Who: Aiden and Jules
When: Noon
Where: Jules' home

As promised, Aiden pulled up in front of Jules's house at noon, the box of bullets that she would probably need clutched in his hand. Rather, he hoped she didn't need them, but in this town, one never knew. He certainly didn't want her thinking because she had a gun that she needed to go out and start shooting at any animal that passed by. Somehow he doubted she would, but Aiden was never one to turn off any possibility. Especially with women. Turning off his car, he got out and tossed his cigarette before walking up to her front door and knocking tersely.

Jules had gotten off for a lunch a bit early. Well, she'd asked for it to be a little earlier in time to catch Aiden, but Derek had shooed her away for the rest of the day. He seemed preoccupied with something or other, but she really didn't much care because it was the rest of the day free and off so she gladly took it. She'd already changed into jeans and a t-shirt by the time the knock came at the door. She came downstairs and pulled it open, stepping aside and letting him in as she put her hair up in a ponytail. "Hey you."

"Hey." It would have been easier just to hand the box over and go back to his car, but he stepped inside of her house anyway, reaching up with his free hand to readjust the hat on his head. "I need to see what kind of gun you have," Aiden told her, getting to the point. "Want to make sure these'll work for ya, should you need to use them."

She nodded, figuring he'd need to see it. She'd gotten it out of storage on her way home. Jules shut the door behind him and went to grab the gun from where she had it sitting in it's case on her desk. She opened the case, made sure the safety was on and walked back over to hand it to him. "Here you go." she said. She handed it over to him. "Where are you going to be during all this?" she asked him. "Are you going to be somewhere safe?"

He took the gun from her and walked over into her living room to sit down. He decided he wasn't going to give her all of the bullets he'd brought, but he would load the gun for her and hope that would be enough. "I'll be fine," Aiden told her, focusing now on the gun. "I'll be with Dorian." His eyes lifted to her face briefly. "He told me you two met."

"Yeah." she said, sitting herself down on the couch. "That was... interesting." Jules wasn't sure what to make of Dorian. He was a nice guy, but she always ended up saying the wrong thing to him. "He's nice. But somehow, I really don't think he likes me. Or something, I don't know... it was confusing really. Every time I opened my mouth the wrong thing came out."

"Don't know," Aiden said as he began to reload the gun with the proper bullets. "Maybe he thought you were coming onto him and it made him uncomfortable. Or maybe there was just miscommunication." Sure, it irked him a little bit to think Jules would have come onto Dorian, even after knowing who Dorian was, but it wasn't like he had any right to feel irked, so he didn't let that show.

"Come on to him?" she questioned with the raise of a brow. "Please. That's the way I am. Flirted, maybe. But I wouldn't have done anything with him. He's your friend... I mean... I know that we're not together but isn't that still kinda bitchy of me to do?" Jules asked, leaning back against the sofa cushion and letting out a little sigh. "The only reason I even flirted with him was because I was somewhat annoyed with you. You asked him for advice about me? Isn't that like stabbing him in the heart or something? 'So, Dorian. I screwed the chick you wanted, and now I can't decide if I want to screw this other chick. Help me?'."

He didn't look at her, but instead stayed focused on the gun in his hand, determined now not to let his temper rise to the surface as he so desperately wanted to do. The last thing he wanted was to argue with her and then go off hunting, and then soon after, leave town on a job. "You don't know anything about my friendship with Dorian," he said calmly, finishing with the gun and holding it loosely in his hand. "Not too many people do." Aiden finally turned and looked at her, one eyebrow raised curiously. "Would you have slept with him? Ya know, just to help him even the score between us?"

Jules' mouth dropped open a little. "I teased him about that, trying to make him feel better, but it backfired. And no. I wouldn't sleep with him. Not to even the score, not to anything. Contrary to popular belief, I do have a soul and I like you... That's just..." she sighed and shook her head. "I wouldn't have slept with him." she finally ended up saying again, turning her attention away from him, eyes moving to focus on anything but him.

