everything's just... out there." Of course sometimes that was a bad thing. Sometimes she wished that the truth was a little more in her favor.

"I've seen you naked," Aiden reminded her. "And I enjoyed it just as much as I do now." He was glad that she didn't expect more from him, or want more. He didn't think he could handle a clingy woman who begged for commitment or answers. Especially when he didn't have any to give her. "Life's easier to live when everythin' is out there, Jules. You can find yourself in a world of shite if you sugarcoat and bullshit your way through things."

"You have?" she questioned, feigning surprise. "When? Where was I? I don't remember that." she teased, smiling the entire time. She couldn't help but tease him a little. "And yeah, it would tend to get you in trouble when people find out you bullshit them." she agreed. "Maybe that's what I like about you. The honesty."

"You might have been passed out," Aiden said. "Can't really remember." He chuckled and shifted a bit underneath her. "Some people never find out if you're bullshitting them. The smart ones do. And that's what I like about you, love. You don't mind the honesty, and you accept it. Not a lot of women would."

She smiled a little at him and lifted her hands to brush his hair away from his face. "What else do you like about me?" she questioned. "The fact that I don't mind the honesty and my ass. Hmm.. great qualities there." Jules chuckled.

Aiden watched her and slid his hands around to rest on her thighs. "I like that you have stuffed animals in your bedroom. And you have a pretty smile." Aiden paused and let himself grin. "And I really like your tits too." He was fully prepared for it should she decide to hit him - hard or not.

She might have hit him had she not been so surprised by the first two things that he mentioned. It showed clearly on her face that she hadn't expected him to comment on her stuffed animals, nor on her smile. Her breasts? Well, yeah, she kinda expected that one. She flushed a little as her eyes caught his and she couldn't help but smile. She tried hard not to, but it was far too difficult to hold it back. "You think I have a pretty smile?"

"Yeah." With her reaction he could have sworn that she didn't get compliments often, but he knew that couldn't possibly the case. Maybe it was that she didn't get compliments often from him. But not a lot of people did. "I think your breasts might be nicer though," Aiden tacked on, leaning forward to press his face between them. "Nice and soft..." He looked up at her. "Definitely better than a pillow."

She rolled her eyes a little at that as her face cooled from the heat of the flush. "You're such a goof. Thanks, I guess. Grew them myself from scratch. Took me twenty-one years to get them as perfect as they are now." Jules grinned.

"You did a decent job," he agreed before flopping back against the couch again. "I've found that near perfect breasts are generally because of surgery. And since I'm always honest, you know I'm tellin' the truth."

"Oh they're real." she said, glancing down at her sweater covered chest. "Course, I'm sure you can tell the difference right? The bounce test or something? That's what guys use to tell whether tits are fake or real, right?"

"Yeah, most fake tits don't bounce." He reached up to grab hers, squeezing gently. "Yours definitely move. Plus, most fake tits don't even feel like real ones. I'm a big fan of the handful... everythin' else is a waste, you know?" And wasn't it interesting how they went from talking about her stuffed animals to her breasts?

"Yeah, guess so." she said, shaking her head a little. She was wondering too how they went from one subject to the next. Vampires to stuffed animals to her breasts. It was quite the interesting train of thoughts. "One hundred percent really, sweetheart. Even if I am from Cali." She couldn't help but bite her bottom lip just slightly as he squeezed her chest. Her body obviously enjoyed his attentions and the thin sweater didn't make that hard to be noticed. "Having fun with those?"

"Yeah... looks like they're havin' fun too," Aiden said before he moved his hands down to the hem of her sweater. He slid the material up, past her chest before he leaned forward to place a kiss between the valley of her breasts. "Yours don't need to be any bigger. They're just fine as they are."

She shivered slightly when his lips pressed agianst her skin and let out a little breath as she watched him. "That so?" she questioned, eyes finding his. "Just fine the way they are?" God he was cute, even talking about random shit like boobs.

"Yup, just fine," Aiden agreed. "Unless you want me to start spouting some Irish poetry about the perfection of your breasts," he said, his lips trailing small kisses over the material of her bra, and up to the curves of her breasts. "I suppose I could do that, but then my mouth would be busy and I couldn't keep kissin' you."

"An Irish poem about the perfection of my breasts?" That was almost laughable, but kind of sexy all at the same time. "While that would be spectacular to hear, and definitely ego boosting, I think I'd much rather those kisses keep coming." Jules said as she pulled her sweater off the rest of the way and draped it over the back of the couch. Her eyes met his and she smiled a little then shrugged. "It was in the way."

He smiled when she pulled her sweater off before his hands slid up and around to her back where he unclasped her bra easily and dropped it onto the couch beside him. "So was that." He moved his hands to her waist, gliding them up until they hit her ribcage. He pulled her close and drew one nipple into his mouth, sucking softly. This was better than talking about shit like vampires and ghosts. Much better.

Well she hadn't expected that. Okay, so maybe she had expected that, just a little bit later than practically immediately, but damn did that feel good. She let out a little breath as his hands slid up her body, pulling her against him. Lips wrapping around her nipple and him sucking against it. Fuck. If he knew exactly how awesome that felt. And he probably did, which was most likely his reasoning for doing it. Making her come undone completely. "Oh, god..." she whispered, her fingertips sliding across his neck and up into his hair, all but holding him in place against her chest.

