Quick Call to Check In

Who: Brian and Domino
Where: The phone
When: 12:30ish

Since Hunt was out and Brian was sitting alone, in the dark, waiting for him to wake up again... Brian figured it was about time he let Domino know where he was. He made sure the light from the phone wasn't actually light, punched in the number for the home phone by feel, and waited while it rang.

Domino wasn't exactly asleep. Laying in a completely dark room it was hard not to be sort of asleep as you lay there. Eyes open and closed didn't matter too much. He'd gotten over Brian's disappearing act and had gone from anger to worry as he laid there with the non-cat upon his stomach- of course time passed slower when you couldn't see the face of the two bell alarm clock. His mind raced, at least with Tor there he was pretty sure he'd know if Brian bit it- some reaction would happen in the non-cat right? Still didn't keep him from worrying though. When the phone rang Domino sat up with a start, spooking himself and the lump that had formally been on his belly. At least the cougar wasn't completely blind in the dark and managed to find the phone with ease. "'lo? Brian?" Oh god let it be him.

Ah, there was Domino. Sounding tense, apparently. Maybe he hadn't been as asleep as Brian had thought when he'd gone out.... "Hey, man. Sorry I disappeared on you."

Woke up and you were gone." He replied, relieved to hear Brian's voice. "Where did you go?"

"Hunt's house," Brian answered. "I never heard back from him, so I was kinda worried... turns out he was hiding out in the dark. Problem is, he doesn't have a fucking clue what he's up against. He's a bit of a mess, and he kinda passed out here... s'why I'm still here. He's not... he did some weird shit before he passed out. Saved my ass, you know, but with magic."

Domino didn't know too much about Hunt, but he knew that he was Brian's friend and Brian always cared and worried about his friends. "Well, I'm glad your ok." He said. "And Hunt." He added.

"Well, hopefully okay," Brian said worriedly. "He's always pretty firmly denied there being any such thing as magic. Vampires, whatever, it's all just shit somebody made up or an exaggeration. But he cast spells, man. I don't get it.... And now he's passed out cold." He scrubbed at his hair with a gloved hand, winced at a spark inside the leather, and then dropped his hand again tiredly. "I'm gonna be a while, man, just... just so you know. And I might wind up bringing him home with me, I don't know yet. Depends on when he wakes up, and what state he's in when he does."

"Just make sure you stay in the dark, and when you come back you... aim right." Domino looked down at Torziel who was now curled at the foot of the bed. "And depending on what time you get in, I might not be here."

"Huh?" Brian blinked, caught off guard by the unexpected statement. He'd fully expected Domino to be there all night again. "Why? Where you going?"

"Well I ran out to... hall... to use... I had to pee." He admitted. "And I didn't want to risk turning on the light in the room. Anyhow I checked my cell and I realized what day it is." Now Brian knew about what Domino could turn into, at least it made this part of it easier. "Gonna stay in the woods tonight."

"What day it i-- oh. Full moon night?" Hadn't Domino said something about the full moon the night before? Hell, he thought he had. When they were talking about... his weird cat-man form, right? Huh. "You don't actually have to, unless you want to, Domino.... You know I won't mind, right?"

"I know." He said softly. "But, if you bring Hunt over, I don't think it'll go over well... I mean if he is like you say." There we go, Dom could brush his reasons off on someone else.

"Shit... suppose you're right, there. He... wouldn't take it well." Brian glanced in the direction of his unconscious friend, though he couldn't see him at all. "I don't think I'll be gone until moonrise, I'll see you before you leave, but we'll see...." He hoped he would, but he couldn't promise. "Look after Tor' for me?" Love you, he thought, testing it out again in his mind. It still felt alien. Odd. Unreal. But he was still testing it out.

"He's not left the room and he won't. I should probably look into lunch though." Domino thought. "You take care and I'll see you when I do." He laid back down on the pillow. "Call me if anything changes."

"I will. Of course I will. You do the same, I've got my cell phone, all that. Take care of yourself, okay?" He knew Torziel would be safe with him, but he didn't know how well Domino himself would do. They were hurting him now, too....

"They didn't follow me when I went into the hall, so I'll be fine so long as Tor stays in the room." Domino informed him. "We'll be fine. Bye." Domino said, making a kissing sound through the phone before he hung up. "So Tor." He said, sitting back up in the dark. "Y'hungry?"