"He didn't mention anything about that," Aiden told her. "That was just one of my own thoughts. I think he felt like he'd come across as rude to you, which he felt bad about. Thing about Dorian is, he speaks his mind, and sometimes it's not what people want to hear. As for teasing him to make him feel better, I don't think you need to worry yourself with that, okay?" He offered her back the gun, loaded now and with the safety on.

"Of course he came across as rude to me. He told me I was 'easy'." Jules said as she took the gun and got up from the couch, putting it back into the case. "Doesn't matter what I might do in my free time, no girl likes to be called easy. Apparently he missed the memo. Doesn't matter anyways. Maybe I needed to hear it. Realize how much of a slut I really come across as."

"You don't come across as a slut," Aiden sighed. He stood from the couch but didn't take another step. "Dorian didn't really mean to say it that way. I guess if he thought you were comin' on strong - at least in his mind - that's how he saw it. I don't think there's anything wrong with a woman enjoying sex and I doubt he does either. But I've talked to him about you and I think even the flirting probably got his back up."

"I wasn't doing anything differently than I normally do. Guys usually talk in a certain way, most of the people I hang out with are guys. I just did what I normally do and it didn't go well. And you barely even talk to me about me, why'd you have to go and talk to him about me?" she questioned. Jules didn't turn to face him once she'd closed the case and fastened it shut.

"Why does it matter?" Aiden asked, crossing his arms. "I didn't tell him your life story, if that's what you're thinking. Guys like to get advice too, you know. It's not all about beer, sports and bitches." He managed a small smile, hoping to lighten the mood. "Does it bother you that Dorian knew who you were? That I talked to him about you?"

"I don't know." she shrugged, still refusing to turn to face him. "I don't know how to feel about it. I mean, maybe I should be glad you went to him for advice. At least I'm worth bringing up in conversation. I don't know. It's all just really fucking confusing is all." Jules said, brushing a loose strand of hair behind her ear.

Aiden chuckled softly. "Welcome to my world, love." He walked over to her, touching her shoulder to turn her around and face him. "You're definitely worth bringin' up in conversation, Jules. You're worth a lot more than you think." He motioned toward the case holding her gun. "Please tell me you know how to fire that thing. I mean, really fire it."

"I wouldn't have it if I didn't know how to fire it. Kind of pointless. That's how I got rid of the fucking shadow that came out of the mirror that was on my bedroom ceiling." she explained. "Shot the fucker. Wanna see the bullet hole in my wall?" she questioned, looking up at him.

He couldn't help but laugh a bit at the question before shrugging with a nod. "Sure, why the hell not? Have you kept the hole in your wall as some kind of memento?" That must have been a fucking surprise, watching a violent shadow seep from a mirror you usually used to watch yourself having sex. That would most definitely ruin the afterglow, he imagined.

"I just haven't had the chance to patch it up." she shrugged. Jules lead him upstairs to her bedroom. It was neat inside, bed made and everything. The hole still there in the wall closest to the foot of the bed. She pointed it out. "I came out of the bathroom and there it was, at the foot of the bed, so I shot it." she shrugged. "And yeah, this is my bedroom." she said, with a wave of her hand around the room.

Aiden followed, glancing around the bedroom as he entered. It was a shame the mirror above the bed was gone, he would have really loved to see it, as weird as it might have been. He turned where she pointed to see the bullet hole. "At least you're quick on your feet. Shot a few of the fuckers in my house too. I don't think I'll be getting my deposit back, unless I patch them up myself."

"Well I couldn't let it fucking eat or claw me to death whatever the fuck those things do." she sighed. "You're really leaving town?" she asked. "You have to promise me that you'll be careful." she said softly, glancing down at the ground. "I mean if crazy shit happens here... I don't... just be careful alright?"