He wrapped his arms around her, holding her to him as his lips and teeth tugged and suckled on her breast. Aiden had always been more comfortable dealing with the physical aspect of any relationship, or non-relationship, he was in. He knew what he was doing there more than anything. There was no fumbling, no confusion or frustrations. One hand slipped around to her front, cupping her other breast and fanning his thumb over her nipple. He did want to make her come undone. He liked being in control and having that ability.

Jules arched her chest further against him making a curve out of her back. Fingers splayed at the back of his head and she let out a soft little noise. Her head lolled back on her neck and dark hair brushed across his hand that was still behind her. "You like torturing me..." she whispered.

Aiden released her breast and flicked his tongue over the taut nipple before he lifted his eyes to her face. Her face was flushed, which he felt fairly smug about, given it was flushed because of him. "Yeah, I do. And you like it too." Aiden brought his hand up to the nape of her neck and drew her down to him to kiss her.

Her fingertips slid through his hair, taking hold of the strands and clenching them within her fists. He was good at the torture, that was for sure. He knew what he was doing and he knew how to touch her and knew exactly where to press his lips and fingers to make the space between her thighs grow moist and warm. She kissed him back easily, lightly biting his lower lip and giving it a little tug.

While he kissed her, his hand slipped back to her breast, gently massaging and cupping it in his hand. He was more than a little turned on, but the pressure in his jeans was definitely worth it when she was sitting on his lap. He knew he wasn't going to do anything more than that, unless she asked him too. That was all part of the game, getting her to beg.

She was more than aware of the game and she could play it just as well as he could. She slid her fingers down his chest and dipped one set beneath his shirt, unbuttoning the button and dragging the zipper down without breaking the kiss. Her fingertips slid slowly across him and she let out a little moan of appreciation against his mouth. She didn't touch him skin on skin. She wanted him to beg first.

One thing Aiden Quinlan did not do was beg. And he wasn't about to break that rule now. He did, however, push himself up against her, his body appreciating the tiny bit of friction it caused. He pulled his mouth from hers and began to trail his lips down her jaw to her throat. He let his hands roam over every inch of bare skin he could reach in their position. He was pretty content with it, with the teasing... she was teasing him too, he knew that. And he wasn't going to give in first.

"Okay..." she whispered as his lips found her throat. "You win... I want you..." Jules wasn't stupid. She knew he was enjoying the teasing, waiting for her to break down and ask for him. Beg for him. She had no problems asking for what she wanted and right now she wanted him.

"I win?" Smirking, Aiden leaned back from her, though his fingers rubbed down along her ribcage. "What do you mean? This isn't a competition, is it?" It really was, and he loved that she got that. His hand moved down to touch between her legs through her jeans. "I mean, I get that you want me... that much is obvious. I can feel the heat from here, love."

She flushed a little more at those words. "Course it was a competition." she told him. "I guess I just want you a little more than you want me. That or I'm not as good at holding out as you, but regardless, you gotta stop teasing me or I'm going to explode." she whispered, rocking her hips against his hand, pushing her body against those fingers.

"You and your games," Aiden said with a tsk, though he was finding it hard to concentrate on teasing her when she was moving against him like that. "Thought you'd be stronger than that, love. But I get that I'm pretty damn irresistible." Aiden grinned and leaned back against the couch. "No more teasin' then... take off your jeans."

"Mmm..." she said with a roll of her eyes. "You be glad you're so damn irresistible." she told him as she slowly got up from his lap, slipping her shoes off and her socks to before letting her fingers slowly undo the buttons on her jeans and slide the zipper down. Fingers latched into the waistband and she slid the denim down her thighs, letting them puddle at the floor then pushing them away with her foot. "What about these?" she questioned, raising a brow as her fingers hooked into her panties.

He watched her, his one hand on his thigh, the other resting casually along the back of the couch. He loved it when women did what he told them to do. They might feign offense, but he was pretty convinced all women loved to be bossed around sexually. "Those too," he said with a nod, his gaze roaming over her and soaking in every naked inch. She looked damn good without clothes on and he was fairly certain he could just sit there and stare at her, like a work of art of something equally as corny.

She smirked a little at him and slid her panties down too, sliding them out of the way and glancing up at him. Her skin almost burned beneath his eyes and she just stood there for a long moment. "Should I do a spin or something since you seem to like just looking?" she teased, turning her body around slowly.

"Sure." Aiden grinned at her, motioning with his hand for her to do a little twirl. "Might as well appreciate it from all angles, you know?" God, she had a hot body. Firm, and flawless. He didn't know how he'd been able to resist it for so long. "You could run your hands over your body a bit too... I think I'd like that."

Jules smiled a little and tried not to flush. "I could do a little dance if you really wanted." she told him, taking a couple slow steps towards him after her little twirl. Her fingers rested lightly against her stomach and she slowly trailed them upwards to catch her breasts in her palms and then she picked up a motion, finding music even when there wasn't any. Following a nonexistent beat with the rocking motion of her body. "So Aiden...," she began with a little smile through the whisper. "Do you like what you see?"

He chuckled at her offer to dance, but resisted commenting. Making a comment, even if it was a joke, about a stripper pole probably wouldn't go over well. When she touched her breasts, his mouth seemed to go dry and he licked his lips before leaning forward on the couch to grab her hips and yank her toward him. He nuzzled her stomach before slipping a hand between her thighs. "I like what I see... and feel," he told her. His placed kisses along her abdomen and nipped his teeth at her hip bone.

