Who: Kavin and Skye
When: Between second and third
Where: Hallways

Kavin was between classes when he saw Skye. He might not have known the girl all that well, but hey, parties were meant to be big and every person counted. If he invited her, she'd invite someone else, and so on and so forth. Word of mouth was a blessed thing, so he shifted his backpack on his shoulder and made his way towards the girl. "Hey you." he said as he approached her. "How're you?"

Skye blinked, then looked up at Kavin and smiled. "I'm alright, thank you for asking. You look much better than you did before." She closed her own locker and slung her backpack onto one shoulder. "I hope you're feeling better."

He smiled and nodded. "Yeah, feeling a lot better actually. Planning on celebrating it. Part of the reason I came over." he admitted. "See, Halloween's next week and I wanted to do something for it and now that I'm not feeling like ass anymore, I thought I'd throw a party. So Saturday there'll be one at my place. Thought you might like to come and what not."

She grinned. "Thank you, I'd like to come. Maybe I'll irritated Chrissy and come as a real cowgirl. I got the hat after all." She was kind of annoyed at Aaron for being a bit of a big-mouth and Chrissy for going off and doing her own thing, and that kind of left her in the lurch to deal with everyone else at the lunch table. Whoo. "And everything else to go with it."

"Come as whatever you like." he grinned. "Tell whoever you want to. Figure it'll be a big thing. Everyone's gotta party for Halloween." Kavin couldn't help but smile a little wider when she said she wanted to irritate Chrissy. "You and Ms. Queen Bee not getting along or something?"

"Eh. It's more of a not really hanging out sort of thing?" Skye shrugged. "I see her sometimes at lunch, but seriously they do this thing where they start talking and not make sense about things like hair and gossip and other weirdness." She shook her head and sighed. "It's... something else."

Kavin scrunched his nose at that. "Yeah, I gotcha. Don't like her myself because she can be a bitch. No offense... I mean... she's your friend or whatever." he shrugged. "But yeah, definitely come to the party. Make some new friends. Let her gossip all weekend about clothes and shit."

Skye gave him a half smile. "Okay. I'll come just to randomly meet people and so you can see an authentic stetson just because you're such a nice guy." She grinned. "And like I said before. I don't drink, so I can drive people home as needed."

"My little designated driver. What would I do without ya?" he grinned. "Meet new people and ditch the queen bee. Hang out with some geeks or something and really throw her off her high horse. Chrissy Chapman's friend choosing the losers over her?! O. M. G. She'd just DIE." Kavin laughed.

"Good God, you can mimic them perfectly. Have you ever considered doing wild animal documentaries?" Skye asked dryly. "And you'd... I don't know. Find someone else to drive people home? I'm not that special in that regard there."

"Don't be so down on yourself. You're special. Really special considering about 90ish percent - probably more than that - of the people that I've invited or will show up to the party will be drinking. Being a non-drinker really helps. You'd be surprised."

"Right." Skye grinned. "I dunno about that. But hey, if you need some cattle branded I'm your girl for sure. Oh look. They're already at it." She plastered a great big grin on her face that looked completely false as a couple of the people from Chrissy's table came by. "Isn't that wonderful."

Kavin rolled his eyes. "Dumb bitches." he said, loud enough for them to hear. He really couldn't give a shit less about Chrissy and her little clan. They could all take a flying leap off a cliff for all he cared. "I should probably get to class." he said with a sigh. "Can't miss out on all that learning. Or something like that. But I'll definitely see you Saturday then?"

"Definitely." Skye grinned at him - for real, not the fake one she had on a moment ago. "It'll be fun."

"I'll see ya then." he smiled, shifting his bag again to the opposite shoulder and giving the girl a wave as he took to his path towards class once more. "Bye, Skye."