"I'm leaving tomorrow, I think." He looked back at her with a small smile. "I'm always careful, Jules. I've been traveling across the country for years and I've experienced a lot worse than Marquette." Aiden walked over to her and surprised himself when he pulled her into a hug. "Be careful while I'm gone, okay? You can always call if you... need anything."

"Aiden..." she said softly, her arms wrapping around his body as she pulled him tighter against her. She closed her eyes and let out a soft little sigh against his shirt. "If you're going to be in town tonight... don't... just don't do anything stupid like get yourself killed..." she practically pleaded.

He really couldn't help the smile that twitched at his lips. If she only knew... "You don't have to worry about that. And you don't have to worry about me either. I'll call you once the night's over, and if anything tries to get in here, you call me and I'll come over to take care of it." She wasn't like Eury, she didn't have anything really powerful to protect herself with. He pulled back and slid his hand over her hair and ponytail. "Be careful, okay?"

She nodded as she pulled away just enough to look up at him. Her arms moved up, hands brushing across either cheek as she looked at him, forcing his eyes to stay on her. "You better be right. If something happens to you, I... you just better not let anything happen to you, okay?" she finally said. Jules pulled his face down to hers then and pressed a light little kiss against his lips. "Just in case..." she said softly.

Aiden didn't pulled away when she kissed his lips. For some strange reason it felt kind of nice to know someone cared. Not that Eury didn't but... well, he hadn't heard from her since his voicemail. He didn't know if he would. "I won't let anything happen," he told her again. His lips twitched again. "But you never know... can't predict the future or anything. So... just in case." Aiden leaned down again to capture her lips with his own, allowing himself much more than a light little kiss.

Jules closed her eyes into the kiss and let her arms wrap around his neck. She hadn't expected him to kiss her back, but damn it she wasn't going to not go with it. She didn't want him to leave, didn't want him to be at risk even if he said he wasn't. Werewolves... Jules just couldn't cope with the fact that he'd be somewhere tonight and she wouldn't know what had become of him. But right now, she concentrated on getting closer to him, her body pressing tight against his, her fingers lightly moving up his neck and into his hair. Damn it all if she'd waste this kiss.

He let himself enjoy it, the feeling of her hands in his hair, his mouth pressed firmly against hers. She tasted brilliant, but he knew she would have. His hands rested on the small of her back, holding her close to him before he finally pulled back from her lips. Aiden studied her face quietly for a moment. "I've got to get going. Stay inside tonight."

"You really have to leave right now?" she questioned, still holding tight to him. She didn't want to let him go. In fact, she was half willing to fight him over it. "Aiden..." Jules glanced down at the floor and let out a little breath. She didn't know what to say. 'Don't leave' just didn't seem to cut it.

He didn't necessarily have to leave just yet. He wouldn't be meeting Dorian until after sunset, but he wasn't entirely sure it was wise to stay. Aiden watched her, internally debated over his decision. He supposed it wasn't as hard of a decision as he thought it would be. "I could stay for a little while longer. If you wanted me to."

"Of course I want you to..." she said softly, leaning up again to catch those lips of his one more time. How could he possibly wonder if she wanted him to stay or not. Pulling back, blue eyes caught his and she swallowed and bit her lower lip. She was frightened about what might happen tonight. About whether or not she'd be safe, but more so about whether or not Aiden would be as fine as he claimed he would be and those emotions showed on her face.

Aiden sighed internally, knowing the best thing for him to do would be to leave and go get his shit ready for tonight, but it was hard. Hugging a warm, soft woman was always preferred to cleaning his knives and loading his guns. Most of the time. "Then I'll stay for awhile," he told her. "I can't promise I'll be much fun..." Aiden cocked his head to the side, watching her eyes. And then he smiled. "You're really worried for me aren't you? Don't I come across as bein' capable of takin' care of myself?"

"Being able to take care of yourself is one thing, Aiden..." she said softly, pulling him against her again and resting her head against her chest. She closed her eyes and let out a little breath. "Werewolves is something completely different. You're not superman..."