Her head lolled on her neck slightly and she let out a hiss of a breath when he touched her. "Oh god..." she whispered, forcing her eyes open to glance down at him. "Feel how hot you make me?" she murmured, her voice low as he continued to tease her. Lips against her flesh, teeth against her skin. She could practically imagine what it would be like to have his lips and tongue against other parts of her body, but for now, his hand was doing a damn fine job.

He could definitely feel it... she was hot and wet and he was dying to have her again. Slipping his free arm around her waist, Aiden stood and swung her around easily until he could push her down onto the couch where he had just been sitting. Releasing her, he whipped his shirt off and dropped it beside him before he knelt down in front of her and pushed her thighs apart. He wasted no time ducking his head down to slide his tongue against her, not only wanting to feel how hot she was, but taste it as well.

She let out a breath, surprised by him so suddenly swinging her around. Before she could really think to say anything, he was pulling his shirt off and dropping to his knees before her. Fingers pushed her thighs apart and she opened her mouth to speak but the words were cut off, morphing into a groan as his tongue trailed across her wet heat. "Fuck..." she managed to get out, toes curling against the edge of the couch and one hand going to his hair, tightening against the strands as her hips rocked against his mouth.

That was the kind of reaction he had been aiming for, and Aiden grinned a bit against her before he moved his tongue against her again. He released her thigh and used his fingers to open her up to him, focusing now only on getting her off. Maybe a couple times, actually. He was feeling pretty generous... and horny. He just had to practice some patience. But he liked her like this, hot and spread out before him. His jeans were becoming almost unbearably tight.

Her fingers tightened even more in his hair, tugging the strands and all but forcing his face against her as her hips rolled in slow little movements against him. It was sexy for him to be there between her legs like this. To be touching her like that. And god was he good at what he was doing. "Mmm... Aiden..." she groaned out, her head falling back against the cushions of the couch.

He let her movements guide him to what felt good for her, for what she clearly wanted. Aiden massaged her inner thigh before he moved his hand between her legs and slipped a finger into her before pulling her clit between his lips and sucking. He knew he wouldn't last long once he was inside of her - he was too turned on and wound up now to take his time and go slow - so he wanted her to reach that peak first.

She moaned when he slid that finger into her, and then all but screamed as his lips found her clit and he sucked. It didn't take long. Not when he'd been teasing her first. The movement of his hand and that tongue of his. The fact that she had her eyes on him the entire time had her body shivering and convulsing in no time at all. "Oh... oh god... I'm gonna... gonna... ah.... god..." she grunted, her voice cracking with the orgasm as she pushed her hips up against his mouth and she fell over that edge, calling out his name in a ragged breath, pulling his hair but pushing his head against her at the same time.

He stroked his finger into her throughout her orgasm, suckling her and trying not to groan himself when she came. Releasing her, her massaged her clit with his thumb, his eyes on her face. "That's it, love..." Christ, a woman in the throes of an orgasm one was of the most, if not the most, sexiest thing he'd ever seen. When her body seemed to calm, he slid his hands up her thighs again, to her hips. He pushed himself up on his knees, placing kisses up her body. He tugged a nipple between his mouth again before inching up a couple more inches until he found her mouth.

She could care less about his mouth having been just between her legs. She could still taste herself on him when his lips pressed against hers. Letting out a shuddery groan against those lips, she tilted her head to kiss him more firmly, her fingers sliding up his back and back down again. After a long moment her breathing seemed to return to normal and she pulled her lips from his, though she didn't move them far away. "Fuck..." she whispered, eyes meeting his.

He opened his eyes to look at her when she pulled away, and Aiden couldn't help but smirk a bit. "Not yet, love... we're gettin' there." Jesus Christ, he wanted her. He wasn't sure he could make it up to her room, but he was going to have to try. His lips moved down to her neck, where he breathed her in and groaned. "Unless you're on somethin', we need to go upstairs before I make a really stupid decision and fuck you right here."

She bit her bottom lip as his lips brushed down her neck. "I'm a smart girl. You think I wouldn't take all the necessary precautions, love?" she whispered to him, her own lips brushing over his ear before biting it lightly and giving it the slightest little tug. "I want you inside me..." she whispered seductively against that bit of flesh, warm breath passing over his skin.

A part of him, the untrusting part, thought maybe she was fucking with him about being protected. It was a shitty thought, but he couldn't keep it from bubbling to the surface of his mind. A bigger part of him, the horny part, ignored the voice telling him to go get a condom and just get fucking laid. Aiden shuddered a bit at the feel of her breath on his skin and he slipped an arm around her again to shift her down onto the couch. He stood up and rid himself of his jeans, socks and boxers before he lowered himself to her. He slipped his arms under her knees and pushed her legs up and apart before thrusting into her hard. There was no reason to go slow, no reason to draw it out. He wanted her, and he was going to have her.

Even if Jules was a complete and total bitch, she'd have never lied about birth control. If she'd known what he was thinking, she probably would have had a choice few words to say to him about even letting the thought cross his mind. Of course she didn't, and after a few seconds he was between her legs and thrusting into her and... "Fuck.." she groaned out at the initial entrance. "Oh... oh god..." She very nearly went over right then as he pounded into her. Her fingers sliding across his body, clasping at anything and everything he could manage to get a hold of. Running across his back, sliding up into his hair and giving it a slight little tug.

