Reinstating Girl Time.

Who: Marlowe and Jules
When: Afternoon
Where: Marlowe's house

Once she dropped Olivia off at home, Jules headed over to Marlowe's house. She didn't bother calling, figuring that she owed the girl a visit instead for having taken so long to get back to her. She parked her car outside and headed up the walk and onto the porch to knock on the door, shifting her purse on her shoulder. She really wanted to gossip, and ask about Olivia and such. After all, Marlowe did work with the girl.

Roarke and Rogue beat Marlowe to the door greeting the person on the other side with soft barking and a bit of whining before Marlowe was able to swing the door open after making herself somewhat of a barrier between the two shepards and the door.
"Hey Jules." Marlowe said giving the girl room enough to slip inside, yet blocking the open doorway enough to keep the two dogs housebound.

Jules edged herself inside, careful to not let the dogs past her either. "Hey my boys!" she said with a grin, kneeling down to pet the two shepards. "Oh, I've missed you." she cooed. After a moment she stood up and pulled Marlowe into a hug. "I've missed you to, girl." she said, patting the girls back as she hugged her. Pulling away, she smiled. "Where's lover boy?" she asked, looking around.

"Why is it I think you missed them more then me." Marlowe chuckled as she drew back from Jules after returning her hug. "And Lucius is working." Putting a little emphasis on his name in hopes of getting it across to her friend that "lover boy" did indeed have a name. "So. where are we off to this afternoon?"

"Lucius." she repeated back in a bit of a sing-song voice. "Well, doesn't much matter to me. I kind of just want to gossip your head off like crazy, seriously. And you so need to tell me what you've been doing with yourself, or probably more likely, what Louie has been doing with you." she smirked. "So, tell me! Things getting better since your last little fiasco thing? I know we haven't gotten to talk much lately."

"I would say more then better. You know he's living here now, right?" It had been quite a while since they had talked which had Marlowe a bit unclear as to just what her friend knew about the current relationship between her and Lucius.

"Well I knew he spent a lot of time here. You might have mentioned him living here." she shrugged. "Between work and going to California to help dad, I swear I don't know how much I remember." she admitted. "Glad things are good with him though. Guessing he's learned to stop walking away from you?"

"Wouldn't have let him keep coming around if he kept up with that little bad habit. I actually see him still being around a year from now, even longer then that." Marlowe said with a soft little smile. "So. What about you? Got anyone brave enough to try and tame that little bit of a wild spirit of yours?" Which Marlowe was highly doubting, but one never knew. Someone could have snuck up on her just like they had done with her in the form of one Lucius Rembrandt.

"Sounds like a certain someone is getting a little serious with a mechanic." she teased. "And no one will tame this wild spirit... but there is a guy who showed me a really amazing, and I mean amazing time last night. It was just... awesome. Unlike any of my other escapades and you know there've been quite a few of those." Jules had no shame. She didn't care if people labeled her a slut. She felt she had the divine right to do to men as they did to women. Why settle down when she could try new flavors whenever she wanted?

"And does this "amazing time" by chance have a name or did you neglect to collect that?" Marlowe asking with a bit of a smirk cause she had the feeling that even if her friend had gotten a name she might not be all the willing to give it up. Jules sexcapades were just that. Good times with pretty much no attachments. That didn't stop Marlowe though from trying to learn what was going on in her friends life and just whom might be involved in it.

"I got a first name." she smiled. "You should be proud I collected that much. And I know he works at Babylon." she added on. "Speaking of Babylon, there's a girl that works there, actually works at Mya's too, Olivia. Do you know her? I think you do."

"Know of her, can't really say we've talked much. But yeah I know Olivia. And don't think by bringing up a co worker I gonna let you slip it by without giving up the guy's name, Jules. Cause I may just want to be checking him out. You know see for myself if he's quality stuff good enough for my BFF." She grinned back, though a bit more serious then she was playing it off
as.

"His name is Zed." she told her. "But the reason I brought up Olivia is because she's going to be my new roommate. I've got that huge house all to myself and I see her all the time, in and out of the diner and all that. Saw her in the mall today and we got to talking about how she was trying to find a place because Domino left the city and stuff and she was kinda in a bind."

"I thought she was living with her boyfriend? At least I was under the assumption that she was seeing someone, just took it for granted I guess that they were room-mates." Yeah, she was a bit confused cause she thought Dom had been living with Brian before he left town. "Well, glad she had you to get her out of her little bind. Just hope she knows what she's gotten herself into." She said with a little bit of teasingness behind her words.