"I'm pretty damn close though I can't fly," he muttered before chuckling. Aiden rested his cheek against the top of her head. "I've come in contact with werewolves before, Jules. And vampires, and demons... I've learned how to protect myself. I won't be alone either, if that makes you feel any better."

Werewolves. Vampires. Demons. Great. It didn't make her feel any better to know that he'd been in contact with any of those things and she let out a shaky little breath. She tightened her grip on him and shook her head a little. "No... It doesn't make me feel any better. It'd make me feel better if I knew for a fact you'd be alright." she whispered.

He sighed and cupped her face firmly, keeping her head tilted back so he could look her in the eyes. "I'm tellin' you, for a fact, that I'll be alright. I can only tell you so many times. Don't know what else I can do to convince you." He had no intention of getting hurt, or killed, tonight. He had no intention of letting Dorian get hurt either. "I'll come by at dawn to show you myself, still in one piece, if you need that."

She nodded a little, as much as she could manage with his fingers holding her head in place. "Okay..." she said softly. "Okay..." Her lower lip trembled a bit and she blinked because damn it she had no reason to cry, he'd be just fine and she knew that. No, she didn't know that. He could die tonight. He might say that he'd be fine, but what would she do if he died? No one that she knew, aside from her grandmother, had ever died on her. She really didn't think she'd be able to handle it if Aiden did just that.

He panicked briefly, because he recognized the quivering lip and moistening eyes and... he did not handle crying women very well at all. Aiden released her face, but dropped his hands to her shoulders. "God, please don't cry, okay? You'll have me runnin' from this house faster than you can blink. Let's do somethin' to take your mind off of shite, okay?" Aiden didn't think he'd ever seen a girl get so emotional over his hunting. Then again, she didn't know he was a hunter so... it was just strange. He wanted to tell her what he was, just in case it helped a bit, but he wasn't sure about it after what went down with Eury.

"I'm not gonna cry if you'd not say anything about it, asshole." she muttered, pulling away from him and sitting down on the edge of her bed. She brushed her hands across her eyes, just to be sure no water trailed away from them. She took a deep breath and held it and forced herself to get her emotions under control. I will not cry.

"Didn't know you cared so much about my well bein'," Aiden told her lightly, slipping his hands in his jean pockets rather than going to sit next to her. "I really wish you wouldn't worry so much about it." He paused and grinned faintly. "Would it help if I pissed ya off? Then you could be furious with me all night rather than concerned."

She glared at him, obviously not amused. "No, it wouldn't help, but your getting close to pissing me off already." she muttered. "Either way I'm going to be just as worried about you. Fucker." she muttered, turning her attention away from him because damn it looking at him didn't make it easy to be mad at him.

"Hey, at least I'm good at somethin', yeah?" Aiden walked over and finally sat next to her, clasping his hands loosely in front of him. "I can't make you not worry, but I can promise you that I'll be in one piece, and breathing, come tomorrow mornin'. I have too much shite to do with my life than to let some werewolf fucker maul me to death. All I need for you to do is promise to stay inside with everythin' locked. Then I won't have to worry about you, and I can concentrate on what I'm doin' properly."

"What you're doing?" she questioned, completely unsure of what that could possibly mean. It was more than a little confusing. "What exactly can you possibly be doing that's going to take concentration in the middle of werewolf-mania?" she asked, head turning towards his.

He shrugged one shoulder. "Makin' sure people are safe and stayin' alive myself?" It was as simple as that. He already had a shit load of locks placed on the house where he and Shannon were staying. His sister already knew better than to leave her bedroom. "There's a lot of people in town who don't realize what's happenin'. They'll be out and about, like it's nothin' bad. They need to be warned, and the werewolves need to be taken care of."