It was an awkward position on the couch, but he made it work. It wasn't the first time he had ever done it there. Aiden pushed his toes against the arm of her couch for leverage, using it to push into her harder, and faster. His lips seared her throat and he nipped roughly at her skin with his teeth. His body was hot and pulsing and he released a sharp groan as everything began to tighten inside of him already. She felt so fucking good, and he was already on edge from making her come. Aiden moved up to tug her earlobe between his teeth, his breath coming out hot and fast against her face. "You like that sweetheart?" He loved the sounds she made, the way her hands moved over him. God.

She was practically singing his praises in the form of screams and moans, his name ripped from her lips between each thrust he made against her. God he felt good. Her nails scratched down his back, fingers sliding over his ass and giving it a squeeze, body rocking upwards against him and forcing him deeper inside of her. "Fuck... fuck me..." she grunted, leaning her head against his neck to bite him, teeth digging into his flesh.

He certainly wasn't going to deny that, and he pounded his hips harder against hers, loving the sound of her soft screams. They were so fucking hot, he was trying to hold on, but it was difficult. The feeling of her teeth and fingernails biting into his skin pushed him closer toward the edge. A strangled curse escaped his lips before he felt that delicious shiver down his spine. His entire body tensed as he spilled himself into her, grunting once before he buried his face against her neck and struggled to breathe.

She followed him over that edge. As soon as that fiery liquid filled her, she fell over. She was gone, screaming out his name and tightening her legs around his waist, holding him against her. For a moment there she was worried that she'd squeeze him to death with her thighs, but that thought left her as her body trembled against his. His lips against her neck, breath rushing out against her skin. The way his chest heaved against hers. Her fingers were still all over him as she calmed, sliding across his body, drifting upwards into his hair and tangling through the strands.

He lay where he was, breathing heavily and working on getting his heartbeat under control. She felt so good beneath him, with her legs around his waist, her breath against his skin. Finally he lifted his head up to look down at her. He had worked so hard on resisting her and now it was like he couldn't stop having her. It was frustrating to him, for some reason. "I'm squishing you," he muttered before lifting himself up and off of her. The couch wasn't the most comfortable place in the world for that sort of activity, as good as it had been.

She just lay there for a second when he pulled away from her, then she sat up and reached out to grab her shirt, pulling it to the front of her body and covering her chest. For some reason she couldn't help but feel like she'd done something wrong. He'd pulled away practically instantly and she couldn't figure out why. For a moment she didn't say anything, then she looked over at him. "Did I say something wrong, or something?" she questioned. Since when was Aiden Quinlan concerned about squishing someone? She'd been damn comfortable squished or not.

"No." He sat back on the couch, noting how she covered herself. It wasn't like he was up and running yet, right? "Couches just aren't that comfortable to begin with... didn't want to make it worse." He ran his hands over his face before looking at her again. "Why would you think you said somethin' wrong? You hadn't said anythin' at all," Aiden pointed out with a grin.

She shrugged a little. "I don't know. Figured it had to have been me if you were jumping up so fast..." she told him, feeling maybe a little better if it had just been an uncomfortable couch that made him move. "And I said plenty. It just came out in forms other than words is all. Totally not my fault that you hinder my vocabulary."

"I have that effect on women," Aiden said, his smile slipping into a small smirk. He bent over the side of the couch to grab his boxers and jeans and tug them on. "Are you hungry or anything?" He generally didn't do well post-sex with women unless it was in the process of saying goodbye. He didn't really know what else to say to her, or do, seeing as they were on her couch.

Jules rolled her eyes. "Someone has a gigantic ego." she smirked. "At least something of yours is big." She couldn't help but tease him a little as she got up from the couch, catching his cheek with her palm pulling his lips to hers and pressing a small kiss against them. "Kidding." she promised. "But yeah. Hungry, definitely. You're quite the way to work up an appetite." she smiled. She let him go again and found her panties, pulling them into place and grabbing her bra to do the same, clasping the fastenings together again.

"Ha ha," Aiden remarked with a roll of his eyes, though he did kiss her back. He zipped and buttoned his jeans before reaching for his t-shirt. "We can go out to find something to eat, unless you would rather stay in because of the ghosts. Totally up to you." He really didn't care either way as long as he got something in his stomach. And he needed a cigarette.

Venturing out into the cold and the ghosts didn't sound like a good idea to Jules and she told Aiden so. "I'm thinking stay." she smiled. "You're good, but not good enough to make me go out in the insanity... at least not yet. So, staying in it is. And you can smoke in the house." she added. "I know you need one. Hell, after that I need one and I don't even smoke."

"Staying in is fine." He grinned at her and stood from the couch, reaching for his jacket to pull out his cigarettes. "Don't want to smoke in your house. I'll step out on the porch and have one." Ghosts didn't scare him a bit. "You wanna order in some chinese or somethin'?" He figured that would be the easiest route, and he didn't want her cooking for him or anything.

"Chinese I think I can handle." she smiled, taking a step towards him and hooking her fingers through the front of his pants to pull him against her. "I'll order somethin' and then hop in the shower." she said, arching a brow slightly. "You're welcome to join me if you want. If you think you can handle me soaking wet that is. Wouldn't want to give you more than you could handle."

