Who: Isabelle and Medea
Where: Their room
When: after school

It had been far too long since they'd had a good talk, so Isabelle was waiting patiently in their room for her sister to get home from school. Maybe Medea had just been too busy with that new toy of hers or school or something, but they'd been missing each other lately and Isabelle wasn't comfortable with that.

So there she was, sitting on her bed with a magazine open, even if she wasn't reading it, listening for her sister's arrival.

Medea wasn't that late as she headed upstairs. Drama club had gone a little longer than usual, people going on about incredibly unimportant things, and she'd sat there looking dutifully interested. Really, there was only so much of that she could do at a time, however, so she was glad to be home. Or, what passed as home these days. Their temporary base of operations. Opening the door, she was vaguely surprised to see her sister. But she was pleased, as well. They had been missing each other, both of them going about their own agendas.

Closing the door behind her, she set her bookbag down and smiled at Isabelle. "Riveting information on nail polish and eye shadow combinations?" she asked, noting the magazine as she did so, and she went to go flop down onto her own bed.

"No the best overnight skin care for prom." Isabelle told her closing the magazine and tossing it on the floor. "Did you have drama club or something? I expected you earlier." She slid lower on the bed and rolled to her side to watch her older sister. The smile playing on her lips was actually genuine, as apposed to just seeming that way. "We should talk."

"I did." Medea confirmed. "And I stopped by to see if anyone had destroyed my sculputure yet. Surprisingly, it's still standing." she added. "And yes, we should. It's been a while. Updates on my end include things going very well with the puppy. Though I'm mildly annoyed. Kavin, someone we were meant to be watching movies with, and someone who'd had a secret to tell me seems to have left town and not returned. So, that's one more person down that could have been fun to play with. How's everything going with you?" she asked curiously.

Isabelle nodded at Medea's confirmation. "I couldn't remember so I bailed on cheerleading. Or well told them how miserable I was feeling but how determined I was to cheer and they sent me home to rest." It had been far too easy to wrap the entire squad around her finger with Chrissy indisposed. Even with their new captain they still listened to her first. Another thing to check off her list. "Glad the puppy is keeping you entertained. I'm still not sure what you see in him, but I trust your judgement." She rolled over again to watch the ceiling tucking one arm behind her head. "As for me, I'm bored. Cheerleaders and jocks are just too easy, and they aren't fun anymore. I need a new task. I've been considering a few things here and there, but I need to really cultivate some power if I'm going to take over on my end. I need some popular kids with some clout, not just the fucktards I'm dealing with now." Rolling just her head to see her sister. "I saw the sculpture by the way, I liked it. Very you."

"I see an easy to manipulate hero complex, and a little powerhouse that'll be interesting to direct in the future." Medea said with a smirk. Then she went about listening to her sister. "Well, Gabe's been out of school so skip him. You could always try for Thom. Chrissy had him before, maybe you could console the poor boy. Then there's Isaac, his friend, who's probably more your speed as well. But try them both. One never knows." she said. Then she grinned. "Why thank you. Someone came up and complimented it. I was surprised."

Isabelle raised her eyebrow in regard to Medea's description of Peter or whatever his name was. She didn't see the same thing, but then again she'd not exactly bothered to spend time with him. "I was actually thinking about Issac. Thom's a good target but I feel like reeling in Isaac would assure reeling in Thom and it wouldn't work the other way around. Plus I'm looking for a challenge and that little thing that Issac's with could make for some fun play time. You know how I love coming between people." Her smirk matched Medea's and was complimented with a glint in her eyes. "Both though...that might be genius. Do we know who's keeping Thom's bed warm these days?" Typically Isabelle was up on the gossip, but if something was happening under the radar it would be more Medea's realm. "And I was thinking, I need a pet as well. I have an idea even if it is a little silly, but it might serve to connect our networks just right."

"So far as I know, nobody." Medea said, on the Thom front. "I heard he was dating that redhead, Leija for a while, and that she left him for Lockwood--who's apparently got a habit of that. Then it was Chrissy, and she's rotting away now. I haven't heard of any new flames in his life, and people like to talk about if he's dealing well with Chrissy's death or not." She looked interested at the talk of a puppy of her own. "Who're you thinking about for a pet?"

"Oh Lockwood. I haven't harassed him in ages. Doesn't help that he's dating that pyscho girl now. Ugh I wish he'd just join our side. He could be such an asset." Isabelle contemplated the update on Thom and wondered if it would be worth it to see if she could toy with him as well. If getting to the top of the school wouldn't depend on reeling him and Isaac in, it would be quite fun to see if she could pit one against the other. Maybe that could come with time. "Chrissy's death could be my way in. I'm supposed to be broken up by that too." Which she wasn't but had played the card where it was deemed appropriate. "As for the pet, there's a senior. Jesse? He's a little odd, but in with the indie kids. And I could use that edge you know?" Prom Queen wasn't just voted for by the A-crowd. "Plus he seems like he'd be easy to completely manipulate. What do you think?"