"Taken care of?" she asked. "You're going to go out... looking for them?" she asked, the same way one would ask someone if they'd completely lost every ounce of sanity they possibly had.

"More or less. I told you I've come into contact with these things before," Aiden reminded her. He wasn't getting paid for this particular hunt, but that was okay. Anything terrorizing the town where people he cared about lived, he was willing to go pro bono on it. "I know how to handle them, and what to do to make sure I don't get hurt."

She blinked at him and shook her head. "You've got to be completely out of your mind." she blurted. "Going out and looking for them?! What in the world would possess you to go look for them?! Are you crazy?"

"I don't think I'm mad, no." He shook his head, not at all surprised by her outburst. "I thought I already explained it to you. There're people out there who don't know what's really goin' on. And these things'll be out huntin' them. What did you think I was goin' to do tonight, Jules? If I were goin' to be locked up somewhere, you wouldn't be so worried about me, now would you?"

"I'd be worried about you either way." she explained. "But knowing that you're going to be out in that..." she sighed shaking her head and looking down at her hands. "That just makes it worse because now I know you're going to be really close to them and they could hurt you or bite you or kill you and I..." she paused and shook her head, not sure what to even say. "I just don't want to think about it."

"Then don't think about it." It was as simple as that, at least for Aiden. He knew she would probably worry anyway, but he clearly couldn't stop that. He'd just have to prove to her he would be fine by visiting her the next day before he left. "They won't get close enough to bite me, or even touch me, that much I can guarantee. You just have to trust me, Jules."

"You just better not die." she muttered, glancing up at him and brushing her hand across the cheek furthest from her. "Then who would bring me silver bullets?" Jules said, forcing a little smile. "Stubborn ass." she added on for good measure.

"I promise you I won't die," Aiden said with a chuckle. "You gotta trust me eventually. I'd prefer it if you didn't have to use any of those bullets. But keep the gun with you at all times, no matter where you go in the house. If you hear anything tryin' to get in, you call my cell and lock yourself in a closet somewhere, understand? I know you got lucky shootin' the shadow, but this is much different."

"I know how to shoot a gun." she said, furrowing her brow at him. She sighed though and nodded. "Closet. I'll do that. Cell phone and gun on me at all times." she promised. "Maybe I should be more worried about myself dying."

"You know how to shoot a gun? Or do you just know how to aim it." There was a big difference to Aiden. If he didn't have things to do himself, or a sister to worry about, he probably would have just stayed with Jules and kept watch for her instead. "Why don't you instead just focus on stayin' safe. No thoughts of death or mauling or anythin' like that, okay? The night'll be over before you know it."

"I know how to aim and shoot it." Jules told him. "I wouldn't have a gun if I didn't know how to do both. I'm a twenty-one year old woman living alone in a town full of craziness, shouldn't I know how to protect myself?" she asked.

"You should, yes. But before the shadows came out and tried to attack you..." Aiden trailed off, his gaze locked upon hers. "What did you know about the craziness? I mean, have you been aware that stuff like this exists? Or was it just the shadows that took you by surprise?" For as strange as Marquette was, for as much supernatural it drew, he was still shocked by how many people remained oblivious.

"I didn't know about any of that crap until the shadows." she admitted. "I learned to use the gun because I used to live in Beverly Hills and I spent a lot of time out shopping and doing shit like that. I wasn't about to be mugged or raped or any of that. I learned how to use the gun in case a human attacked me. Just happens to come in handy in this crazy fucking town." she sighed.

"Yeah, comes in handy, but a gun isn't going to always be the way to protect yourself. You should try to learn as much as you can about all of this," Aiden suggested. "Know what to expect, how to properly protect yourself. I've learned that if you're goin' to live in Marquette, you need to be aware that anyone passin' you on the street might not be entirely human."

"Thank you for that. I was having a lovely time being completely oblivious and you had to go and terrify me more." Jules sighed, shaking her head and running her hands over her ponytail. "God you're helpful."