Aiden smirked down at her before brushing her hair behind her shoulder. "I think the chinese would arrive while we were still in the shower, and I doubt the delivery guy would stick around long enough for us to finish." He placed a quick kiss against her forehead before pulling out a cigarette and his lighter. "That doesn't mean you won't need another shower by the end of the night."

Jules couldn't help but grin at that, teeth showing just past full lips. "You do have a point there, dollface. Suppose I'll just have to wait for that particular type of shower til after you have a full tummy. I'll order and shower, you smoke. Maybe I'll get lucky and have no peeping tom ghosts."

"If you do, I'm sure you'll let it be known that you disapprove," Aiden told her, chuckling as he headed outside to light his cigarette. He could deal with watching the ghosts himself. At least he'd be able to keep an eye on them while he was out there. After chinese food, and maybe more, he'd have to leave her again. Hopefully that wouldn't cause any problems.

Jules did as she said she would, ordered them some food and got her shower. Cautiously. It was probably the most alert she'd ever been during a shower in her entire life. Carefully listening and looking out for ghosts should one decide that it wanted to catch a glimpse of her naked body. A few minutes later she returned to the living room, towel wrapped around her body and her hair damp and loose. She'd pulled a brush through it so at least it wasn't tangled. She contemplated getting dressed or not and had decided maybe she wouldn't have to, but for now she was just looking for the rest of her clothes before the delivery boy got there. She didn't want to leave them just lying around the house. "Aiden?" she questioned as she entered the room and glanced around for the man.

"Here," Aiden replied, having just stepped back into the house after flicking away the butt of his cigarette. He glanced at her and grinned at what she was wearing. Or lack thereof. "You gonna answer the door in that? I think that might be sufficient enough for a delivery tip."

Jules smiled at him and rolled her eyes. "Am I really that sexy?" she questioned, as if she didn't already think so herself. "But no, I wasn't really planning on answering the door like this. Just came down to grab my clothes and didn't feel like getting dressed first. And maybe I just wanted you to see me all damp from the shower." she smirked.

"If a man sees the promise of cleavage, I don't it matters whether or not your sexy," he said before pausing a beat. "Okay, maybe you have to be sexy. But thanks for the damp from the shower show." Aiden walked over to pick up her clothes for her. "It's definitely an image I'll be able to take home with me tonight."

She knew he'd be leaving, so she wasn't upset when he mentioned that possibility. He wasn't leaving right now and that made all the difference. "Men." she said with a shake of her head. "You just keep racking up images of me in your head don't you?" she grinned as she took the clothes from him. "Cash is on the table by the door for the delivery guy. I'm gonna toss these in the washer and get redressed and I'll be back in a few, okay?"

"Yeah." He had no intention of taking her money to pay for the food. He was perfectly capable of buying the chinese, and once she was gone he pulled out his wallet. Which seemed to be good timing, since the doorbell rang not too soon after. He paid for their dinner, tipped the guy - who seemed way too eager to get back into his car and leave - and went back inside to set it on her table. Sitting down, he rubbed his hands over his face again and sighed. He'd have to call Dorian to see if he knew anything about the ghosts. Hopefully Jules would get dressed so he wouldn't be so damn distracted.

She was dressed when she returned, though not completely covered. She'd end up going to bed when he left, she knew, so she wore a tight fitting pink tank top and a pair of too short shorts. She heard the bell when it rang and was just pulling her clothes on, so she came downstairs not too long thereafter. "You didn't use my money did you?" she questioned, folding her arms just under her breasts.

Oh, good, she'd dressed. Sort of. Somehow wearing those shorts were worse than if she were naked. Aiden glanced at her and then shook his head before starting to open the cartons of rice and food. "Had no reason to use your money when I had my own, right?" He may have been an asshole sometimes, or a bastard others, but he'd never feel right about making a woman pay for anything.

"I wouldn't have minded paying for it." she told him as she walked over to the table and sat herself down, crossing her legs and leaning over on her elbows against the tabletop. "I've already had one guy buy me dinner tonight who may or may not be a vampire. Are you sure you're not going to like... kill me?" she questioned with a brow arched teasingly.

"I'm pretty sure I won't be killing you," Aiden told her with an amused grin. "I'm no vampire... or anything else supernatural for that matter. Nor am I a psychopath - that I know of - so you're safe, I think." He sat down and pushed a carton of noodles over to her. "You'll be okay tonight, right?"

She nodded. "Yeah..." she told him. "You don't have to stay. It's alright." she assured him. "I'm a big girl I guess I just needed a little reassurance." Jules shrugged. "Was a lot to take all in and once. I wasn't prepared for it and I kinda feel like a loser now for making you come out here and everything..."

"Oh?" He cocked an eyebrow and tore open the package of Chinese sticks. "So that wasn't you that called be awhile back freaking out? Reassurance is fine... I can give you plenty of that. And I can tell you how to kill certain things that could be a threat." Aiden shrugged. "Like I told you before, Jules, all it takes is a bit of knowledge. You're not a loser. I probably would have come over anyway... at some point." Not that he liked admitting that.

She flushed a little when he called her on freaking out on the phone. "Yes, it was me, but I was going on the fact that I thought I was dreaming and then all of a sudden there were ghosts everywhere and it wasn't a dream." Jules let out a little sigh and pulled the little box closer to her, taking a package of sticks for herself. "You would have?" she questioned, eyes flicking up at him and then back down to the food before her.