"Is he? I heard that they weren't solid yet." Medea said, on the Caleb stuff. "I think it would be worth pursuing, with both of them. Isaac and Thom, could be a lot of fun." She paused as she mentioned Jesse. She'd seen the guy around, and knew who she was talking about. "I think you could do it, but you would have to keep it on the down low. Play it quiet but not overly so. I would make sure that not too many people know you spend time with him, so make it private between the two of you. You could always play the 'I'm really sweet on the inside but no one understands me' card. Make him someone who 'understands'." she suggested.

"I don't know if they're official, but they're enough of an item to have to factor her into situations," Isabelle told Medea. Honestly she hadn't looked into the Caleb stuff because it wasn't really interesting, but she'd heard far too much about them being together for it not be a something. "Like making Thom the more official conquest and keeping Issac below the radar, just enough to upset Peyton, but not enough to see that everyone notices and then sides with her?" Isabelle was running over scenarios in her head, contemplating the different situations. If she could make Isaac's girlfriend look paranoid, then she could bounce her out of the situation. Isabelle took what her sister said about Jesse though to heart. "That 'no one understands me' card should work like a gem. And yes, it would be a far less obvious thing than your thing with Patrick. But with twisting him, I could have an in with his friends. Plus it would be fun to just string someone along like that. I don't think I've done that in years."

"Porter." Medea corrected. "And yes, I think it could work well for you. It could be played nice and subtly, without anything too overt that would attract attention." she said. "If he's got friends, you could get in good with them. I'm not sure I've actually seen him around with anyone, though--but I haven't paid that much attention either so that could be why. I think that plan for Thom and Isaac would be good, because you don't want to start getting people up in arms about Peyton and what a poor, poor girl. Turning her into the paranoid overbearing bitch is much more entertaining. I think you've got great plans to put into swing, though. Let me know if you need my help on anything, in any way."

"Porter, right. Sorry about that," Isabelle apologized, even though she wasn't really sorry she'd gotten the boy's name wrong. It was an apology to her sister for not paying attention to the details of Medea's life. A sly smile crossed Isabelle's lips which she pointed towards her sister. "I think this could brew into something quite entertaining for both of us, even if you aren't as directly involved." The smile shifted to a small pout. "Although I feel bad that your secret sharing fell apart. I feel like you need a project outside of the puppy. Did you have anything new in mind?"

"Not as of yet. Most of the people I've met in school and such are rather dull. Nothing that interesting about them, not even to exploit. Which is a sad state of affairs, for certain. There should be at least vaguely interesting people around, but really, no one of note." Medea said with a sigh. "We were meant to have a movie night with Leija, but she bailed on us. That I found unfortunate. I'd been looking foward to seeing how Porter reacted when there were two females around."

"Any ideas on why she bailed? It wasn't the same movie as with secret bearer right? You think him splitting had something to do with it?" Isabelle pondered Porter with two girls and had to smile at that. "Now I want to see how he'd react in that situation. I bet it would be completely amusing. You'll have to get something like that set up again."

"I'll have to try to. And I don't know why she cut out. I believe she gave an excuse about being ill, but that's a thin excuse if I've ever heard one. Could be a lot of reasons, I suppose. She could be uncomfortable in social situations, though if that were the case, it wasn't very nice of her to agree to the get together in the first place. She could think Porter was trying to hit on her and she deflected, she could want Porter for herself and didn't want to spend time with him and his girlfriend...there are a lot of possibilities." Medea mused. She paused, then looked over at her sister. "You could always try and find out. It would be strange if I did, because she's already bailed on things with me, but you could."

Isabelle raised her eyebrow at Medea. "Of course I could. You want me to talk to her? That can easily be arranged." She smiled a knowing smile, but it was brief. "Not to nitpick, but are you actually using the 'girlfriend' term?" There were air quotes added in for extra effect on the girlfriend title. That seemed to bear so much commitment. Especially to someone like Peter. Or was it Porter?

"Of course. If I'm not his 'girlfriend', then he'll get insecure, and I only want him feeling that way when I orchestrate it. I want him confident right now. I'm building him up, and making myself indispensible to him. I'm still working on cutting him off from his parents, and that's working beatifully, by the way." Medea said.