Aiden grinned at her and reached out to tug lightly at her ponytail. "Oblivious can get you killed. I'd rather you be terrified and aware than dead. Check out Nevermore, okay? It has plenty of books that you can buy or whatever and read up on this stuff." He didn't mention it was Dorian's store, because that might sway her to stay away from the place, and he honestly thought some of the books in there might actually help her.

Unfortunately for him, she knew it was Dorian's store. "How bout you get me Dorian's schedule and I'll be sure to go in when he's not there." she said with a little smile. "I don't think he likes me much and I'd really like to avoid all that awkwardness." she sighed. "I'm not upset with him... but... If he doesn't care for my presence, I'd rather not be present. Though he did explain some things to me. Vampires and stuff like that..."

"Please, you guys met one time. It's not that he doesn't like you." And Aiden wasn't sure why he was trying to convince her. But he was sure it'd be easier on him if the two got along - or at least acted civil to one another. "Just give him another chance, yeah? He's a good guy. He's always willing to answer people's questions on the supernatural. It's what he does. You'd probably be doin' yourself a favor by talkin' to him."

Jules sighed. "Fine. Maybe I will. I'm not making any promises." she told him. She knew that she was probably the last person that Dorian wanted to see, but Aiden seemed a little persistent about her giving him another chance, so she'd do it. "Is he leaving town like you?" she asked. "Or can I go over there after all this full moon bullshit is over?"

"Even if you don't want to talk to Dorian, at least check out some of the books. You might find them interesting." Aiden shook his head and scratched absently at the nape of his neck. "Nah, he's not leavin' with me. He'll be here, as far as I know. Which is probably a good thing, since I assume people are gonna have questions about what happened after this night's over."

She nodded. "And I never said I didn't want to talk to him. He's okay, he's nice as long as I'm not acting like myself..." she shrugged. "He makes me feel slutty. And I guess I am, but that's not the point. It sucks either way to be told you are, even if you are." Jules frowned. "And that doesn't makes sense probably, but he hurt my feelings." she muttered. That part made sense to her, even if it didn't to everyone else. "Once we got past that and I just asked questions about vampires and shit like that, it was fine I guess. I don't know. I'll go and look I guess."

"My mother used to tell me that no one could make you feel stupid but yourself. Er, I guess the same could be said for you? Except instead of stupid, use slutty." Aiden reached out to place a hand on her shoulder. "Look, you are who you are. You do what you want, when you want, and there's nothin' wrong with that. Don't let other people make you feel bad for it, okay?"

"Maybe you should take your own advice." she told him. "You are who you are. You do what you want... Why do you let people make you feel bad for it?" she asked. Maybe it was deliberate, but she wondered why that didn't apply to him. He obviously was making changes to himself to suit the other woman who was or wasn't in his life, honestly Jules wasn't sure which. Her eyes locked on his again, piercing blue through dark lashes.

"What makes you think I feel bad?" Aiden countered, meeting her gaze unflinchingly. "You said Dorian hurt your feelings for makin' you feel like a slut, yet in the same breath you said you probably are... but you still felt badly about it. I don't feel bad for who I am." Rarely did he let anyone in deep enough to be able to hurt him in any way shape or form. And the ones who did, he had no issue with flicking out of his life.

"I don't feel bad about being slutty." she told him. "Honestly I'm not all that much of a slut because since being here - for a few months now - I've only slept with four people. One person a month basically doesn't seem like that many people to me and I really don't give a shit if I am a slut, I don't feel bad. But the way he said it hurt my feelings. I felt like he summed up slut with stupid or dirty or disgusting and I'm none of those things. And I find it funny that he finds it so unattractive on women and he's best friends with someone who's probably more so a slut than I could ever dream of being. And maybe you don't let them make you feel bad about it. But you would have slept with me by now if you weren't trying to be different for that woman. That's changing yourself. Obviously in order to want to change yourself you have to feel bad about something." she shot back.

