Who: Lucius and Marlowe
Where: A Cabin in AuTrain, Michigan
When: Early Evening

While Lucius unpacked the chicken and side dishes they had picked up for dinner in AuTrain, Marlowe got dishes, silverware, napkins and the like from the cabinets and drawers in the kitchen to use as a place setting for two. They had arrived there a couple hours ago, and after getting themselves settled into the cabin, and doing a bit of exploring around the general area outside the cabin the pair jointly decided on making a drive into town to get dinner instead of making any kind of attempt at cooking.

"Maybe we can walk one of the trails after we eat." Marlowe said opening up the lines of communication as she starting setting the table for two. She would have suggested building a fire in the fire pit outside in front of the cabin to sit in front of just enjoying each other's company. But that would so not be anywhere near a good idea considering Lucius' view on a fire of any type.

He smiled as he set up the food on the table, divvying up the chicken and sides onto their plates. "Sounds like a plan. Let's just hope we don't get lost out in the great big wilderness." he teased. "Wouldn't want to make a meal for those furry woodland creatures out there." He kissed her cheek and made his way towards the fridge. Pulling it open he surveyed the contents. "What do you want to drink, babe?" he questioned, giving her a glance.

"I ain't sharin you with any one or anything, Baby." She tossed back at him with a playful grin tugging at the edges of her mouth. The redhead settled in at the table amidst the savoring aromas of the food that covered the table. "A bottle of water'd be fine." Marlowe told him.

He nodded and grabbed a pair of water bottles out of the fridge and returned to the table. He handed her one and then took the chair across from her. "It's going to be awesome to not have to deal with shadows all weekend." he said with a smile. It was really hitting him now after nearly a full day with not a shadow in sight. "It's nice to get back to... normal I guess." He gave a slight chuckle at that. "Not that I've ever really been all that 'normal' to begin with."

"Thanks." She said with the taking of the offered bottle. With a quick twist of the cap Marlowe had the thing open and took a quick drink of the chilled liquid. "If you're looking for total normancy, you've stopped at the wrong town and got yourself stuck with the wrong girl." She told him with a smile. "So." Marlowe took a small bite of her chucken, swallowing quickly before continuing. "Welcome to not so normal." A soft smile offered across the table to her guy.

He manged a couple of bites while she spoke. Swallowing he gave her a smile. "I think normal is highly overrated and honestly, I wish I'd realized that a while back. My life would have been so much more interesting." Taking a sip of his own water he continued with his train of thought. "And I'm definitely convinced that you're the 'right' girl, so I know that I'm in the 'right' place."

She blushed lightly at his latter comment with a slight dip of her head and gaze toward her plate of food. It seemed that when the were alone, and away from the general population, Marlowe would be caught in a blush at something Lucius said, did, or just simply the way he looked at her. She had a feeling that he'd always have that affect on her. Not that anyone'd find her complaining, even in the slightest of ways, about it. "It's good then that you aren't wanting normal." With a soft smile her eyes lifted to sweep across the table to catch those blue-greens of his.

"Now, Mar... I do believe you're blushing." he teased, reaching across the table to give her hand a gentle squeeze. "Red looks good on you." he smirked and gave her a wink. He took a few more bites of his chicken and a sip or two of his water before letting his eyes find hers again. "So, aside from a possible romp through the forest, what else do you wanna do?" he questioned.

"Brat." She chuckled crumpling up a napkin to toss across the table at him. Wasn't like she could keep herself from blushing on occasion while in his presence. It was just something that seemed to creep up on her all sudden like. "I think the place has a small collection of DVDs, maybe select one to toss into the dvd player to watch, with a little bit of snuggling tossed in. Or we could just sit and talk for a bit. You know a little getting to know you more session." She offered up as possibilities as to what to do after the walk through the woods surrounding the cabin.

He nodded. "I like the idea of getting to know you..." he told her. "Seems like the more I find out, the more I like..." It was an honest statement. A small part of him wondered if there was something that he wouldn't like about the girl. So far everything he learned just made him care about her more. Each secret she divulged, each path she lead him down just drew him closer to the redhead. "So... A walk and then, maybe some music, talking... what do you think?"

"I think we've got our evening all planned out." She smiled, masking the unease she felt creeping up inside her. She knew it had to be done, but Marlowe wasn't all that sure she'd beable to fit in her little revelation somewhere during their talking. Somehow the red head didn't think she'd be able to fit her thoughts into words when the time availed itself to her.

Grinning he went on with finishing up the food on his plate. "God, I'm stuffed." he muttered, patting his stomach lightly when he was finished. He took another sip of his water and replaced the cap, standing from his seat and beginning to clear his dishes from the table. "You okay?" he questioned. "You seem like you've got something on your mind..." he said, returning to the table and letting his arms drape across her shoulders from behind, planting a kiss against the crimson locks atop her head.

"Guess I'm just a little concerned about Ivan. Think maybe we can call him a little later, just to check and see how he's doing?" The red head asked to try and cover her slightly distracted mood. Marlowe ate a bit more of her meal then, though not having as much of an appetite as she first did at the start of their meal.

He nodded. "We'll give him a call." he assured her. "I'm sure he's doing fine babe, he was pretty stable when we left, but we'll call him tonight, okay?" he told her softly.

Marlowe tipped her head back to smile genuine up to him. "He's lucky to have you as a friend, you know that."