"Just remember the title comes with repercussions when you're done with him. Or if you want something else more experienced on the side," Isabelle pointed out. It did seem like Medea was on a role with her whole plan though. Being the loving sister that she was though, Isabelle didn't want Medea to get stuck back into a corner. "Any luck cutting him off from his friends? If so, I could use some tips because I'm going to have to navigate around the fact that Thom and Isaac are so close they probably chatter like girls when no one's looking. I can't have one telling the other all of the dirty details."

"So make them your special friends too. It's not like you can only play the 'you're the only one who understands me' card. With Isaac, I'd suggest appealing to his sense of being popular, and how that often means you can't truly just relax and be yourself. But you feel like you can with him, because he's...whatever it is you want to feed him. But instil that idea that they are your confidantes, and that you would appreicate if they didn't say anything to anyone." Medea said, thinking it over. "And what friends?" she asked about Porter. "He doesn't really have many. I was his first contact in town, I'm fairly certain that I'm the one he spends most of his time with."

Isabelle chewed on her lower lip while she chewed over the approach with Isaac. It would probably work, trying to establish a special friendship between them, but insisting on privacy. It would keep Thom from finding out and keep Peyton wondering what in God's name Isabelle and Isaac would need to be so uber friendly about. "Well if he's friends-less then you're right your biggest competition is his parents. Money?"

"He likes the idea of buying me things. Like the cell phone." Since that had been expensive. Of course, eventually, they would be coming into their own money. Or, more correctly, Medea would, and she would be sharing with her sister. She just had to turn eighteen. Then it would kick in because she would be a legal adult. From there out they'd be fine, it was just making due until then. "So far I'm keeping it all his idea, that's important. He has to believe everything he does is under light protest from me, that he's the one being the little knight in shining armor."

Looking around their room, it was hard not to think forward to the money they'd have once Medea was legal. Having someone willing to pay out for certain things though would definitely be a plus. "You weren't kidding about the hero complex. That's almost too easy." Isabelle chuckled a light evil chuckle. "He did well with the phone. No cutting corners, which is a good sign." Either Isaac or Thom could sufficiently fill the financial needs on Isabelle's end and she let her mind wander some to contemplate that angle of the situation as well.

"No, he has a good sense of when he's doing something, to not do it half way." Medea agreed. "Which is beneficial. And the hero complex of his is fairly large. It's definitely there, and easy to push forward. Very simple to encourage. So far it's been entertaining." she commented. "Eventually I want to set up a scenario where he can 'save' me, so I'll need to figure out when I want that to happen. I'm sure we can come up with something for him to take down to do that. Shouldn't be difficult."

"Is there anyone we hate at the moment who might be worth getting rid of?" Isabelle asked with an evil smile. It was a little over the top to get someone killed or maimed, but it's not like accidents don't happen. They certainly had happened before. "It could be one of those, two birds one stone kind of things."

"No one's really come up that I can think of." Medea said, sounding lightly disappointed. "Chrissy's gone, and no one's risen up to take her place. Yet." She still wanted Isabelle to. "And no one's being inordinately annoying or ruining any plans. So, I think for the moment, we've just got to go with our plans, and see if someone doesn't show themselves to be annoying and worth getting rid of." While entertaining to take people down, it also drew attention, so until there was a worthy target, Medea was happy to wait.

Isabelle nodding, guessing that Medea was thinking about keeping things low key and trying not to really attract unnecessary attention. "Hopefully I'll be able to muster taking over Chrissy's throne. I've essentially cultivated a bunch of the jocks and the cheerleaders since her unfortunate passing." Her tone though insinuated Chrissy's death was far from unfortunate. "We'll keep an eye out for someone who's out of line, but with the way things happen around here maybe we won't have to and something else will just happen." It was entirely possible in Marquette anyway; the place seemed to be some sort of hub for all sorts of weird "accidents."

"I have faith in your ability to draw the drones in." Medea said. "And I'm sure there'll be plenty of accidents that we can use to our advantage." she added. She glanced at her phone when it lit up. "Annnnd it's work. I probably have to go in. But good luck in your endevors with Thom and Isaac. Keep me posted and let me know if I need to orchestrate anything that would aid you in that." she said, sighing as she listened to her message and was indeed meant to go back in to work. At least it was money, for now.

Isabelle pouted a little when Medea looked at her phone. "If it weren't for the money, I'd say stop bothering with the job." She sat back up on her bed, contemplating if it was worth starting homework now that Medea was leaving. It didn't ease the disappointment though, she'd been hoping to spend more time with her sister; they saw so little of each other. "Of course I'll keep you updated. Let me know if need help with," she paused trying to remember the name. "Porter." Really she was going to have to get better about that.