"That's strange, that you'd say I'm more so a slut that you are, but since I've been here? I've slept with two women. If I slept with you, that'd be three, still one less than what you've been doin' since bein' here. I don't apologize for who I am, but I also don't think it's such a terrible thing to want to change aspects of myself so I don't end up hurtin' people I care about," Aiden snapped. "If I try to make a commitment to someone? Yeah, I'm probably gonna feel bad if I fuck around on her, and yeah, I'm probably gonna try to change that." He crossed his arms defensively, scowling now. "Why're you gettin' on me about this anyway? I'm not the one who made you feel like a slut in the first place."

"Til now." she said, obviously hurt by the things that he'd just said to her. Her bottom lip trembled again and blue eyes flooded but tears didn't fall as she got up from the bed and headed for the door. "You can go now." she told him. "I'll be just fine tonight. And don't worry, you won't have to come save the fucking day." She turned at the door to look at him, but she looked away again, up at the ceiling to keep those tears at bay. "I'm sorry I made you come over."

Christ, he'd gladly give any man a million dollars if they could explain why women were so fucking crazy. Aiden rubbed both hands over his face before shaking his head. "Okay, so you can stand there and insinuate I'm some kind of man-whore, but when I turn it back on you I'm the bastard." He headed for the door, more than ready to leave. At least he could take his frustrations out on the hunt later. "If it gets to where you need to use your gun? You're probably going to be really thankful I came over regardless." He paused next to her. "Lock your doors," Aiden advised before leaving the room and heading for the stairs. Fucking women.

She followed him out of the room, catching his arm and pulling him back before he even got to the staircase. "Aiden..." she said as she moved her arms around him. "I really don't want to fi-fight with you." she told him, the fight with sniffling already being lost. "Don't leave mad at me... Please." Jules had wanted him to leave, thought she did at least, but when he turned and walked out that door, her mind changed directions and all she wanted was to hold on to him. Feel the solidity of him still being there.

"But you'd be all right bein' mad at me?" Aiden asked her, unsure whether or not to touch her in return. He was irritated now, and because he couldn't quite understand his irritation only made it worse. "What do you want from me, Jules? You call me a slut, get pissed when I return the sentiments, then you want me to leave and now you don't. I'm not up to playin' games with you. I'm not one of those men who're gonna buckle everytime you get mad. Especially when the anger is unfounded and unfair."

"I'm sorry." she said softly, still holding tight to him. "I'm upset and scared and confused and I'm... I'm just sorry can't we just forget it and go back to like things were? Please..." she practically begged. "You don't have to buckle or anything just... I..." Jules wasn't used to being like this. To giving a shit when a man decided to leave, but Aiden? Aiden was different and that drove her mad and she wasn't about to admit it, but she didnt want him to leave. "I'm sorry.." she said again, eyes closing as she pressed her head against his chest. "I'm not mad at you I'm just... being completely and totally insane. Forgot to warn you this time..." she said with a weak little smile as she glanced up at him.

Aiden was silent for a few moments before he sighed and forced himself to bring his arms up around her. "Try to keep the insanity to a minimum around me, okay?" He didn't know what he could do to alleviate her confusion or fear. He felt like he'd done almost all he could at the moment, by warning her and bringing her supplies - even if those supplies were bullets. Aiden looked down at her, still a bit unsure. "You know I don't actually think you're a slut, right? Because I don't."

She nodded, moving one hand up to wipe her face and feeling more than a little self conscious. "I know." she said softly. "Great thing about people. When they get pissed off with someone they know, they deliberately use everything that might hurt the other person even if they don't really believe it." she said softly. "I think I'd rather be dealing with a whole mess of werewolves sometimes." Jules said with a little laugh that held no humor.

Aiden was well versed in what people did to one another when they were angry. But he preferred verbal attacks over physical ones any day. Verbal attacks at least left scars that weren't visible. He slid his thumb over her cheekbone. "Don't be upset, okay? It's going to be a long night, and I'd prefer it if you were clear minded and alert about things."