"Yeah, maybe." He chuckled and took a bite of food. He didn't want things to get weird or 'too deep' between them because of that admission. It would just make him want to rush out the door a lot faster than usual. "I think you need to realize that anything weird you might see from here on out probably isn't a dream."

She furrowed her brow a little at him when he brushed it off with a 'maybe' and a laugh. "Well, I realize that now." she muttered, taking a bite of her food as she pushed her hair back behind her ear. She didn't know whether or not to be annoyed with him. Everything was so complicated. He liked her, or maybe he didn't. She wasn't really sure. She was just confused about the whole thing, but bringing it up wasn't going to happen. Instead, she fell silent as she ate.

Aiden glanced up at her from his food. He knew that he didn't always give the answers she probably wanted to hear, but Aiden didn't like to lie about certain things. "Doesn't mean you can't still call me if you've got questions... or you're afraid of somethin'. Somehow I doubt these ghosts'll be the last of things. Especially if they're showin' up all over the place now."

Maybe coming here was a mistake. she thought to herself, though she didn't say that out loud. She nodded. "Okay." Jules said, taking another bite of her food. She didn't like feeling helpless. She didn't like feeling like she had to be afraid of things at all. Didn't like that she had to call him to feel safe. She bit her bottom lip and glanced up at him. "You don't always have to show up to save me.." she told him. "I don't want you to feel like you're on call if I can handle something..."

"Honestly, I don't mind it. If you didn't call me, I'd probably be doin' one of two things... drinkin' at some bar, or... well, okay, there's really only that one thing." He really needed to get a job and go hunt some shit before he got too restless to handle it properly. "Besides, I think you can handle yourself just fine. Once you're aware and you know what's out there, you probably won't need to call me at all."

She didn't like the sound of that either. If she didn't call him, he wouldn't come over. And that? Well that sucked. "So when I don't need to call you, you won't need to come by anymore." she said a loud, though she'd not meant to. "Never mind, that's not fair for me to say."

"I said you won't need to call me," Aiden pointed out, cocking an eyebrow at her. "Not that you wouldn't want to call me. And it doesn't mean I wouldn't want to come over. There's a difference between need and want. You don't need play damsel in distress to get me to come over, if that's what you want."

She looked up at him again and raised her own brow at him. "So you're telling me that if I call you and just want you to come over because I want you to, you would?" she asked. "I mean... if you weren't doing anything or whatever?"

"As long as I wasn't in the middle of somethin' else... why wouldn't I?" It wasn't like there was a lot of shit to do in Marquette. Being with his sister, drinking with Dorian... hoping that his phone would ring so he could leave the damn place and go hunt. Spending time with a pretty girl wasn't something he would turn down.

"I don't know." she admitted. "Because you've got other girls to take up your time just as easily as you could have me taking it up." she shrugged. "I just don't want to feel like something you do when you're bored I guess."

He took another bite of food and watched her for a second before he was able to reply. Sure there were other women he could find to occupy his time... but it wasn't as if he went out with that in mind whenever he wanted a drink. He was still worried about Eury, and Jules was different. And he wondered how many men she had picked up because she was bored. Not that he was stupid enough to ask that. "Is that how you feel now?"

"Yes." she admitted. "And that's really shitty of me to say especially with my history, I know, but... I don't hang out with you because I'm bored." she told him. "There's more to it than that and it sucks because half the time... all of the time I think that I see you because I want to see you. I like seeing you, but it feels like you're in a rush to leave. Like you're afraid to stay too long because I might I don't know cling to your pant leg or something and I won't... I just... It sucks." Jules finally said. "I'm not a clingy little girl who doesn't know the difference between a boyfriend and a guy I have sex with."

Aiden watched her as she spoke, trying to absorb everything she was saying. When she quieted, he figured he ought to just say what he felt, rather than trying to sit there and think of something that wouldn't get him hit. "I know you're not a clingy little girl. And I don't come over here because I'm bored. If that were the case, I'd be over here a lot more than I am because other than the occasional supernatural thrill? This town is boring as hell, sweetheart and I've only stuck around for three people. I'm not a guy who really does girlfriends. My job and my lifestyle don't exactly make having a girlfriend possible. If it feels like I'm in a rush to leave, sometimes I am. Sometimes I don't like lettin' myself get comfortable in one spot."

She wanted to say that she could be that he wouldn't have been in a rush to leave if she was Eury, but she kept her mouth shut. Didn't say anything, just nodded and looked back down at her food. Words would just get her in trouble. It wasn't worth the argument and all arguing would do is make him leave faster. Like she really wanted that to happen.

"You're allowed to say what you're thinkin'," Aiden told her, mildly irritated at her silence. Again, he knew it wasn't exactly what she probably wanted to hear, but he'd been telling the truth when he said he didn't only see her because he was bored. "I'm not gonna jump down your throat, or get angry. I'd rather you talk then go the silent route."

"I don't want to say what I'm thinking." she told him, eyes flicking up to catch his. "So don't make me. Let's just forget about it, alright? I'm not going to 'go the silent route' I just didn't have anything to say."

Aiden shrugged one shoulder. "Fair enough." He wasn't going to push her if she didn't want to talk. If she had nothing to say, so be it. He went back to eating, thinking it was probably best if he left once they were done with food. The last thing he wanted was to start fighting with her.

