Hello, Buttahfly. I promised I'd email if I had more information on the cats that might not be cats.

I spoke with an animal telepath today who actually touched the mind of one of the cats. She could do it, so there has to be an animal in there somewhere, but it actually took control of her link with it and it hurt her through it, enough for it to linger in her mind even this long. She swears up and down that it was *not* a cat, and it was thoroughly evil. We came up with the idea of it possibly being a crossbreed of some sort with a demon. Is that sort of thing even possible?

Also... I'm really sorry to bother you about this, but I don't know who else to ask. Do you know a lot about demons? Or, well, anything about them? I don't know much of anything, at all, but I think I might need to soon.

that's interesting. with as tough as they were to kill, i kind of thought they were some kind of demon. i ain't never seen cats act like they did. where'd you find an animal telepath?

i know some about demons. depends on what kind of info. you're looking for. and anything i don't know? i can probably find out. this is sorta my whole family's business.

I found her the same way I found you, she emailed me when she saw my notice at Mya's. Or he, I suppose, I never got a name beyond initials. Do you think the half-demon idea is plausible, even if the other half might be animal?

And I was wondering if you knew anything about Fiends, in particular, but anything generic about demons would be helpful. Do they usually live together, in families? Or alone? And is it normal for them to hurt each other? Is there such thing as a good demon, or all they all pretty much evil?

I'm sorry for all the questions, but I really don't know anything about this subject except what fiction says.

i ain't no expert in mix-n-match, but i don't see why not. there's half-demon humans walkin round, and with some of the smarter ones ... sure they could figure a way to infect some cats. they seemed to breed pretty damn fast.

from all of my experience, demons mostly like to live alone. there's exceptions, like with everything, but not many i ever ran into. baby, it's normal for them to hurt anybody and anything they can. there ain't no such thing as a good demon. they might seem that way, to get what they want, but unless they broke the rules? they all evil. you don't want to truck with no ascended demon neither. can't trust a one of them.

So it probably is possible, then. If that is the case, I wonder what killed them all at once like that. Some kind of holy power? A spell of some sort? Though if it were either of those, unless it was awfully specific, any other demon in town would have dropped dead, too, right? Or at least been hurt by it.

You know, I feel very strange talking about spells.

As for demons, I'm afraid I do know some. One who works in a bar, and two who live together. It probably sounds sad to you, but one of those demons is the closest thing I have in town to a friend, someone who I don't have to lie to. And he doesn't act, well, demonish at all. He says he hates what he is, and he's awfully nice, I guess, for a demon. The other two I wouldn't hesitate to call evil, but I just don't know about him.

What's an ascended demon?