"Well she's got a boyfriend, Ju... Judiel? I think that's his name. Something like that. But they don't live together. Apparently she was staying with Dom and then Domino decided to leave with his boyfriend I think she said." she shrugged. "Whatever, regardless, she's moving in and all that. It kinda works for me though, it does get kinda quiet around sometimes and with all your occupied time with Loverboy getting your every second, I gotta have someone to talk to." she teased.

"He does not have every second of my day." She chuckled lightly. "And you do have me to talk to. There's this nifty little invention called a phone that makes talking quite convenient." She smirked. Not that she had been one to use it all that often to get in touch with Jules, but then Jules didn't make much use of it either with her current busy little world.

"I know I still have you to talk to, dollface. I just know you're busy and I'm busy and things get so hectic. By the time I get a moment to myself, you're either probably sleeping or... sleeping with Lucius." she chuckled.

"Gotta have someone to keep me warm at night." A little bit of a mischievous smile springing forth with the words. "But seriously, we need to schedule some girl time for like on a regular basis. Especially with us both now living in the same town." She said with a definite nod of her head.

"Definitely. We need to pick a day and do lunch or something. What are your off days? Got any that Lucius works on? If he's working or whatever, I can snag you up without botching up love time and all that."

"I'm off on Sundays and Mondays. Sundays though seemed to have become Lucius and Marlowe day, so technically Monday is my only free day. Of course we could always try to get a girls night in during the week if Monday is a work day for you." Marlowe told her. And she hadn't really thought on it before, but between work and Lucius her time seemed to be quite limited.

"Well I guess me and Lucius will just have to coordinate a visitation schedule or something. I work on Mondays til 5. All through the week til 5 actually. Maybe I can weasel Monday nights out of him though." she said with a shrug. "Tell the boy he and I need to have a talk." she teased.

"We'll figure something out cause I have this uneasy feeling that if you talk to him you'll end up guilting him into giving up more then one night. Maybe we can do Saturday nights. You know make it a girls night out on the town." She said trying to find some kind of compromise.

"You know me all to well. It'd work too. You know he'd give you up for more than one day if I laid on how I haven't gotten to spend any time with you because you're always with him and how much I miss my best friend." She even pouted out her lip a bit for emphasis on her point. "He woulda given you up."

"Yes he would have, and you'd probably having him feeling bad for monopolizing most of my time. Which you can't really blame him for. So, okay. I'll give you one night and two lunches during the week. Will that satiate you for now." Marlowe smiled with her given offer. She thought it was a good compromise. Gave Jules more of her time while not really taking any away from Lucius.

"I think I can handle that. I get an hour for lunch everyday, so just name the day and I'll come by the diner or something." she offered up. "Then we get our girl time and all that. Gossip and the run down on what's going on with me and with you." she smiled.

"Glad my suggestion was able to appease the goddess Jules." She smirked. "Now." Marlowe stated as she went to retrieve her purse. "I'm going to take you shopping,' linking her arm through Jules to lead her toward the door," so you can pick out the perfect gift for me to give you for your birthday, a bit belated I know, but at least I have this for you which was previously purchased well before you birthday." And slipping a hand into her bag Marlowe extracted a small wrapped box to hand over to Jules when the reached the door. Inside the box was a thin gold bracelet.

Jules took the box and opened it, smiling at the little bracelet. "Aww, babydoll. It's gorgeous!" she said, pulling Marlowe into a hug. "Thank you. We so have to make up for not getting to go out on the town. First girls night, we're getting at least a little tipsy. Deal?" She didn't think that Marlowe would want to get full blown drunk, but tipsy she'd just have to deal with. That was part of being twenty-one, you go out with your friends to the bars and you drink. Jules wanted that experience too.

"Deal." She chuckled back. "Just so long as she don't let me go home drunk off my ass." Yeah, cause that really was a side Marlowe wanted Lucius to see. Not. "Maybe we could hit that place you mentioned. Babylon?" She had heard the name before but had never actually made a visit to the place.

"Oooh, yeah. Then I can show you the hot bartender eye candy." she smiled. "Course I'd offer you a lick of him, but you're so infatuated with Loverboy I have the feeling that you wouldn't take me up on that offer now would you?" Probably not. Didn't seem very likely for Marlowe to do such things. Jules and the girl were definitely on different ends of the spectrum when it came to that.

"You know me all too well, Jules." She grinned to the girl as they headed out from the house toward the other girl's car. "Though you do know if I wasn't with Lucius I'd be giving you one hell of a run for your money." She chuckled. Because if there were no Lucius she'd probably be taking a taste of the mentioned eye candy, with or without Jules urging.