Jules ate silently. Not glancing up at him until she'd finished eating. Folding the little box closed, she brushed her hand through her hair. "Guess you'll be leaving now then?" she questioned.

Aiden stabbed his chopsticks in the remainder of his rice and nodded. "Yeah, guess so. Since you don't have anythin' to say, and I really don't at the moment... probably would be better." He pushed back from the table and stood. He wasn't entirely sure what had happened, but he wasn't surprised. Women tended to get pissy like that around him. Sometimes he knew why, and sometimes he didn't. "Call me if you need anythin'. I'll be around."

"Aiden..." she said, looking down at the table and then up at him again. "I didn't mean to be rude... I was just asking a question is all... and believe me, you don't want to know what I wanted to say because you'll just get pissed. Whether you think you will or not. I don't want to fight with you and I don't want you to leave all angry..."

"I answered your question," he pointed out. "I told you I wasn't over here because I was bored. I'm not sure what else you wanted me to say. I'm not fightin' with you, and I'm leavin' angry. You're the one who got quiet after I answered you. Don't know what else there is to say at the moment."

"I got quiet to keep from pissing you off." she told him. "And all that seemed to accomplish was doing the exact opposite. We realy need to start fighting first and having angry sex after instead of getting along sex and then fighting. It's fucking ridiculous." Normally Jules didn't cuss a lot, but she was angry. Annoyed with him for leaving. Annoyed because she knew she'd never live up to Eury. And that was the bottom line. She'd never be enough for him to want to be with. Did she want to be with him? She wasn't honestly sure. "Whatever, it doesn't matter. I'd appreciate it if you'd take the money on the table when you leave. It'll pay for my part at least. I'm going to bed." And with that she stood from the table and made to leave the room, wanting him to stop her, but knowing he wouldn't.

"It seems you don't know me well enough to gauge my moods, because I'm not pissed off," he told her. "I'm fuckin' confused as hell, yeah, but not pissed off. You asked a fuckin' question, didn't you? I answered it. I thought I gave a somewhat decent answer. Would you have preferred it if I told you I was only here because I didn't have anythin' better to do with my time? Or are you pissed because I admitted that I'm not always entirely comfortable with situations I find myself in? I'm not really sure." Okay, so now he was pissed off. He went over to pull on his socks and shoes, eager to leave now. He had no intention of taking her money. "Be pissed at me, Jules, that's fine."

"If you're not comfortable being here with me then why the fuck are you!?" she questioned, turning to face him again. "So you're not bored enough to come fuck me but as soon as you do you're ready to leave because you're not fucking comfortable?! If I was Eury you wouldn't be in such a god damn hurry to leave me..." Jules' mouth stayed open after that slipped out and she made a pained face. A cross between hurt and confusion. "I'm sorry..." she said, shaking her head and heading for the stairs.

"I can't change myself overnight," he snapped, shoving his foot into his shoe. "I can handle certain things, okay? Some shit, it takes awhile. There's a lot of shit about me you don't know. You know how long it took me to get comfortable with Eury? Fuck, I don't even think now I'm one hundred percent. I avoid that kind of stuff as much as I can, for reasons that make perfect sense to me, but wouldn't to you. But guess what? Where was I tonight? Here. With you. Instead of leaving town to find her." And that pissed him off for a variety of reasons. Grabbing his keys from his pocket, he headed for the door. What was it with women? They were so goddamn up and down. He couldn't take it anymore. Celibacy was sounding really good about now.

He was right. He was here. With her. Not out trying to find Eury. And that was confusing for a whole other set of reasons. "Aiden... wait..." she said, turning back towards him and walking over to shift herself between him and the door, reaching out to grab the hand that held his keys. "You're right. You were here... with me..." She paused for a moment trying to come up with something else to say. God she didn't want him to leave. Didn't want him angry with her. Didn't know why she kept pushing him and pushing him just forcing him to leave instead of holding on for dear life. "Why do you avoid that kind of stuff?" she questioned. "Maybe if you told me I wouldn't feel like I'm not good enough for you... I've never been not good enough for anything in my life, Aiden. If I wanted it, I got it... and you... you make me feel like no matter how much I try I won't be good enough for you because I'm never going to be Eury. When we... do you think of her? When you're with me?" she questioned. "Do you wish that you were with her instead of me?"

Aiden sighed impatiently when she stepped in front of the door. He didn't want to do this all night - argue back and forth over something ridiculous. "I don't just open myself up to anyone. I never had. There's stuff about me Dorian doesn't even know yet. Do you get that? But you get pissed, probably because I'm not like other guys who fall over themselves to get to you. That's just... I'm not that kind of guy. I'm never going to be that kind of guy. If you don't feel good enough for me, that's because of your issues. And no, I don't think of her. That's a stupid fuckin' question, Jules, and it kind of pisses me off. Jesus."

"Okay, you're not that kind of guy and I am good enough?" She sighed and shook her head. "And I'm sorry if that question pissed you off but you're like... in love with the girl, what do you expect me to think? I wasn't sure, so I asked. You can't get mad at me for asking a question."

"Most women are too good for me, Jules. If you really think you're not good enough for me? Then you've got as many issues as I have." Aiden tensed and tried not to flinch too terribly at her comment. "In love with...? I'm not in love with Eury. I care about her. Do you think if I were really in love with anyone I'd be fuckin' around with someone else? No, I can't get mad at you for askin' a question, but you can't get mad me for answerin' one either."