He shrugged a bit at that. "I just hope that having me as a friend is enough." he told her. Part of him wondered if Ivan would truly be able to accept Marlowe as a huge part of his life and friendship was all he could offer. He bent down to give her a quick kiss. "Ready for that walk?"

"Yeah." After Lucius had moved from behind her Marlowe eased her chair out to stand. She took care of the reminants still on her plate, wrapping it all up to stick in the fridge, then she set to work collecting what was left in the original containers, putting it all into the fridge beside her leftovers. It would be nice to get out and hopefully let her thoughts drift to something else then what was eating away at her mind.

Reaching for her hand, he lead her out towards the door of the cabin. Knowing outside it was going to be crisp, he grabbed her jacket and held it out to help her into it. "I'm not going to let you freeze out there." he told her. "Leave it open a bit though, so at least I'll get the pleasure of warming you up when we get back." he teased.

"In that case, you sure you want to take that walk." Marlowe turned to face him, arms fitted snuggly at his hips as those soft, chocolate browns raised to catch his twin pools of blue-green.

He raised an eyebrow at the girl, letting his eyes fix on hers. "Well if given the choice between venturing out in the cold to take my chances with bears and other furry creatures, or staying here with you looking at me like that..." he told her dropping the jacket, his voice lowering a bit with each word he uttered. His mouth drifted downwards to hers, his hand cupping her cheek as he softly pressed his lips against hers. And there was that electricity. The fire that was always smoldering inside him. A spark in the embers.

"You rather chance it with the furry beasts roaming the woods." She whispered against the softness of his lips with a returning of the kiss given. She had felt it too, the spark that flickered within with the briefest brush of his lips against her own. The fire that would slowly burn within her whenever she was in his company.

He shook his head, a small movement that could almost go undetected. "I'd rather take my chances with you...." he whispered back. His free hand moved across her arm, fingertips dancing on the skin. His hand moved to her hip, resting lightly against her.

Marlowe pulled back just a little, her gaze falling to his chest. Watching the slow, rhythmic movements it made as he breathed in and out. "Maybe we can retire a bit earlier tonight then planned." Teeth catching the edges of her lower lip as fingertips grazed in a light, slow motion across his chest.

He nodded slowly, but let his fingertips curl around her chin, moving her face to look up at him again. "I wanna do something first..." he said, giving her a quick kiss and moving away to find his duffel bag. Rummaging through it he found his demo CD and walked over to the dvd player, popping the disc in he flipped through to the correct song, the song he'd sang for her that first night. "Come here." he told her softly, beckoning her closer.

She moved toward him in slow light steps. Her hand reached out for his as she neared him while the soft sounds of the selected song slowly filled the room. She could feel the gentle racing of her heart in her chest as she stood just inches in front of him. Her eyes, smoldering pools of brown, lifted to catch his. A hand moved in a slow rise to caress lightly along his cheek.

His hand moved to cover hers at his cheek, slowly maneuvering it to his shoulder. His other hand found hers, cupping it as he used the other to find her hip. "Did you know I could dance?" he questioned softly. He stepped closer, letting their bodies come flush to each other.

"I think you're capable of doing just about anything." She whispered back. Afraid if her voice rose any higher it would break the spell he seemed to have cast over her. That all this would simply fade away to black. That this moment of magic would just turn out to have been some wondrous dream she had had.

He smiled at that, his fingertips trailing from her hip, coming to rest at the small of her back as he leaned her over into an unexpected dip. "Is that so?" he questioned. "Capable of anything?" Slowly pulling her back up he squeezed the hand clasped in his slightly. "It's nice to get some time with you and not have to worry about anything..." he said softly.

"Anything." She grinned back as he pulled her back up from the unexpected dip. "I think this time is well deserved. For both of us."

He nodded. "That it is." he agreed. "Well deserved and well appreciated." he smiled softly at her, his fingertips tracing small circles across the back of her shirt.

Her eyes fluttered closed as she fell lightly against him, her head rested gently against his shoulder as Lucius danced them slowly to the rhythmic sound of the music playing as the song seemed to near its end. She could stay with this moment for an eternity. "Do you know how much I love you." A soft whisper against the gentle beat of his heart.

He nodded. "A mere fraction of how much I love you..." he replied. The song ended and silence enveloped the room, but he didn't discontinue the dance, instead he moved her hand to his chest, resting it above his heart. "Listen to the beat..." he told her, moving his hand to her chest and finding her heartbeat. "Follow it."

She moved her hand to his to take a gentle hold of it. Without a word, enveloped within the silence of the room, Marlowe led Lucius through the place to the bedroom they were sharing. If things were going to break. Crumple and die after her revelation, Marlowe wanted one more lasting moment. A cherished memory to hold on to.

Once she'd led him into the bedroom, he let his hands find her hips he pressed his lips to hers. His tongue lightly grazing the pout of her lower lip, taking a moment to revel in the taste of her kiss. Tilting his head slightly, he deepened the kiss, his tongue dancing over her lips to gain entrance into her mouth, searching out her tongue and moving against it.

She whimpered softly against the forcefulness of his kiss. Her body pressing firmly against his as her arms snaked tightly around his neck. His nearness, the sweet taste of his lips, the way he smelled. It was all overpowering her. Burning her up with pure desire. Marlowe found herself somehow managing to kick the door closed before dragging Lucius toward the bed.