She bit her bottom lip and nodded slightly, though not enough to get his hand to shift from it's place against her cheek. "Okay." she agreed. "You know you wouldn't know what to do if a werewolf ate me." she teased.

"Let's not think about that," Aiden said with a soft chuckle. He leaned down to kiss her forehead. "Look, why don't we go out and get somethin' to eat and just... try to relax before sunset, okay?" He figured that would keep him occupied for awhile until he met up with Dorian.

Jules nodded. "Give me like... ten minutes to make sure I don't look like a crying idiot and get ready?" she asked with a little smile.

"Yeah, sure. I'll be downstairs," he told her, pulling away. Hopefully they could get through an hour or so without arguing again. He didn't really want to start hunting werewolves while he was in a pissy mood - as much fun as that would be. He would be with Dorian, and he didn't need his mood to rub off on his friend. Not when there would be weapons involved.

Jules didn't take long to put her face on, touching up her make up and making sure to grab her purse and jacket on the way downstairs. Fresh faced and more than ready to forget their little tiff she gave Aiden a grin. "Ready, dollface?"

"Ready." He was buttoning up his light jacket and readjusting the hat on his head before he opened the front door for her. Aiden pulled his keys from his pocket. "You think it's too early for a drink?" A beer sounded really good at the moment, even though it was only the afternoon.

"On a day when werewolves are destined to attack the tiny little town I live with and perhaps eat people and tear shit up. I'd say a good drink is in order." she said with a nod, slipping into her jacket and zipping the thing up. "Something strong, preferably. Or just a couple beers. Either or."

Aiden cocked an eyebrow at the suggestion of something stronger than a beer, given how small she was - but if she could hold her liquor, who was he to say no? "I'd have to agree with ya there. Let's see what we can find." He followed her outside, waiting for her to lock her door before walking with her to his car. "We can always order some fries to give off the impression we're not just there to drink."

Jules grinned and shook her head when he cocked his brow. "What? You think a tiny thing like me can't drink, don't you?" she asked as she moved towards the car and opened the door to climb in. "I bet I can out drink you buddy. Might have to sober up before you can bring me home." she teased.

"I'd take you up on that offer any other day but this one. Last thing I want to do is go after a werewolf with even a little bit of a buzz. Those fuckers are quick. But you're challenging an Irishman to a drinking contest? That's pretty bold." Aiden got into his car and started the engine.

"I'm a bold kinda girl. Maybe when you come back then." she said as she buckled herself in and slid her purse off her shoulder to the floorboard. "I might look like a lightweight, but I can hold my liquor. I say first day weekend after you get back, we buy a bunch of booze and make a night of it. Cheaper that way and when I pass out I'll at least be at my own house." Jules laughed.

Aiden wasn't entirely sure throwing a bunch of booze into an already complicated situation was very wise, but... what the hell. "We'll see," he said with a chuckle, starting off toward one of the bar and grills. "I have every bit of faith in you that you can hold your liquor, but there's no possible way you'll drink me under the table. That just means you're gonna try, and fail, and I'm gonna have to carry your drunk arse and put you into bed and hope you don't throw up all over me."

"I haven't thrown up just yet. Just be glad I'm tiny and you won't put your back out no matter how much booze I down." she grinned, shaking her head a little. She wasn't sure she thought liquor - at least a large amount of it - was good for the two of them either, but she wasn't about to step down from a challenge either. Plus a little liquor could lighten him up a bit.

"Well, everything has a silver lining, doesn't it?" Some women could hold their liquor well enough - but it was a very rare occurrence when one could actually out drink a guy. It would be fun to watch her try though. He could tease her about it for awhile until he had to go. With any luck, the night would pass quickly and without much excitement. Then again it was Marquette, so that was probably wishful thinking.