"It's not that I think I'm not good enough for you." she told him. "It's that I don't think I'll ever be what you want... because I'm not her. Obviously you wanted her at some point. Maybe still do, I don't know... You care about her, you care about me, I think... And no, I can't get mad at you for answering a question. I'm not mad, I'm just... confused.."

"Well you're sure as hell confusin' me." He reached up to her his hand over his eyes briefly. "I thought we were just gonna let this be what it is. Just... enjoy one another. No confusions or complications, Jules. It seems like whenever somethin's good, you suddenly have all these questions or thoughts. And when I can't answer 'em the way you want me to, you get angry."

"Maybe I shouldn't ask anymore questions." she said with a nervous little laugh, giving him the tiniest of smiles. She too his hand in hers and linked her fingers through his. "I don't want to argue with you and I don't want to push you away because I ask questions about stuff and I don't get angry I just... get confused about the whole thing. There's a difference." she pointed out. "Half the time you think I'm mad before I even get there. And that is the part that pisses me off. No more questions alright? You like me, I like you, I'm not Eury, you don't want me to be. Right? That covers everything doesn't it?"

"Just about... look, you can ask questions. But I don't want to answer questions about Eury. And I don't want to answer questions about whether or not I'm thinking of her while I'm with you. Eury has nothing to do with you, and vice versa, okay?" It was a touchy subject, obviously. And Jules was the last person he wanted to talk about it with. "I like spendin' time with you, otherwise I wouldn't be here. You gotta just be happy with that for now, okay?"

"Okay..." she nodded. "No questions about Eury. How bout I just don't mention her and if we do anything, you make sure to acknowledge me by name or something." she teased. She let his hand free and moved her fingers up his chest and around his neck, pulling him down into a hug whether he wanted it or not. "I really am sorry." she told him. "And I am happy with you liking to spend time with me." she added.

He rolled his eyes, but managed to smirk anyway. "Yeah, okay. I'll do my best to say your name. The stubborn side of him hesitated before he hugged her back. When he got angry, he liked to stay angry, at least through a couple pints. "Don't be sorry... just... I don't handle shit well when I'm put on the spot. I like taking things at my own pace, even if it drives everyone else mad."

"Yeah, you better say my name or I'm just gonna have to make sure to do something to make you never forget me, baby." she whispered against his ear. "And okay, I'm not sorry. And okay, take things at your own pace." she smiled, not letting go of him just yet. "And yes, it does drive me completely out of my mind, but... I'll deal with it. I mean, you are far too pretty to let walk away."

Aiden rolled his eyes, but lowered his hands to her hips anyway. "Right... not gonna find another piece of arse this fine in Marquette. Maybe next time I see you there'll be no fightin' okay?" That would be great. Fantastic even. He didn't want this kind of pattern to continue, otherwise he'd have to avoid her. And he didn't want to do that.

She pulled back enough to look at him, and lower herself to be on her feet again and not her tiptoes. Raising a brow she gave him a teasing look. "Maybe you have a point of being the finest piece of ass in Marquette I've found, but can you really say you've found someone like me here?" she questioned with a smile. "You're not the only pretty thing in this room, dollface. And yeah... no fighting. We can just skip straight to the sex and... I might put that mirror back up again." she grinned. "It's in the closet just begging to be put back up because your ass is damn fine and not seeing it while you're in action? Totally unfair."

"Yeah, but somethin' tells me you don't want to sit at home, admire your pretty face all alone and resort to havin' to please yourself." He chuckled at her comment and nodded. "Yeah, put that mirror back up. I have a feelin' you'll be on top anytime we're in there. I'd much rather watch that."

"I think you'd be here if you knew I was pleasing myself. Since you seem so keen on watching." she teased, giving him a little wink. "And I might have to be on top next time anyways because you've had your chance to be in control both times. Time to let me have the reigns for once, don't you think?"

"You've enjoyed it both times too," Aiden pointed out. And if they kept talking about sex, he wasn't going to leave, even though he knew he had to. "I've got to go," he told her, reaching out to push her hair back behind her shoulder. "Get that mirror back up, yeah?"

"Oh, I've enjoyed it." she nodded, leaning up one last time to press a kiss against his cheek. She wanted to really kiss him, but she'd leave that decision up to him. If he wanted to kiss her, he could. "I'll get it back up." she smiled. "Before you come over next." Of course that meant she'd have to hire someone to do it, but she'd be sure it got done.

"I bet you will." He leaned in to brush a kiss over her lips before pulling away and reaching for the door. "And I meant it, Jules... if anythin' happens, or you need somethin', just call me, okay? I'll be around." As long as he wasn't drunk out of his mind for one reason or another.

"Okay." she promised. "I'll call if I need you." And she would when she needed him, she was sure of that. She stepped out of his way and let him open the door, the cool air hitting her and making her shiver. "Go on. Get. I'm freezin'." she smiled.

That wasn't such a horrible thing, since he could see her nipples through her tank top. Which was right piggish of him, but who the fuck cared. "'Night, Jules." He grinned at her and headed out, already pulling a cigarette from his pack. He'd probably need to smoke at least three before he got home to calm himself. And then he needed a drink. Badly.
